Acceptable as a last resort. Advertised as a lodge, more like a hostel. No common areas to relax in and no breakfast option. Only good thing going for this lodge is the friendliness of staff. I had to drive round the area a few times as there isn’t really any signage on the property other than a number plate. The outside has recently been painted but the windows are in a dire need of cleaning. Some of their rules are a bit unconventional where they state that any stains on bedding and floors are chargeable. Accidents happen! The price is a bit steep for what is available. The lodge is basically a converted townhouse and lacks the amenities that travellers requires. I was Very conscious of the smart cameras they have in the hallways. Feels like you are being watched all the time. The room itself was acceptable, clean and tidy. However very cheaply done. Linen is old and needs renewed with better quality. Same with mattresses. This could be a lovely boutique hotel if the owners invested a substantial amount of money in it. Otherwise they should re brand as a hostel and lower their prices. Shared bathrooms in this day and age is a definite no no! Come you can do much better!
