What a fabulous week we had with the Aboukir Hotel being our base for the week 8th to 15th september. We got upgraded too room 5 and what a room was massive, spotless, larg bathroom, great powerful shower, plenty towels changed as often as you required. The view from our room was brilliant. The restaurant was lovely and what a great lunch and also dinner menu, great choices and fresh made and great portions. The staff in the hotel are brilliant,Nadia always greets you with a smile and Happy the cleaner is lovely cheerful and very smiley, the bar staff and waiters/waitresses are a credit to this hotel. Bar is well stocked for a small hotel.Give it a go if you get too Carnoustie.

Had a really lovely afternoon. Staff were amazing and so friendly . We had one particular waiter called Mark who was just lovely. Helped us pick drinks and kept coming out to check we were ok. Just a young lad but was EXELLENT and friendly and we had a lovely laugh with him. Just felt he deserved the feedback 👌🏼

We all enjoyed our food and initially everything seemed okay with people wearing masks however as the restaurant and bar area became busier we were shocked at how many people were wandering around with no masks on. Also we then noticed that the staff were also not wearing masks. If they are excempt the least they should wear are shields especially for staff bringing food to your table. Of all restaurants I have visited throughout this pandemic I found this restaurant to be the worst for adherence. Is a shame as the food was very good but we will not be returning due to the poor adherence of the pandemic rules.

Recently visited the Aboukir restaurant for a meal and was not disappointed. We got the tandoori chicken and the sweet chilli chicken, all meals were amazing and unfaultable. Lots of food and great service with a reasonable price. We got the 2 meals for 1 which made it even better. Will definitely be back!
