Excellent value hotel for a short break and very helpful staff. There is no restaurant attached, so no meal deals. However, there is a Green Tree Pub and Grill (The Bell Tree) offering terrific pub food.

A short overnight stay, we found the room to be very clean and comfortable, efficient check-in and check-out, nice welcome and the breakfast was excellent. Parking was ample and the location for our purpose was just perfect, thoroughly recommend.

Excellent service, comfortable rooms, good basic food. On arrival outside of the hotel had lots of takeaway cartons spread around the bin. Guests did not consider mask wearing essential. Staff in general were very helpful and really couldn't do enough for you

Two of us spent 3 nights here in a quiet first floor room. The facilities are very good and the room is spacious and well equipped. Our room had a bath which is useful and which many budget hotels do not always offer. Another bonus is lined curtains, another small point but especially important in summer months. No air conditioning but a large fan helped keep the room comfortable during the very hot weather this summer. A pub is adjacent to the hotel and a Co-op and fast food restaurants are across the road.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the shops are quieter as road noise might be an issue to the rear facing rooms.

I know it only happens a few days a year (Heatwave in Scotland) but when the room temp is circa 25 plus it's almost impossible to sleep, however the room and bathroom are a good size, clean and well presented, I have stayed at this hotel four times over the last four weeks and I will definitely stay again only next time if we are so lucky as to have another "heatwave" I will book an hotel with aircon. and I would definitely book again.
