Hotel's Favourite
We were given a gift for tea for two at the Dilmah tea lounge. The lounge is situated just off the foyer of the hotel. The tea house is elegant and well decorated. We were warmly greeted by Lazaros who showed us to our table and explained the various teas to choose from. We selected out teas which complemented our first course of sandwiches and bites including smoked salmon, egg mayonnaise, haggis bon bons, and coronation chicken. The portions were small but very tasty. The desserts were served with prosecco and again, the food and presentation was exquisite; swan shaped profiteroles, freshly baked scones, mini lemon meringues. The whole experience was lovely and special thanks to Lazaros and Miguel for their attentiveness. Recommended.

Lovely overnight stay at the Hilton in Glasgow.
The building and location are obvious results of the 1960s redevelopment of certain parts of the city.
As Billy Connolly jokes it’s the most visible hotel in the city yet the hardest to find!
So plan ahead if your not used to driving in Glasgow !
Once you arrive the car park is narrow and under ground but has direct lift access to the lobby, parking is a very reasonable city centre rate of £12 per night for guests.
The hotel is a grand old lady with a lot of modernising and obvious refurbishment in the communal areas, the Whisky bar and the restaurant where we had breakfast are particularly stylish.
The room was clean and bed comfortable - bathroom was of its era but again clean with shower over bath.
We paid for a room rate that included breakfast and it’s was one of the nicest hotel breakfasts We’ve ever had - full credit to the kitchen staff and particularly the two men working the breakfast shift they were so friendly and polite.
Each member of staff we met was nice and friendly and working hard in these difficult times all were wearing masks.
The Covid regulations were professional and well executed particularly at breakfast service where a lot of thought was put into the safety and presentation of the food.
Prices in the bar are Hilton rates for sure but we didn’t mind as it was a Birthday treat and the selection of Whisky and Gin was good.
Would certainly stay at the hotel again once the leisure facilities are allowed to reopen.

One night stop off at the Hilton Glasgow, my favourite British hotel. Three rooms for all the squad, in the Executive Suite, floor 19. Some things have changed, but the staff are on top of it, and make very sure that everywhere possible is cleaned and sanitizer fluid is throughout the hotel for your use. Meals are a bit different and everything is served to you at your table.
Well done management and staff, you are without doubt in control of the situation and are doing everything you possibly can to keep this hotel virus free.

I booked the Main Hilton Glasgow (William Street),for mine and my wife’s annual weekend away without the kids, and having stayed at this particular hotel twice on business, I was excited to bring my wife here for our special 10th Anniversary.
We always stay at Hilton whether on business or pleasure due to the consistent quality and levels of service provided...
I booked two separate bookings, one on my card for the Friday stay for a King Deluxe Room and the same room type for Saturday using my HH points.
Upon checking in on the Friday, I explained about the two separate bookings to ensure we did not have to move rooms, and to make our stay run smoothly.
After breakfast we asked reception, if they could provide two firm pillows to our room and left to go for a walk into Glasgow.
When we returned to our room, we found our keys no longer worked and had to return to reception to explain the scenario, the lady explained the two bookings had not been linked despite our endeavours upon check in.
We were advised that our pillows had been left in our room and was asked, if we wanted housekeeping but replied ‘no thanks’ as we would have expected this to have been carried out whilst we were out for the best part of the morning and afternoon.
When returning to our room, we wondered whether when the pillows had been delivered by housekeeping and wondered if they would have carried out any housekeeping, it was clearly a no upon arrival as the two pillows were left on the end of our bed and dirty coffee cups remained.
Room nice & breakfast lovely but lack of customer service and housekeeping was a let down.
Poor customer service from Hilton on this special occasion, and just a shame that the levels of service failed to match our expectation and previous experiences.

My wife and I spend three most enjoyable nights in the Hilton in Glasgow where the staff were so pleasant and helpful. We were celebrating the end of my wife's 50's as she is 60 this year and I am 65. We decided to visit as our Christmas box to each other. The hotel upgraded us and left a bottle of Prosecco in the room with some chocolates and fruit. Lazaros looked after us in the Tart & Lobster dining room and came to see us in the Executive Lounge prior to our departure on Christmas Eve. The rooms were spotless, breakfast ex excellent and the steak in the dining room was one of the best I have eaten for a long time as the beef is aged properly.

Check in was very efficient and everything done as Covid safe as possible, hand sanitiser extensively available at all touch points (eg reception, elevator etc). Great sized room and even though it was facing the motorway there was no noise from outside. Lovely comfortable bed and excellent linen and pillows ensure a great nights sleep.
Restaurant closed in the evening but the bar was serving a reduced menu which had something to cover all tastes. Food very good, service excellent and friendly. Breakfast in the morning is severed in the restaurant and is full table service, great quality ingredients and cooked perfectly.
Felt very Covid Safe and booked to stay the next weekend, which was a repeat of this first visit.

+1
Myself and my wife stayed at this lovely hotel for 2 nights from the 18th to the 20th of September.
Located in a very good location within walking distance to all the shops, bars, restaurants and cafes. We also walked it to the west end which took us around 20 minutes (well worth it).
The parking at the hotel is underground and costs 12 pound per day, the lifts go from the car park to the reception.
Check inn was straight forward and the staff were so well mannered and polite, they gave us all the information we needed for our stay regarding breakfast times etc.
The hotel and room itself was immaculate and very clean, everything had been sanitized (even a sticker across your door to say its been completed). The room we stayed in was very large and comfortable with coffee machine, mini bar and a very comfy bed.
We both slept well both nights and we both agreed that the highlight of the hotel is definitely breakfast, once you have agreed you time you are seated and everything explained but the vast selection is amazing from fresh smoothies to fresh fruit in sealed jars. You can also have cereal, toast, coffee and tea which the waiter/waitress will organise for you. The cooked breakfast was amazing and the friendly and very smiley chefs definitely aim to please (lovely people).
Overall we would definitely stay at this hotel again and definitely recommend it, Hilton should be proud to have an hotel with staff that aim to please and are so helpful, kind and polite.
Thank you for a lovely stay

Good sized room. Clean. Good breakfast. Covid measures such as hand sanitiser and perspex screens, but nothing in your face as with some other hotels. Still offering a full service, inc laundry, however the evening meal menu was somewhat limited.
Only annoyance was that the aircon kept switching itself off, after which the room temperature shot up to 23/24 deg. This was fixed however, after a trip to reception and an engineer visit to turn the motion sensor off. One slightly uncomfortable night, but not enough to knock a star off imo.

The hotel has been upgraded, well appointed even in the standard room. The room was well appointed, the small things like a plug for the hairdryer was beside a mirror, unusual in many hotels. Car parking was tight for manoeuvrability but for a city centre location was great with no extra cost for residents

It was quiet in the hotel but its only being open for a few weeks since lock down. The staff were all lovely and helpful. You have hand sanitising station, different signs about cleanliness in the room stayed on the 20th floor and had lovely view of Glasgow. I feel they have adjusted to the changes well and it didn't effect my experience. We were ask to book for the bar and breakfast so its was to busy which I thought was a good idea. Food and drinks were lovely. I look forward to coming back again. Sorry I didn't get the name of the staff but it was the same staff in the evening and the morning all lovely.

Hi yes you can. Only thing I’d say is only executive room guests can access the executive floors by lift with their room cards,so it’s a case of meeting friend at reception and then heading up to executive floor from there. Hope that makes sense
Sorry I don't know as l was only there for afternoon tea
