Princes Street and Gardens
Glaswegians tease Edinburghers that their High Street
is only half one, since buildings only line one side.
But what they don’t say is how extraordinary the views
are from Princes Street as a result. From here you
look onto expansive and decorative public gardens
beneath the mighty basalt cliffs on which Edinburgh’s
Castle stands proud above the rest of the dramatic old
town skyline. Yet many of those on Princes Street look

This hotel is right across the road from Waverley Station. The location is superb as are the staff. The room we had was bay windowed overlooking Princes Street. It was great with superb views, although a little noisy. It didn't bother me but my husband used the earplugs which the

I had stayed a night opposite in the Balmoral and then transferred here when my colleagues arrived in town.

The experience was impressive.

The staff could not do too much for me.

We stayed at the beginning of December and first impressions were good. Check-in was very friendly and fast. We arrived at 2pm and one of our rooms (there were 4 of us staying) was ready early, so were allowed to leave our baggage whilst we went out exploring Edinburgh. The hotel

Is it a long walk to the castle from the hotel
It is not! It isn’t a far walk to most of the area highlights. It’s the center of everything.

Can someone tell me what rooms types are offered at this hotel please. I cannot find room description on either their own website and on here when I try to find out about it rooms the link/tab isn’t working (not a great start but have seen that reviews are generally good). Thanks.
The rooms seem to be mostly doubles with a shower. A fair size and some have views of the castle. Very clean and comfortable.

Is there an option to have breakfast delivered to the room?
They offer room service, but with a shorter list of choices on the menu compared to the restaurant itself.

What kind of breakfast comes with the room when booking from the app? Thanks
Our rate didn’t include a breakfast. We were offered full breakfast when we checked in but this was £16 per person so we decided to eat out in the morning. It’s very close to many cafes, coffee shops and restaurants which all serve breakfast.
