Beautiful setting - the grounds were lovely, lovely staff - professional but friendly and nice - just prefect. The place was clean throughout. I’d have loved a comffier bed and the sound travelled on te top floor such was annoying but otherwise a perfect stay and good value.
A member of our party needed a walk-in shower, I phoned the hotel, and they had one room with that option - reception promised to call me back ... and did! All sorted. The rooms were excellent standard, the facilities good, the grounds lovely (though we didn't have much time to spend in them!), the bar & restaurant were pleasant, the food good. But it for the friendliness of the staff, from receptionist to cleaner, that this hotel stands out for me.
I have stayed here many times and have always been very pleased with the hotel. On this occasion my room was well appointed and very clean. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. It's always very quiet and the food is good. Recommend staying here.
Hotel is slightly off the beaten track surrounded by houses,, well signposted coming in via Leslie Road, but not from the A92, Hotel is beautiful in its own grounds, peaceful. Sit out on the terrace after breakfast, evening meals book table
I stayed in one of the Garden bedrooms room 240 on Saturday evening. It was lovely with a fantastic view of the gardens. It even had patio doors leading to a little seating area. The bed was really comfy and the bathroom was brilliant too. I didn’t have breakfast instead opting for an early swim when the pool opened at 8am. I had the pool to myself for the first 20 minutes which was a bonus. The changing rooms were fab too with amazing water pressure for the shower afterwards. I definitely intend to rebook on our next visit to Scotland!
Be warned beds in family rooms (garden rooms) very uncomfortable soft old mattresses that slope towards the floor. Staff very friendly on the whole and room clean but terrible nights sleep and breakfast service very poor.
Hotel is a great base for visiting central Fife. Car Parking isn't a problem. Facilities are excellent. Restaurant is reaonably priced, good value and the food itself is good if not exceptional. Room was comfortable and spacious. Grounds and surrounding areas pleasant and relaxing.
This was our 2nd time staying here the last time was pre covid 2018 . We really enjoyed that so we decided to go back , that was a mistake. We was told dinner was fully booked until 8.30pm . Lucky we had pre booked it for 7pm . On our arrival they couldn’t find our reservation but managed to fit us in to a half empty restaurant. We ordered our food and when it turned up was over cooked & burnt the beef burger was awful I’ve had better at Mac Donald’s . French fries no actual chips option. We could have cooked better at home . We sent it back Very disappointed. Prosecco was well over priced @ almost £9 got a small bottle. Breakfast wasn’t much better the plate was roasting hot & the food all dry must been left under a heat lamp . Hotel is in a lovely set out garden just a shame the food standards have let the whole experience down . We won’t be back .…
I was part of a bridal party. I was bridesmaid, the way I was greeted at reception was actually very rude and unwelcoming. I stayed 2 nights at this hotel, the staff at reception were very unhelpful and continued to be rude to our party the whole stay. I was actually disgusted in how we were treated. Cleaners were also talking about our guests in the halls. It was the most disgusting behaviour I've ever experienced from any hotel. Will not be back!!
My wife and I stayed at Balgeddie to attend a wedding. We had a great experience and highly recommend the hotel. The service overall was very good and the food was excellent. Our room was very good sized and very clean with good amenities. Breakfast was excellent with a good choice of food and quick and friendly service.
