Stayed for 4 nights on business - hotel and that part of town - was really quiet. Spotlessly clean everywhere. In C-19 lock-down hotel only open to business/work users and you have to ask for your room to be serviced. I did - and it was really well done. Friendly staff - very helpful. Breakfast is still served at the table in the dining room but evening meals are limited and in YOUR room. However as an alternative, there are many apps to order food to be delivered and the hotel has that all sorted out with a special table for couriers to leave it on. A central location and decent size rooms (but they are getting a little tired now) make this a useful base if you're doing business in Belfast. I guess for leisure too! Over all, every staff member SO helpful and pleasant - thanks to you all!…
I stayed at Premier Alfred Street for two nights this week. Before making my booking I rang reception to check if my booking could be taken during Covid19. The receptionist I spoke to was lovely and said yes that I could and once I had made my booking to call back to her and she would write next to my booking the reasons for my stay so that I wouldn't be questioned when checking in. Upon arrival around 4pm on Tuesday this week however I was booked in by a different receptionist, middle aged, blonde with an englafied accent who was rude, over familiar and proceeded to ask many questions about my stay with an attitude and an implied tone that I was lying for the reasons I was staying. I work in Hospitality and if any staff member spoke to our customers in the manner she did with me they would be instantly disciplined. Reception is so important to any business as it's the first person of contact and the first impression of the hotel. My suggestion is that management should perhaps talk to this particular receptionist about manners and correct etiquette when welcoming a paying guest. And that the first thing they say to a guest irrelevant of Covid19 should not be "Why are you staying here?" Perhaps maybe start with Hello and Welcome. Needless to say what came after. Very sad as the room and hotel were great. As a result of the second receptionist I'd be reluctant to book here again. Thomas Killian…
Having stayed in premiere inn’s before I expected basic, however the room smelled funky, the enamel bath was badly chipped as was the face of the desk area -it just wasn’t good! We decided upon returning to the room a few hours after check in to checkout and book another hotel - we felt staying would put a downer on our night away
Don't be put off when you arrive. The entrance to the hotel is a bit underwhelming. Basically just a doorway with the Premier Inn above it. That is the only negative thing about the hotel. Absolutely everything else is brilliant. The rooms are large, clean and have everything you need to hand. I didn't need to iron anything but if you do a board and an iron are available from reception. The location is excellent. Turn right out of the hotel and take any of the streets on the right to take you up to the bus/train station, bars, restaurants and city centre. At night it is just far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the centre to be quiet enough to get a good nights sleep. The beds are big and comfy with loads of room to walk round without fracturing your toes on the legs of the bed.The temperature controls are really easy to use and work well. We went in October so we didn't trouble to cooling system but the heating worked well without making things that hot it effects your ability to breath or sleep properly. The breakfast is great. Due to Covid restrictions the buffet breakfast wasn't in operation but you can still have as much or as little as you want. Speak to the person taking your order and everything from and including cereals, fruit, croissants, yoghurt, full english and everything in between is with you inside 10 minutes. Above everything else though are the staff. Friendly, professional and polite and nothing is too much trouble. The hotel is brilliant. The staff are out of this world.…
Just stayed checked out on Friday and I am definitely coming back again, the staff are brilliant, they couldn't be more helpful, I never got the chance to learn anyones name but Great service all round, its understandable but a shame the restaurant is closed in the evenings but at least breakfast is still available, looking forward to coming back in the new year
