Our Premier Inn Glasgow Pacific Quay (SECC) hotel is one of the best places to stay for events in Glasgow. The OVO Hydro arena and Scottish Events Campus - or SEC as it's better known - are less than a 10-minute walk from our Glasgow SECC Premier Inn, perfect if you're visiting for live performances or exhibitions. With Glasgow attractions like Kelvingrove Park, the Riverside Museum and the Glasgow Science Centre Tower nearby, make sure you save some time for sightseeing in Scotland. Our SECC hotel is great for stopovers too - Glasgow Airport is just a 15-minute drive away, and the Exhibition Centre train station is just across Bell's Bridge. Wrap up your days out in Glasgow with a tasty meal back at our in-house Thyme restaurant before heading back to your room and super-comfy bed.

The Premier Inn Glasgow Pacific Quay (SECC) hotel garners praise for its convenient location close to concert venues and central Glasgow, making it a hit with travelers attending events. While many guests commend the overall cleanliness and friendly staff, some have expressed concerns over room maintenance, noise, and inconsistent housekeeping. The riverside views and parking are popular features, though there are occasional grievances about Wi-Fi and breakfast service. Despite reasonable parking fees and meal deals, the hotel faces criticism for price hikes during events and some believe the value could be improved.

I have frequently stayed at this hotel over the past few years. It’s a go-to for me as the location is ideal for attending the ovo hydro.
I have always been made to feel welcomed here and staff are always friendly.
Breakfast is good, lots to choose from and decent for the price. Room was spacious, good choice of amenities, comfortable bed and cleaned to high standards.

This was my first time staying in a premier plus room and was only due to it being the only rooms available. I had previously never stayed in one as didn’t think it was worth it for the extra money however it did exceed my expectations. I enjoyed the extra amenities, nice view and luxury that comes with the room. The only let down is there not being any accessible premier plus rooms as I would have benefited from one.

During other stays staff have gone out their way to make accommodations (for my disability) during breakfast, so to be seated near buffet and when no close seats left was allocated one asap and offered help in meantime.

Often attend with friends. This was my first time solo travelling. I am highly likely to return in the future when staying in Glasgow.
Thank you

As a family we stay at Premier inn a lot! My two boys seem to have a fascination with premier inn. I don’t review every stay as we use them about 8 times per year all over Britain and they are fairly standard, clean, comfy and value for money. However I am reviewing this one as we are impressed with location, slight changes in room decor and view! Our room looked on to SECC and my two kids loved it. Staff are really nice and helpful too. I will definitely stay here again.

This is always my go to hotel when attending a concert at the Hydro because of its perfect location just across the river. It’s a lovely hotel, clean and well kept the staff are very accommodating and friendly. The prices are great although you do find sometimes they go up depending on school holidays or what concert is on but that’s the same every where. The city centre is within walking distance too or an uber costs about a fiver. Check out is noon too so you’re not having to rush to get away.

As a wheelchair user I like to know that what I am coming to is a room which I can access and most importantly use all the facilities without assistance.

I know from previous experience that "Accessible Room" doesn't necessarily mean that my wheelchair can fit through the bathroom door or that I can get into the shower!

I know that any Premier Inn is going to fulfil all my needs and requirements without any of the assosciated anxiety of venturing to a new environment.

The service was fantastic, friendly helpful and efficient staff. Scrupulously clean rooms, a nice low bed - Easy for wheelchair transfers and extra pilows !

On this occasion I chose a room with a bath as this is a novelty for me as I always use a shower chair.
The bath's for disabled access have a decent access area on which to transfer from wheelchair to bath and back and also upon which to dry oneself. The bath is shallower than a regular bath to aid with gettingin/out also which is a MUST.

The Bar and Restaurant were excellent reasonable prices and high quality, breakfast 2nd to none.

Overall for a disabled wheelchair customer I'd not look any further than Premier Inn for a stress free enjoyable stay at very reasonable price in a good location

We stayed here for two nights in a family room. We had a great view from our room. Everything was clean, staff were friendly and they seemed well prepared for everything Covid.

This location is great to get about Glasgow and the surrounding areas as well as being on the River Clyde with lots of walks to be had along the river.

The breakfast is now table service and the tables were well spaced with perspex dividers between the tables.

We will stay again.

Booked two rooms for the family with breakfast- kids eat free ! Staff were very friendly and efficient, rooms were clean and comfortable and breakfast was very filling. A great location and parking was only £4 for 24 hours but you can come and go as you please. Will definitely book again if in Glasgow.

We stayed for one night for a Coldplay concert. The cost of the stay was very expensive compared to previous Premier Inn visits but to be fair this was no doubt more to do with Coldplay being in town as all other hotels had also hiked their prices.

The hotel is on the riverside and its a very nice walk alongside both sides of the river.

Easy to get to by car, car parking was very reasonable (5 pounds for 24 hours) and not too far from city centre - 2 stops on train from Exhibition Centre train station which is 5 minutes walk away (3 pound 60 off peak for return ticket), bus stop is a few minutes away at nearby festival park or walk is about 25 mins.

All staff were polite and helpful when asking for directions to get to Hampden Park.

Room was okay but fairly basic, bed was comfortable and we had a good nights sleep although the quilt had a hole in it and the spare pillows in a plastic case in the wardrobe were marked and dirty and very off putting so we zipped this back up again and managed with the two on the bed.

Breakfast was okay. We didn't think there was a lot of choice for cereal or pastries. The cooked breakfast had everything we'd have expected although the food itself could have been hotter.

We had another great trip and stay at this hotel. It was comfortable, clean and just across from the hydro which was perfect for us. The bed was nice and soft and there was very minimal noise If any from other rooms and outside the hotel (which is great cause I’m a light sleeper.) the breakfast was good and they were very accommodating with our change of breakfast booking as our train had been cancelled. So overall I’d definitely stay here again and we’ll definitely be back when there’s another band we want to see :).

We booked two nights B&B to see The Who in concert which was subsequently cancelled, so we had to use the room or lose it. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was fine with decent air conditioning
There was black mould around the shower sealant which wasn't very nice. There was only one bath towel in the room and I had to go and ask for a second, that's a bit crap for a double room. For some reason we had to pre book breakfast, which was odd as we're booked in as B&B. When I forgot to do this on the second day, I popped down to reception to do it at about 11 o'clock, only to be told that breakfast was full and that was that. Not a particularly nice or helpful man. We went to breakfast anyway and were given a table without any hassle. So apart from the unnecessary breakfast stress it was all good. Car parking g fees are not too extortionate either. There is a bus stop right outside with easy access to the city centre.

It would probably take about 30 minutes or so. We walked to Exhibition Centre station (5-10 minutes) which has trains which run every 10 mins or so and is about 4-5 mins on the train from Glasgow Central.

Having stayed in this hotel twice, I can confirm the wheelchair user will have no problem in the restaurant. Book ahead rather than waiting for the day of your arrival, as the restaurant is often busy. Enjoy your trip
