Walked by many times without popping in but we decided to rectify that and boy were we glad we did. Although the weather wasn’t the best, we decided to sit outside and then eat outside. The bar menu was what we hoped for, Mac n cheese and chicken fillets were ordered and arrived on big plates. For us the highlight wasn’t the location, weather, food or the spotless toilets, it was without a doubt - The Staff. Businesses are struggling to find staff in Inverness but something is right here as the staff were plentiful and absolutely brilliant. We will be back and spreading the word 👌👌
Stayed 2 nights. Had our dinners in the restaurant. The food was tasty & plenty. The staff in both reception & the dining area very pleasant. The sound proofing is not so good as I was disturbed by the neighbouring rooms before 03:00 returning from night out. Overall we had pleasant experience & recommend the place.
DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL DIRECT! Charged us £165 for a twin room, when I pointed out the same room was on booking.com for £120 they tried to pretend they had dynamic pricing!! This is an adequate hotel for £100 per night and must be the only hotel in the world that it’s more expensive to book direct.
There has been a wide range of reviews for this hotel. From our visit we can only note the following points- welcome was efficient and polite, room was substantial clean and well equipped, evening food was almost typical pub food with large portions. Breakfast was excellent. Overall a better than average
First the positives: this hotel is very well located with plenty of parking. The reception area and bar are nice. The bed is reasonably comfortable, bed linen and bathroom good. But the bedroom was so shabby - torn lampshade, scuffs and a hole in the wall, dirty skirting boards, carpet frayed at the edges. Soundproofing was poor too. I saw a sign at reception saying that the hotel is due a major refurbishment in 2022, and I hope it improves.
Twin beds; one was very lumpy and smelled of urine. Carpet was dirty. We were one the first floor and we could clearly here footsteps, squeaky floor and other sounds above us. The desk clerk, however was working very hard and tried his best to make sure we were happy.
Small dark room, was dusty and hairs on my bed on arrival did the house keeper have there dog in while doing my room? Why was my room dark you may ask? Well covering my bedroom window outside was a caravan blocking the day light 😂. The bathroom was from the 1970s no shower screen or curtain! So every time I had a shower the whole bathroom floor was just soaked. Very loud hotel too all the floor boards creek and paper thin walls could hear the room next to me farting and eating crisps. Good location near town and nice bar and restaurant that’s the only good things.
Beaufort is maybe dated and traditional but meets the requirements for many visiting Inverness who are simply looking for a place to stop over Our single night was trouble free Hotel is warm, clean and staff are excellent Parking at hotel is great Rooms are 'compact' and maybe dated but adequate Our room had a rather small Queen bed which in ideal world would have been bigger Bar staff excellent Afternoon tea was just perfect Breakfast before departure cooked fresh and for those who need a vegan/vegetarian option - 10/10 for the offerings - well done. My partner was well impressed Overall no complaints - a 10 minute walk into town which was just 100% will be back for sure Special mention to the lady who took care of the breakfast room and us - it was her first shift - well done…
Booked for 2 nights stay in a double bedroom, room was decent size although decor and furniture a little dated, bathroom in need of deep clean to remove mould from shower area and window frame. Price was high for the facilities but I believe this may have been supply and demand issue due to Inverness marathon being on today. Breakfast was excellent both days and service excellent, all staff were friendly. Good parking and only a 5 minute walk into town.
All the staff are extremely friendly and be no means intrusive. You are good to be very well looked after by Harold, Ryan and Linda I have forgotten some of the other staff how are clearly well train or have plenty experience in hospitality service. Plus being a Highlander myself I of course like to get a good deal 😉 Have fun and if you are coming from abroad this hotel offer proper Scottish hospitality and on that note it’s a myth created by the elite of United Kingdom that we do not accept tips, you might have do it sneakily as most are not used to it due to the myth created by the people that have no time or appreciation of the people who work so hard for minimum wage. Anyway enjoy Bonnie Scotland 🏴 especially the Highland and Islands.
