Detailed Reviews
Got to hotel early and Sam checked me in early no problem .My sister had booked another hotel before lockdown but there prices were very high and considering the breakfast consisted of a brown bag with a bacon and omelette roll and no kettle in her room , my choice was to be the best one. Social distance rules and hygiene were second to none while allowing you to have the relaxing stay that I needed. As previous customers have expressed Do NOT let the exterior fool you , inside is abs-fab! Rooms are spotless and very relaxing with everything you could possibly need including a kettle !only having to retrieve top up sundries at reception as staff not allowed in room until you have left. if you need anything special, the attentive staff will go out there way to get it for you.Sitting areas are very relaxing and bar is well stocked .Breakfast well !! unlike my sisters hotel near the quay there was no paper bags! ,, you get service with a smile and the Full Monty ! Delicious ! Warm thanks to William and Luke for their attentive service and friendliness .Also would like to say thanks to Darren who at 4am got me sundries and a friendly chat on departure. When I was checking in Sam must have overheard both my sis and I were celebrating birthdays that wkend and she surprised myself with a bottle of bubbly !! Thankyou ever so much Sam your a credit to the hotel as is all you staff ! Anytime in Glasgow this is definitely the hotel for me and will recommend to all .

Me and my partner stay in the go glasow hotel as it was close to city centre for a gig we were going to, on arrival we checked in at reception and the staff we very accomadating with a walm and friendly welcome told us all we needed to know about our room and stay in the hotel, after putting our bags into our room to witch was very clean through we had a double room the bed was clean, very comfy with tv,free internet. The shower and toilet was also very clean ,room service was limited due to covid but on request we had clean towels and mini toiletries. Dinner service was a very warm welcome by the girls and our meals realy worth what we paid . Returning from gig we had a few drinks in the main bar before heading to our room ,we were greeted by a warm and friendly bar staff who serverd us and any enquires we had was handle very professional the girls names were Kat, Tony on reception, Tracy and Zoe on dinner service and on the bar was I like the girl was durdane if I've spelt it right , and not forgetting jo who I personally found easy to engage in conversation and have a bit of banter with she and the outher staff member are a credit to the hotel . I have all ready booked this hotel again for our next vist and would recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to visit Glasgow Thank you again go glasow hotel for the warm and friendly stay xx

Stayed here over night at the weekend - the service we recieved from Darren was out of this world. Nothing is a hassle and he was always there to meet our requests. Due to covid restrictions the restauraunt was closed but the hotel was very clean and had all the required inplace to make the hotel safe and clean. I really liked the thought of our room keys being cleaned every day and after each use ( see pic attached ). Well done Goglasgow and hopefully when we return we will be able to dine in the restauraunt.

I travelled to the urban as part of a large family group to celebrate New Year’s Eve. Firstly, the rooms were incredibly hot, with no way of adjusting the temperature. We also had no hot water whatsoever for the entire stay. This was the case for most of the rooms we had booked. When reception were informed they acted surprised; although given how many rooms were without hot water it was common knowledge throughout the hotel and there was zero attempt made to rectify the situation or even apologise.
The Hogmanay party was one of the most badly organised, shambolic events I’ve ever attended. The buffet style, cold plates, food quality, quantity of food and service were appalling. Hence, the management offering to order Chinese takeaway for guests who had queued up only to find no food left. The food itself was almost inedible with unidentified bones found in the stew. To add insult to injury, dirty plates were left on tables stacked up for hours, there were no staff clearing glasses or assisting with the food service or on hand to speak to guests who were left hungry.
Most of the bar staff were apparently new, with zero knowledge in preparing drinks, how to use the equipment (the till was left wide open while the bar maid went to find someone who could fix it for several minutes). We also waited over 20 mins for a new member of staff to figure out how to use the coffee machine behind the bar.
Breakfast was also unimpressive, they continually ran out of plates, totally ran out of sausages and juices, and the toast and beans served up were completely cold. Again, there were hardly any staff around to assist or clear tables. Guests who were not downstairs by 10.30 had no plates, no glasses for juice, no milk for hot drinks, items of food unavailable.
To my mind the management of this hotel have attempted to cash in on the Hogmanay event, it did not represent value for money, the atmosphere was terrible due to the queues for food, boxes of takeaway everywhere and dirty plates stacked up. The amount of food served was nowhere near enough for the number of people in attendance. The music was also terrible, two hours of Lewis Capaldi and rap are not exactly floor fillers. The rest of the hotel was shambolic with untrained, clueless staff running the show.
We will not be returning.

First impressions of the hotel are poor, as from the outside it looks like a low rent office block dumped in a car park. Not what their website lead me to believe.
These initial impressions were further compounded when we entered the hotel lobby. The outer doors were scruffy and hard to open; there was a leak from the ceiling just by reception, with a bucket catching drips, there was a pile of laundry next to reception and bowl of yellow liquid into which used room keys were placed. There were various signs about COVID rules blu-tacked to the walls at odd angles but the staff were not in masks and the place did not look that clean.
The first room we were given a key to was not acceptable. This was mainly because the door to the room would not lock, as the lock was faulty. When we went back to reception to say we needed a different room the receptionist appeared not to believe me and instead of offering us another room immediately went up two flights of stairs to test the door and key, leaving us waiting in reception! Very poor customer service. He returned, accepting that the lock was faulty and offered us another room which was ok.
The room had apparently been cleaned but it was not a very thorough job. I went to use the phone to call reception and it was thick with dust.
During our one night stay in the hotel we also noticed several trays outside rooms with the remains of food on them. These were not cleared up at all, which seemed to be a clear signal of a lack of cleanliness or staff.
There is nowhere nearby to eat, so we walked 25 minutes into the Finnieston area of Glasgow and had an excellent meal there.
The bed was ok but the sound of the nearby M8 is noisy, so we had to close the windows despite it being a warm, stuffy night.
Breakfast was not great either. The pot of tea was luke warm and had to be sent back. The full Scottish breakfast was ok if unremarkable. They were awaiting a delivery so we could not have toast as there was no butter!
The only really positive thing I can say about the hotel is that it is very reasonably priced as we paid £54 for the room with breakfast on a Sunday evening. But I would not stay here again as there are plenty of nicer hotels in better locations with more professional approaches.

