The Premier Inn Glasgow City Centre (St Enoch Square) Hotel is widely regarded for its tranquil ambiance, particularly on higher floors, which shield guests from the bustling street sounds below. Nestled in the heart of Glasgow, the hotel is lauded for its prime location, despite occasional remarks about noise and the surrounding area. Visitors consistently note the cleanliness and spaciousness of the rooms, although a few have raised concerns about temperature control and upkeep.
While opinions on service vary, with some guests praising the staff and others pointing out less favorable interactions, the hotel's overall atmosphere is considered modern and inviting. Amenities generally meet guest expectations, and the hotel is often recognized for providing good value.

Stayed here for 9 nights, chose the hotel because of the location and the fact its new. I like the premier inn brand and the usual comfort.
Glasgow has changed a lot in the 2 years I last visited and not for the better sadly.
The location is good for getting around however the outside is a bit daunting with lots of groups hanging around.
The hotel is new and nicely decorated.
The reception area is good with self check in available. Had an issue with our first room that was dealt with by a very helpful member of staff (didn't catch her name, sorry!)
Some staff are more helpful/ friendly than others.
The rooms are only cleaned every 6th day of stay which we weren't bothered about as we took our rubbish out everyday and asked for towels when we needed.
I booked breakfast in advance which I wouldn't recommend. 9 days was to much and its possible to just pay when you want to have breakfast there. The restaurant/ bar area is very nice we enjoyed that space and the staff always friendly.
Sadly I had a very unpleasant experience with a staff member who identified herself as the manager, evening of 2nd September and for this reason I'd never return to this hotel or recommend

Spent 3 nights here last week. The hotel is in a great location just 10mins walk from Queen Street train station and about 5mins to Central train station. Check in is from 3pm but when we arrived at about 1.30pm we were able to check-in straight away.
Housekeeping not done daily automatically but on request. Tea and coffee supplies in the room. Bar and block restaurant is attached - buffet breakfast available (£7.50 for continental only, £9.50 for both cooked and continental). We tried breakfast one morning and thought it was OK value for the price, the staff seemed to be quick at topping up items/breads/juices etc too. On the other mornings we got a bacon buttie from Greggs (a few mins walk away on Argyle Street).
Our room on the 4th floor was a good size, and nice and clean. No noise at any point from outside/other guests. Only downside was that we found the room quite stuffy as you can’t open the window. There is air conditioning but my husband find this gives him a sore throat so we didn’t use it much.
Overall it was a good option though, and the price we paid represented excellent value. All the staff we spoke to were friendly and helpful too.

Having booked the hotel in January. One would have expected the two rooms to be the larger family rooms we requested. Since we booked prior to any notification that some windows would be frosted over, one might have expected that we wouldn’t find ourselves in such a room. So for 7 of us staying 8 nights we were in said rooms, but what they don’t tell you is that, not only are they frosted over they are over boarded as well. So there was no way we could get natural light, no way to determine day from night, what the weather might be etc. It was worse than a prison cell. Bearable if one night, but for 8?! We attempted to move but the hotel was fully booked, as a group one family, we wanted to be adjoining rooms or at least next door. We would have been scattered about the hotel on different floors.
We await a response from premier inn as we have complained but no response.
Phone reception was almost non existent and WiFi was equally slow,
The air conditioning was rattling and gurgling all night. What I found odd is that the extract and fresh air comes from the same side of the building, as this was all shrouded in scaffolding sheeting, it’s highly likely the air breathed out was sucked back in along with everyone else’s air on that side of the building. Making a mockery of preventing spreading any covid or other bugs…
Rooms weren’t cleaned due to Covid so we had to replace the toilet paper, ask for bin bags to empty bins arrange fresh towels etc
The toilet seat was loose and the robe hanger was hanging off the door, which for a new hotel is pretty poor. Couldn’t open close connecting door due to all the beds..
Regarding the meals, the menu provided at time of booking and when we checked online during the stay, makes no mention of the numerous extra charges on certain items through the menu. We bought 24 adult meals for the stay to alleviate finding somewhere to eat each night, but the add ones and limited choice for kids menu meant it just wasn’t worth eating there. We felt we had been grossly miss sold the menu and meal deal because it clearly didn’t include anything, and the first we were aware of it was when we sat down to the meal on our first night. Too late to change and eat elsewhere.
For families and for a great meal experience I highly recommend the new Franco Manca we had many meals there and food and service were excellent. They are a new restaurant chain from Italy really new how to deliver food and service which the kids absolutely loved.

