A wonderful luxurious hotel for the young and the old. Just spent the last 5 days there and had a fantastic Christmas again. It oozes elegance and sophistication but with a lightness of touch and an air of fun. The staff worked tirelessly to make sure everyone had a wonderful experience and special thanks go to Sam, Paul, Michael and Nikki who went the extra mile as did the rest of the staff. We cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. We have been going there for many years and at different times of the year and its standards never drop. Stayed on the Christmas Festive Package. Such an excellent package which stated of on Christmas eve with afternoon tea in the beautifully decorated Vespers Restaurant. The evening meal in Vespers was excellent followed by cheese board and port in the lounge. Christmas buffet lunch was such a magnificent affair with such an array of choices for each course. This was followed by a festive supper in the lounge. A very enjoyable non-stop eating package!! The staff were so polite and attentive and everything was so well organised even down to Santa's footprints on the hotel entrance step on Christmas morning. Room was clean and bright with Christmas presents in the room. The decorations gave a festive atmosphere and the open fire in the sitting area was continually stoked . Would highly recommend the hotel for the attention to detail, the attentive staff, the food and the atmosphere.…

We stayed in the hotel to celebrate our anniversary, in the Belfry suite. The view from the room was excellent, the room was beautiful, had a beautiful meal in Vespers restaurant in the evening and the hotel delivered a little surprise treat to the room once we had checked in - a lovely treat! Service at breakfast was less smooth, we had a slight glitch with the cooked breakfast arriving at the same time as cereal, but was soon rectified. Special mention to Paul in the restaurant, who I recalled from a hotel he previously worked in - great service is noted and remembered! I would also suggest check out is 12pm for guests to enjoy the facilities more, I do appreciate, however, that there are extra cleaning requirements currently undertaken by the hotel due to the pandemic. Would love to stay here again soon. …
