Stayed here for 2 nights with the dog as it was the anniversary of my mothers death and wanted to be close to my mothers roots and she'd stayed at the chainbridge in previous years. Lovely place a 20 minute walk from Llangollen along the canal. First night we ate out with the

The hotel itself is a little outside of Llangollen, but it’s an interesting walk along the canal into town (if it’s not raining). We stayed in the Chainbridge Suite which had a magnificent view over the river, rapids and the Chainbridge itself, and several times a day the

Stayed for a night here with the wife and little man as my cousin had her wedding party here. We had a great time, the rooms were nice (had 2 to cater for us and the little man.) Beds were very comfy, I got booted out of the main bed as my son wanted in with his mum, so I took

Many thanks for your terrific review - we are delighted that you and your family enjoyed your stay with us as you celebrated your cousin's wedding. The internet and mobile signal is terrible - our internet capacity & speeds are in the lowest 15% in Wales, which is shocking. We are trying to do more about this, but it is out of our hands. We want to use boosters etc throughout the hotel, but as we receive such limited bandwidth there is not enough to boost! That aside, I am delighted that you enjoyed all other aspects of the hotel and that you were so pleased with the staff throughout your stay. Kind regards Seamus

This is kind of unfriendly I guess but also true. I am sure this hotel as a devoted following and they are right too. Big rooms overlooking the river. True! Also not unfriendly. But objectively you can tell guests no internet in rooms and a bit in the lobby, because it is

I'm a bit perplexed by your review, but thanks all the same for posting it. Our internet is shocking - I am the first to say this!! It's something I have discussed with local politicians, councillors, BT etc etc - we are in the lowest 15% in Wales for internet capacity and speed. This is sadly and infuriatingly beyond our control! As such, we can only offer it in the public areas, so guests are forced to converse and stare out of the window at our amazing surroundings. I'm sorry that's how you felt about the decor - we are trying to get the mix right between offering modern comforts, and respecting the history of this 200 year old hotel. Kind regards Seamus

Hi, From what I can gather they have a disabled car space near their entrance gate, you may have to notify them to keep it clear as it is close to where they unload supplies so may need to be cordoned off prior to arrival and I think with warning they have ramps that can be laid to access the hotel but from memory it was fairly flat anyway. They have canal facing rooms at ground level also but clarify things with hotel before booking.

I'm sure they would cater for your needs..there are rooms on the ground floor....give them a ring... definitely worth a stay at the hotel....
