What an enjoyable experience we had at No 26 Hotel Oban. A welcome drink on arrival was lovely as I was using a fabulous gift voucher. The lounge and bar area were so comfy and relaxing with gorgeous sea views. Our room was delightful , very stylish with access to the large patio which we enjoyed sitting out on, in the April sunshine. Breakfast was relaxing , very tasty and all made to order. Thank-you again to Carrie for being so attentive and welcoming nothing was too much trouble. Very much appreciated. Will visit again for sure

Well what can we say! The team at No.26 have created something so special. We loved everything about this warm, boutique hotel. It has all the flare of some of the best hotels we’ve been in, but the warmth and relaxed atmosphere you need to feel at home. Every little thing has been thought of to make your stay more memorable. We loved the complimentary champagne on arrival, the warm welcome, the beautiful woodland walk at the back of our room, the warm pre-breakfast pastries and fresh juice, the views, the sumptuous decor, and breakfast! It was really delicious. The breakfast team were friendly, worked quietly in a vibrant, well appointed open setting and the food was so fresh! The thing is, we actually had booked at a local hotel which turned out not to be suitable; so when we called Carrie (so kind and informative) it was on the off chance they had one room left. Thankfully for us they did! We had a great sleep, and loved the toiletries and little scottish biscuits and teas and coffee in the room. We only wish we could have stayed longer - we WILL be back. Such kind people, some great things to do in the area, and a little treasure of a place to relax and unwind. Thank you :) P.S They are also doggie friendly. The rooms are immaculate and although they allow two well behaved pets, evening has been done to maintain high standards but also give our canine friends their enjoyment too. We loved the tartan doggie beds, bowls and our doggies loved the doggie breakfasts. We ensured out of respect for the surroundings that our pouches stayed in the car at certain times, but tbh they are welcome in lounge area and rooms when you’re out. You can even have breakfast with them looking out over Oban bay with them, just not in the beautiful dinning room. Sad to be going! Top tip! Arrive sharp as parking is first come first serve. Although lots of off street parking too at a small cost. Book for dinner at their sister hotel (they don’t take doggies) No. 17 just a few doors down. No.26 doesn’t currently do evening meals; so No. 17 was perfect. What a meal we had too!

No 26 by the sea was very good and Prosecco on arrival! The room was so comfortable with tea and coffee making facilities, hair dryer, iron and magnifying mirror all hanging up in wee bags - very novel! The staff, especially Rachel, were so attentive. Will definitely be back.

Just back from a fantastic couple of days in Woodland Cottage self catering apartment at No26. Lovely layout, everything you need for an overnight stay with a bit more room, and a mini kitchen. Fantastic outside seating area gives even more space. Everything was great and as you'd expect from the fantastic team at No26, the service was excellent as usual.

If you like small and perfectly formed you'll love this place. An oasis of tranquillity. View from the lounge stunning, see pic below. A lovely touch pre breakfast they deliver orange juice and warm croissant to your room. Breakfast is pe order I love this. I hate food waste by ordering what you'll eat must reduce waste thus helping the planet and increase hotel profits, win win. The choice is brilliant over two breafasts I tried the fruit plate, brilliant, the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, marvellous, the smashed 🥑 and poached eggs, superb and the full English, very good. One of the best breakfasts I've had in a hotel knocks the socks off that buffet nonsense. Staff very friendly and professional, top marks. Scenery nearby spectacular see photos below. A few minor niggles, room too hot didn't manage to regulate this, car park very tight, plenty of pay parking across the road and last, and a bit sensitive, the toilet flush didn't quite manage to destroy my battleship, if you take my meaning. Reminded me of a Billy Connolly skit. So a massive thank you to the staff for a wonderful time.

Lovely boutique hotel. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable; the location is fantastic - it’s an easy walk into Oban or to the beach in the opposite direction; the communal area is very relaxing; and the breakfast is delicious - we think that preordering is a great idea as it means less waste.

Would recommend No 26 By The Sea to anyone visiting Oban. The staff can’t do enough to make your stay special. From the glass of fizz on arrival, recommendations on restaurants, pubs and walks. The breakfast is 5 star made with fresh ingredients by a wonderful chef. We stayed in room No 2 which was a treat. Front room with views of the sea. The honesty bar is fully stocked in the lounge and is beautifully decorated and a comfortable place to enjoy a before or after drink, or just enjoy views of the sea. You can’t go wrong with No. 26 By The Sea, We will definitely be back.

Can only endorse all the 5* ratings. Hospitality as it should be. Room very well equipped & decorated. Breakfast was excellent. Don’t normally drink fizz till the sun is over the yardarm but managed to cope this time. Excellent staff team supporting the operation.
