Lovely hotel just outside of the main town area. Staff were friendly and good choice for breakfast. The view from the lounge bar made it feel as though was cruising on the open seas. Liked the fact that Tunnocks products were made available as a snack in the room.

We have just returned home after staying here the last 3 days, what can we say it’s perfect in every way from start to finish. Staff still look after you very well and so so friendly. Food to die for especially the seafood meals,I was really impressed this morning with my two poached eggs, the best I have ever tasted cooked to perfection I even spoke to the chef and congratulated him👍The room was very spacious and emaculate I had to ask for a softer pillow and it was put in our room, no bother at all. I was sorry not to see Mark who is the manager he was away on holiday. Maybe see you next time hopefully 🙏 It was great to see some usual faces as well as some new ones .Staff here are just one big family and they make you feel part of it too. Special mention to Abbi, Brian,Bear, Elona just a few of the staff who go above and beyond well done to you all see you next time kindest regards Jean and George Manson.

We had a lovely stay here at the start of March. The hotel is lovely, service was excellent and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful throughout. The views from the bar are stunning and we took in the sunset with a drink here on our first night which was spectacular. We booked the thermal experience for the second day and it was amazing. We spent the majority of our time in the hot tub again relaxing with the stunning views and a glass of Prosecco. It was pure bliss and I would highly recommend but you need to book in advance as it books up pretty quickly. Food was lovely in the restaurant but I would say a little over priced. The only reason I did not give this stay 5 stars is because much of the furniture was very worn and some with stains. I think it is probably in need of some new furnishings throughout and this would just finish it off nicely. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again

Just back from 3 days at the hotel to celebrate my husband’s 70th birthday. They made him feel so special The hotel is beautiful and the jewel in the crown is the Atlantic Bar with the most beautiful view. A gorgeous space to spend hours. The staff are great, so friendly and helpful and they make you feel so at home. Food is delightful I would highly recommend staying here

Our group had a wonderful time at the spa - we were there for a friend's hen do. Two girls even booked overnight stays for later in the year before we had even gone into the spa! Everyone loved their treatments and the facilities were really lovely. Plus, the afternoon tea got high praise (one member of our group has a severe nut allergy, so she was given her own selection of everything to be extra safe!). The team were all super helpful (particularly Kimberley, who I spoke with most often to get organised) and the day went super smoothly. I would definitely recommend!

Excellent care and attention from all staff who went out of their way to look after us. Excellent rooms and views. Great food. Staff took the time to find out all details for our trip to Mull and Iona and arranged a back up hotel when we got stranded on the island

Firstly the scenery is gorgeous. The conservatory is the ideal place to sit and soak it all in. Menu had some great seafood dishes. Or dog loved getting his own sausage for breakfast this was a lovely touch. Bedroom lovely and quiet. Shower was powerful and warm. Only down side not much parking at hotel 2 electric and 2 disabled so had to park on street and pay. Other hotels seem to have more spaces along the esplanade. Lovely stay.

Booked a spa break through spa seekers. Kept my expectations low as a friend mentioned they had stayed before and weren't overly impressed. My husband and I were pleasantly surprised as we were given an upgrade. The reception team was so welcoming and made us feel very relaxed. We had a lovely chat about holidays in Salobrena, Spain, with the friendly Spanish waitress. Our spa experience was just as good , very professional service from Kimberley across Sat and Sun. We felt very looked after. We booked the thermal suite, which was just brilliant, sitting in a hot tub, in the dark on 2nd Feb outside overlooking the bay, just brilliant. I really like that it's private use. We were so relaxed after the treatments we decided to book room service. This arrived very soon after we ordered and was very good. The night porter was also friendly and helpful when my husband went down to order from the bar. All in all, it was a wonderful relaxing experience, and I would definitely visit again.

We booked one of the double standard rooms for a weekend visit to the town. The welcome was warm and very friendly. Parking is not an issue as some have alluded to. Drop your bags at the door and park for free behind the cathedral literally 2 minutes walk away. The room was very well appointed and a great comfy bed. Given the price we paid for a room only basis, I think this hotel represents great value for money. Yes, you can save £20 a night by staying elsewhere at a lower class hotel but you will be loosing so much in the quality Oban Bay Hotel gives you. We made the mistake of not pre-booming the spa and treatments before our visit, they were fully booked. Albeit the spa was not part of our visit, we did bring some shorts on the off chance we’d use it. Breakfast was our only slight disappointment I’d say. We had breakfast on the first morning. I ordered the full Scottish, which whilst it was tasty, it wasn’t worth remotely the £18 charged. My wife ordered fruit and yoghurt which never arrived….reception did rectify this charge when we checked out. Personally I’d (as we did on the second morning) wall 5 mins into town and get breakfast at one of the many cafes for around 1/3 of the price of the hotel. All in all, a great hotel in a nice and quiet position with fantastic views and very good rooms. We would and will stay again. Tips: pre-book the spa if you want to use it. Try for a top floor room (I think we had a herd of elephants above us) and try breakfast in town.