The female manager with black hair spoke to me and my work college very poorly, and from the moment we arrived at the hotel things just went downhill from there. They hotel insisted they where COVID 19 friendly the 1 first room we arrived in had not been cleaned, the second had a dirty pair of shorts stuffed down the side of the bed and the third had empty condom wrappers under the bed with cigarette tabs docked out on the window ledge. Then the hotel say the had some mysterious water leak which changed location every hour and that all of the guests had to change hotel. After speaking to a very pleasant man that was unloading some stuff from a large van he said he was unloading a set for a Bollywood movie to be filmed in the hotel so it sounds like they made this water leak business up just to empty the hotel to film a movie. I find this completely and utterly absurd the hotel just lied to everyone’s faces about there being a water leak, when we confronted the manager about paying the transfer between hotels she laughed and sniggered in our faces saying I’m not paying that which I think is highly ridiculous because we had to change hotel because of them.
Then only one good thing about the hotel was a staff member called Tony that tried to help us the best he could and make our stay more pleasant.

Second time staying here, first time wasnt good experience but that was some years ago hence our second visit. Allowed us to check in early, room small but clean, Shower powerful, breakfast was self service and replenished frequently, disappointed coffee was instant you make yourself, filter coffee would have been nice and not too much to ask for the prices they charge. Free parking for hotel guests. Not too bad, however worst nights sleep ever due to very uncomfortable mattress, my husband had to take painkillers middle of the night as his back started to hurt and mine is similar this morning. Would only stay here again if I couldn't get anywhere else.

Ideal for a one night stay, close to the city centre with cheap subway or railway options. Check in staff were very friendly and the self-serve breakfast was of a good quality with Scottish additions.
I stayed in a standard double room, the television did not work as there was no signal to the freeview channels. The bed was comfortable and the general decor of the room was modern. The bathroom is very small but the shower is good with constant hot running water, the glass shower door was hanging off the rail but was easily fixed.

Hotel is easy to find and just off a main road, it had parking when we arrived but I can imagine it filling up fast. The location is about 10/15 mins away from the city centre depending on traffic, Ubers cost us around £9 each way seeing as we didn’t end up staying here.
The hotel lobby looks okay although slightly dated. Check in was fast and easy once the receptionist/manager finally came from the restaurant.
One thing to note is this hotel operates actual keys for rooms with quite chunky room number tags, not key cards. Hence why you can only have one key and it’s £30 or so for losing it. We were attending a concert and this would have been a hefty thing to carry.
Our room (standard double) had a layer of dust, glass marks on the table and dirty towels. The mattress had the depth of half my hand and when you sat on it there was no spring, you just sunk to the bed base. We were also graced with one paper thin, flimsy pillow each. Then, to make things even better unbeknownst to us we opened an unlocked door in our room and walked straight into an occupied room next door. Major security breach, both interconnecting doors should have been locked and not just shut.
I went to complain to the desk and the receptionist went to get her manager who had checked us in. She apologised but insisted the interconnecting doors were locked. We were upgraded a suite which was a kind and welcomed gesture.
The suite was also unlocked and I was able to walk straight in. The room was huge and looked a much better quality. The bed was big and bouncy and we were even given two pillows each. The room was cleaner apart from water marks on the bathroom glasses, some dust on the ledge of the shower but compared to where we had just been it looked 10x better. There was an annoying buzzing sound coming from outside but the windows were closed. Sockets are few and far between so when I went to charge my phone, I had to crawl on my hands and knees to unplug the bedside lamp. This is when I was greeted with a used condom under the bed. This was the last straw, we gathered our unpacked belongings (since we had been there less than an hour between two hotel rooms) and went to check out.
The receptionist/manager did give us a full refund as I requested and allowed us to park for free for the two days we were meant to stay. Just don’t bother, £50 more for us a lovely, clean, modern hotel right in the city centre which we had to book at check out. Take your money and run. I wish I had taken more photos but honestly couldn’t check out fast enough.

I may just have been unlucky but my weekend stay here was a disaster (to the point that it was almost comical).
Initially I was put in a room with a single bed - when I asked the staff did quickly change me to a double without any fuss which was nice of them.
However the room I went into had lots of issues - one window with no curtain (just a transparent net blind), no plugs near the bed, no hot water in the morning, no working radiator, 2 of the 3 the plugs that were in the room weren’t working. The receptionist provided a heater but using this meant I couldn’t charge my phone in the single working socket. The hot water situation resolved in the afternoon when there was less demand, and a maintenance person did come and fix the plugs. At this point I discovered that if the heater was on at ‘high’ it shorted out the all lights and plugs. Some maintenance people let themselves into my room before I could open the door for them wanting to change an areal socket - but then realised this had already been done.
The receptionist kindly gave me a complimentary breakfast for the issues, but the waiting staff lost my order so I waited for 30 mins for breakfast. When it came it was really poor quality food.
On my second night the fire alarm went off at 2330 (I think the staff said this was due to a smoke machine being used for an event.)
The hotel obviously needs some investment to bring it up to a basic standard.
