Hotel needs closed down and a full refurbishment dated and dirty. We were there for a dance competition the staff were rude mainly the bar staff . And the security guys its like they were running a prison . We used to love coming here but the last 2 times have been bad . This year was the worst. Made a complaint by email never got a response management most run the hotel like there bar and security very very badly . And I wasn't the only one complaining.

Dear Chantelle, Thank you for this feedback and also your post-stay survey. It is our policy that only food and beverages purchased in the hotel can be consumed in our lobby and public areas. We are sorry this policy caused you distress – we recommend booking self-catering accommodation in the future, as most hotels operate this policy. Yours sincerely, The Gleneagle Guest Services Team

So glad that I went for the mountain view room. Highlights are the extraordinarily comfortable bed and excellent coffee and tea facilities. A big bonus is how close to Killarney national park this hotel is.

The Gleneagle hotel is in a great location with lots of facilities and separate seating areas if you want a little quiet area. It’s in the process of upgrading its rooms. We got one of the older rooms which was comfortable but dated. Looking forward to staying in an upgraded room in the future.

Lovely located Hotel. A stay with a family of 6 with 2 rooms. Ideal to stay when going to the INEC within the hotel for an event. The friendliest of staff we have ever come about. Gave great time for 4 kids. And answered ALL of their Questions. Breakfast was lovely. Lovely clean rooms. Only down fault was the rooms were v warm at night. Would have loved air conditioning. Over all a wonderful stay. Would stay again

Somewhat disappointed with this visit. A 3 generation family break. There are major renovations going on at the hotel that are not mentioned when booking. The dining room is closed. Had to go to restaurant upstairs over O'Ds bar for dinner which was nice. Had to wait 20-25 mins for a table so we went down to the bar for a drink while waiting where my parents in their 80s were given a pint in a single use plastic glass and a glass of wine in a PINT glass !!!! I asked for a proper glass which they had in the bar but was told No ! Very disappointing

Average family room , poor toiletries , food decent, great staff and great entertainment albeit a bit late starting for families. Pool was nice just nothing for kids on a Bank Holiday weekend. Expensive for what you get and €6:40 for a pint of Rockshore !!!! No Heineken or Coors in a venue like this is a big surprise. I suppose that’s it it’s more a venue than a hotel.

Food, drink, entertainment and accommodation under one roof. Great atmosphere. Clean and great service. Shuttle bus service into Killarney Town if needed. I believe there are pool and exercise facilities but I couldn't fit it all in!

Easy location for courses/conferences and staying on site. Parking is a disaster, finding a space after check in time is difficult. Hotel itself is clean, if dated. Staff were mostly fantastic. Food was good and the amenities/entertainment was good.
