This continues to be a great hotel. Within walking distance of the city centre. Love the quirkiness. However biggest issue is the lack of parking spaces. We managed to arrive at a decent time so managed to find a space. You pay £12.5 for that privilege. The hotel is right beside another hotel so they share the spaces. Not ideal. You have people parking at disabled spaces and charging spaces. Please please please arrange for better parking facilities.

It was very nice to stay in a hotel with real character, being an old converted jute mill, with fantastic views across the River Tay. Our upper floor suite was extremely spacious with a very comfortable bed and splendid bathroom (apart from the lack of a decent mirror light). There was a generous fried breakfast menu, but the covid precautions were excessive - apart for the hot drinks, every item at the buffet was individually packaged in plastic, which must create a huge amount of waste. I was told this was due to government advice, but we didn't find this in our Glasgow hotel a week earlier. (Covid is mostly transmitted via aerosol droplets not from touching surfaces)

We spent a night at the hotel. We checked in at 8PM and were allocated room 206, which was the standard twin room we booked for 17K IHG points (a great rate). Parking was apx. 17USD. The hotel’s lobby features an eclectic array of industrial materials and 1980’s memorabilia and looks absolutely wonderful. We were not prepared for such a room, though. Our bran new room was massive! It featured a curved high brick ceiling, 2 queen beds, 2 giant windows with shades, a desk and chair, an armchair and coffee table. There was also a big TV, a minibar, a safe and complimentary water bottles. The bathroom was huge as well, and featured a giant shower with a good water pressure, a sink, a toilet and Arran bathroom toiletries. We had a fantastic breakfast at the hotel’s Daisy Tasker restaurant at apx. 14USD per person, as it was not included with our IHG points rate (I’ve written a separate review about it). Two thumbs up go to Mr. Ivan Marinov at reception, who was absolutely remarkable in welcoming us and taking care of us. Bottom line - this is an absolutely fantastic hotel. Make sure this is your hotel while in Dundee.

We visited for an overnight stay for our wedding anniversary on a DBB deal. Unfortunately shortly before we were due to arrive our son had an accident and we were almost not able to make it, reception staff were very understanding and accomodating regarding that and I'm glad that in the end we did go. The lobby area is very stylishly decorated and check in was smooth and easy. Parking is limited but we did get a space without much hassle (this is chargeable, permit given on check in and pay on check out, no difficulty). Our room was spotlessly clean and nicely laid out, my only niggle is that I like a bath and it was just a walk in shower but that's simply personal preference. We chose to have the wine from our deal in our room while getting ready but I understand there is an option to take it to dinner. The meal in the Daisy Tasker restaurant was delicious and the cocktails were great too, we both opted for the Sunday roast chefs special and couldn't fault it. The breakfast was also a great choice of options and very nice. Good location with an easy walk into Dundee for bars etc. The main thing that makes this hotel stand out is the staff, every single person we encountered was friendly, professional and obviously very well trained. The management should be very proud of their exemplary team. We will definitely be back.

This is a superbly comfortable and quiet hotel. Nespresso, wi fi, great beds and bedding, big tv, huge easy shower with no step up to it and lovely little cool decor details. Staff are lovely snd breakfast was good. Easy reach of V& A too. Wonderfully quiet and we parked right outside. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Wonderful old building, beautifully adapted to become an excellent hotel.
