Imagine a hotel where roaring log-burning open fireplaces hint at its roots dating from the 1300's. Picture a Great Hall Restaurant with a vaulted ceiling and original wood panelling built in the seventeenth century. Visit a hotel that has been coloured by the characters of history. At The Lygon Arms, with its 86 rooms you can stay in the suite that King Charles I once stayed in the night before the Battles of Worcester in 1651. See the carvings of John Travis' name on the arch of the front door, etched into the hotel's history in 1620. An historic hotel in the heart of Broadway with a typically Cotswolds history. Dine in Bar & Grill or the Wine Bar, or enjoy a coffee or a Cotswold Gin and Tonic in one of our many lounges. A spa , swimming pool and The Lygon Gardens await you but most importantly the team look forward to welcoming you. .

The Lygon Arms is an excellent base to explore the Cotswolds but we went for a romantic stay to use a voucher for a meal that we had. The room we had was nice with a large comfortable bed but unfortunately an air conditioning compressor somewhere in that part of the hotel kept

Dear AnnetteH505 Thank you very much for your complimentary review and especially pleased regarding your comments about dinner, specifically your lamb and your sticky toffee pudding. As you say we did have an issue with an air conditioning unit on the roof that day, so please accept my apologies. From time to time things do breakdown and Is beyond our control, but I’m pleased the issue was dealt with swiftly by my Duty Manager Thank you again, and we very much look forward to welcoming you again. Kind Regards Jason Adams GENERAL MANAGER

The Lygon was by far the best hotel we stayed in in our 2 weeks in the UK! The service, the room, the food, the staff...all wonderful. Dinner was fabulous- the cheese soufflé, lamb chops (or cutlets as they are called on the menu) and sticky toffee pudding are not to be

Beautiful hotel with wonderful staff and food however a recent overnight stay cost £500 and for this amount we were disappointed with cobwebs in the bedroom (which was tiny), dirty toilet in bathroom and no milk in room for coffee etc. Perhaps minor things but for the rates

Dear Rebecca D First of all thank you for your review and delighted you love the hotel, the team and the food, that’s really good to hear I am of course dissapointed to hear that our communication was not up to scratch on this occasion and is something I will discuss with central reservations and my own team. Please accept my apologies for this, it is certainly not normal as you will see from the 5 star reviews below yours In regards to the tiny cobweb, yes that should have been spotted by the housekeeping team along with the dirty toilet something I find most odd and will be taking up with my Head Housekeeper. In regards to milk there is a tea and coffee tray with all the amenities along with milk in the cupboard or in the fridge, I’m sure this would not have been missed by the team. And of course if you didn’t have any we could have brought it straight to the room if you had let us know whilst you were staying with us. I thank you for your feedback and look to improve in the areas you mention I do hope knowing you enjoyed the hotel, team and food that you will return very soon Kind regards Jason Adams GENERAL MANAGER

Taking shelter from the cold we chose one of the many spaces/bars/lounges to satisfy our craving for scones. We were not disappointed, baked to order, plentiful clotted cream and the most delicious home made jam. We were served by very friendly staff. The building itself is

When I park my car , it was dark. 10 minutes after entering the hotel , someone asked me if I have registered my car , lucky I was if you don’t know you get a fine of £100 . On the night I am as there i didn’t see any signage to report to the reception to register your car . I hope this will help
