Doubletree By Hilton Glasgow Central boasts a vibrant atmosphere with live music and chic decor, although it's not immune to noise complaints due to festivities and nearby construction. Guests give the staff high marks for their friendly and efficient service, though there are occasional hiccups. The central location is popular for its accessibility to local attractions, despite some construction annoyance.
While opinions on value and noise level diverge, cleanliness and room comfort generally meet travelers' expectations. The amenities, including the pool and gym, are appreciated, but some visitors suggest they could be better managed.

Absolutely love this gem of a hotel . The staff are fantastic and so friendly. We stayed 2 nights in a king room as diamond members and the bed was huge and comfy. The executive lounge is the star attraction as it’s such a lovely comfortable vibe with snacks & soft drinks all day and canapés and drinks in the evening . Raymond in the exec lounge is a fantastic asset to this hotel as he runs the lounge perfectly with great attention to detail and always on hand for topping up your drinks. He is so friendly and full of recommendations for dining out places in the city. Your breakfast is delicious what a lovely variety of delicious food. We also done an afternoon tea with Prosecco and the food was yummy . We were full and couldn’t manage to eat the lot such nice fresh offerings. Just love a city break in this delightful hotel 😍

Stayed for two nights just before Christmas. The hotel has its own underground car park at £9 per night which is really handy. Location is great, just off Sauciehall Street with all the great shopping in Glasgow within walking distance and a subway station close by if you want to travel further afield.
We were upgraded to a king room on arrival and as the room wasn’t quite ready we were given drinks vouchers for the bar which was a nice touch. The room was lovely, spacious with a couple of chairs and a coffee table, big tv, tea/coffee making, and a safe. Bathroom was small but very nice with Crabtree & Evelyn toiletries, and a good shower over the bath. The Bath was very short though! Our room was on the 5th floor and we didn’t hear any noise from parties or functions or from the street. Staff were all lovely and friendly as well, and of corse you get the welcome cookie at check in as well. All in all, a great hotel and would recommend.

Stayed for one night after travelling from Skye to Glasgow on route home. Arrived late into the evening and was introduced to Terry on reception. Extremely kind and accommodating, Terry offered us a room with a bathtub instead of just a shower which we were extremely grateful for after our long drive. And also grateful for the delicious cookies too! Thanks Terry!! Excellent room with two double queens. Super comfy bed and pillows. Delightful stay and parking was Fab-which we were allowed to keep our car in for the rest of the next day while we had a day out in Glasgow for only £9!! Will be back!

Originally booked for a treat for my daughter's 18th in January but due to new restrictions announced had to cancel, so rebooked for April when restrictions were eased again. Staff are very cheery and helpful and check in was very reassuring seeing all Covid procedures in place, arrived at room and seal on door informing us the room had been sanitizied, and QR code on bedroom mirror to scan for welcome information, which included details regarding extra cleaning especially for areas that are constantly touched. Then entered bathroom and immediately noticed both mirrors were dirty especially the extendable mirror from the wall, and also graffiti scrawled at the top of bathroom door, So decided to take clinical wipes all over surfaces, lights and switches etc myself, as I wasn't confident about any cleaning procedures I had assumed were done, very disappointing not at all Hilton's usual standards.

Stayed here last week for work.
The hotel is very modern with nice big rooms and one of the most comfortable beds I have every slept in!
It was appreciated to have a hot breakfast in the morning( something which a lot of hotels just now don’t seem to be doing) served by a very chatty and friendly waiter.
Overall I found this hotel to be clean, safe and well managed with all the staff I came into contact with being very professional and friendly.
There is an under ground car park at the hotel which is £10 for 24 hours stay and was easy to get in and out of.
I would stay here again when I’m next in Glasgow and hope that once they are allowed to open the pool, to use this too!
Well done DoubleTree Glasgow

On Monday 2nd March I took my 87 year old mother, with some family members, to the Doubletree Hilton for afternoon Tea as a birthday treat.
It was a very enjoyable experience.
We had made the reservation prior and informed them that it was my mothers birthday. A nice table was allocated and her tier plate decorated with a birthday greeting. A small but nice and welcomed touch.
The staff we made contact with were all very nice, courteous and professional.
Parking within the hotel complex made access for my disabled mother much more straight forward than some places.
So whilst I cannot comment on the hotel in terms of accommodation, I am more than happy to give it a positive endorsement for the attitude and service provided by the staff we encountered and the quality and value of the Afternoon Tea. Hope this helps.

Stayed here 26th July for 1 night. Nice hotel with friendly staff. We were expecting changes with COVID-19 but to be honest the breakfast in the morning was a shambles. Myself and my daughter waited at a buffet table with no food or plates on it for 20 minutes eventually to get 1 coissaint each and a small carton of orange juice. The young lad running around seating people and trying to get food out by himself even admitted it was a shambles.
We expected teething problems but you still have to keep up some kind of service for your customers.
Worst breakfast experience I’ve had in a hotel ever.

I was meeting a friend at this hotel and dropped in around 3pm on 11 January 2020. I was on my own and very wary of that, when suddenly a man who worked at the hotel reception introduced himself as Aiden McPherson. He said he'd noted I was looking around for someone, and looked a bit lost . He offered to help and took me to a seating area, where I could sit and wait for my friend. He was very chatty and clearly loves his job. If this is the calibre of your staff, I applaud you. This young man was very presentable and so helpful, to the point that when he saw my friend come in to meet me, he came across to us and and offered more assistance to make sure we knew where we were going.
All your staff were friendly and helpful, but this young man went over and above what was required. Thank you Aidan. We will be back.

My husband and I booked here for 3 nights as part of our anniversary and we were attending country to country at the hydro. I searched for the hotel initially on booking.com and it advises in the description section that the hotel is minutes from the hydro, so we thought perfect and booked it. Found out it is infact not minutes from the hydro its a 30 minute walk or 10-15 minute drive. I messaged the hotel before arrival and was told I must be looking at the wrong hotel they don’t advise that. It’s literally still their description on booking.com but whatever. So in terms of the service before arrival we were not best pleased and the extras costs /travel time we incurred because of the misleading description was annoying.
The hotel itself was beautiful however, the staff when we arrived were very friendly and welcoming. Our room was beautiful, spacious with the most amazing shower I’ve ever had at a hotel ( we are frequent travellers ) the bed was a disaster for us it was rock solid and so uncomfortable. I phoned reception and they kindly sent up two thick duvet covers to put underneath to help us sleep better which did help. The room was set up for single occupancy for some reason so only one towel and one cup but the staff promptly brought up more towels. This might seem like a stupid part but the window in the hotel opened right up, which to me was a great thing we like to sleep with an open window and most hotels have a latch that barely lets it open.
The pool area we were gutted we never got to use it was always really busy and a lot smaller than the photo suggests ( cannot stress enough how much the photo is misleading ).
Overall it was good, in terms of location of hotel for other things in Glasgow it’s great, the hotel itself beautiful our weekend was just ruined because we booked it solely thinking it was close to hydro and it wasn’t.