Situated near St Enoch's shopping centre this is a great location for gigging in Glasgow. O2 Academy 10 minute walk over the bridge and Barrowlands about 20 mins. great for going to Hydro as Central station a few minutes away and the Cat House. Wetherspoons just around the corner which is great if you want a cheap breakfast and Mcdonald's just across the road.
On arriving at hotel i was swiftly checked in early by a helpful member of staff. I went to my room and the door had the seal of approval that it was all hygienically cleaned etc but when i entered the bathroom the toilet seat was up and there was pee in the toilet (unflushed), marks on the bath where someone's toiletries had once sat and poo marks underneath the toilet paper dispenser (this always seems to get missed by housekeepers as i have come across this before) the mirror on the wardrobe covered in smears, but strangely everything else was immaculate. I didn't complain as the lady was so helpful with checking in so i just wiped down the toilet and flushed the pee away.
Later i left to go to my gig and turned off all the lights and telly and put the heating on so it was cosy on my return. I returned later to find the telly was on which was strange. I went to bed and twice during the night the telly came blaring on waking me up abruptly, i was convinced by this time the room was haunted and couldn't sleep after thinking, if the telly comes on again i'm outta here!! So i tried to sleep with the light on but really struggled. I jokingly asked the nice lady on reception on my departure if the room was haunted and she laughed and said she hoped not and would send a maintenance man to check out the telly. Overall my stay was fine, always liked Premier Inn, staff are always nice but a wee bit more attention to checking rooms before signing them off as "clean" need to be addressed.

Well where do i start . . . . . This new premier inn only opened on the day of our arrival and from first walking through the doors we were greeted by Rhys at reception who gave us a friendly efficient checkin and highly recommended their Bar + Block restaurant. We were planning to dine at the Hard Rock Cafe but decided to try the recommendation. The rooms were tastefully decorated, furnished and an excellent comfortable bed, a box of chocolates and a card to welcome us as first guests. The Staff in Bar + Block also gave us an excellent welcome and our waitress Olivia was very knowledgeable about the extensive menu. The service throughout was excellent and our meals were Amazing, our 9 year old grandson decided to try his first steak which he loved and he also informed all the staff it was a 5 star steak! Even the lady and gentlemen on checkout were also superb who asked how our stay was. We cannot rate this Premier Inn, restaurant and staff highly enough and we shall definitely return!!

+1
Myself and my Girlfriend were coming to Glasgow to see The Wanted at the Hydro and wanted a city centre hotel to stay in, we stumbled across this new Premier Inn located right next to Glasgow Central and the Clyde perfect for a spot of retail therapy and a 20min walk to the Hydro. The hotel does not have a car park but they offer discount at the adjacent Q-Park which works out at around £8 for 24hrs and is a seconds walk away from reception.
After checking in we were placed on the 3rd floor, I was hopefully looking forward to a view over St Enoch Square but unfortunately after getting to our room, the window had been covered and must of overlooked onto a wall, so basically we had a window but just couldn’t see out of it (this wasn’t mentioned upon checking in). This meant the room didn’t have proper daylight coming through and relied mainly on the A/C for fresh air, since we were only staying a night we could deal with this but other than that the room was clean, tidy and still looked new. The attached restaurant is a Bar + Block but due to the time of our concert we couldn’t try it for dinner, however our breakfast in the morning was great with a continental buffet and cook to order breakfast it was all hot and tasted great.
All in all our stay was good, shame we didn’t have much of a view but there was no noises in the corridors or from other people, it was quiet and peaceful. The hotel is in a great city centre location and is an affordable rate if booked in advance, will definitely stay again.

As a regular user of this hotel since it opened, I'm always happy to return at the right price. On this visit it was good to see the reception desk and self-service kiosks have been relocated to a more user friendly site within the entrance lobby. I usually get a room on a higher floor with a full size window, but this time I was allocated room 232 at the front, with a tall narrow window. You could hear the odd traffic thump or rumble, but nothing that spoiled the stay. However, the hot water to the washbasin was always tepid and to a low pressure, while the shower was warm but again to a low pressure. Had I been staying more than 2 nights I'd have flagged it up. I did however flag up the shower gel insert being empty and was told housekeeping would replace it, but they didn't. Next time I stay I'll be more specific about the room location I'm given.

We stayed 1 night & it's the perfect location for exploring the city centre. This is a fairly new Premier Inn & all locations in the hotel are spotless including our room on the 6th floor with views. It's worth paying the extra for the all you can eat breakfast with unlimited tea & coffee refills. Parking in the Jamaica Street car park is literally over the road from the hotel & don't forget to get the Premier Inn receptionist to authenticate your parking ticket to get half price parking, we only paid £10 for 24 hours. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

Faultless throughout. Stayed for 2 nights in a family room with my 5 year old son and my brother (2 adults 1 child). The room was spotless, tea & coffee facilities in the room. Bathroom had all we needed. The double bed was very spacious and the single bed comfortable. Freeview helped fill a few free minutes throughout our stay. The location is fantastic being less than 5 minute walk to Buchanan Street / Argyle Street which is the main shopping area. St Enoch Subway station is right across from the hotel so great access to the underground network. The Breakfast has all you could need and want. Cooked options, baked goods, a range of breads, fruit, cereals, jams/spreads as well as all the tea/coffee you could wat. Restaurant was also spotless and eerything was well laid out. I believe the breakfast host's name was Christina / Christine. Premier Inn, this girl deserves a promotion. Simple gestures of excellent customer service and all done with a smile. You can inform reception if you wish for your room to be cleaned and you can also ask for fresh towels at any time from reception. This was my 3rd time staying in this hotel amd mist definitely will not be the last.

But why don`t you e-mail to them and ask? :)
I am sure there isn't an iron in the room but you can always ask the reception or housekeeping for one.
There is a large mirror and I think there's the small light up one but can't be sure on that last point.
From what I remember yes but with only having short grey hair it didn't get used 😂
