Left for Windsor Saturday morning when I went online for a postcode I found the room I booked was now over £40 cheaper 😭 Upor arrival we found that there were fans on full blast in our rooms, which felt like a furnace. Clean Rooms! No hot water in shower in the morning. No vending machine available so had to look for a nearby Supermarket for cold drinks. I also had to sit outside due to the heat in the rooms. Reported the issue only to be told "Sorry, it's because we don't have Air conditioning"
Noise, noise, noise! Great location and with the discount on parking to £12 per 24 hours, we would probably stay here again. However, our third floor room (one floor down from reception) was by a busy road so even with the windows closed the traffic noise disturbed us all night. The room was clean and bed comfortable. Reception staff pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was back to buffet which worked OK except the area where tea/coffee, juices, toast and cereals were available was a bit of a bottle neck. We would stay here again for the location but would want a high floor room away from the road and building site opposite.
This hotel is a very central, clean and great value hotel. The only downside was no air con (Although two fans were provided) the room was very warm. Apart from this the room was clean and staff were very friendly and accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was plentiful and areas were cleaned regularly. We would definitely stay again. Parking was easy to find and very close.
We booked an early check in , room was ready ,the manager checked us in, told us everything we needed to know during our visit. Room was clean and spacious, just perfect for what we needed. We had breakfast and it was perfect ,the staff could not do enough for you ,thank you . I cant emphasise enough how well positioned this hotel is for visiting Windsor castle it is just a few minutes away . Shops are literally on the doorstep, plenty of restaurants in walking distance. So nice to have a few cold drinks after a long hot day sightseeing, and just step into your room to rest up , perfect !! thank you Travelodge .
We recently stayed in a ‘super room’ on the 6th floor. The hotel has a very central location and you can walk everywhere. As many others have pointed out the rooms are incredibly warm and windows only open slightly. The room was very modern and clean and the bathroom was small but also very modern and clean. There was a lavazza coffee machine with 4 capsules plus a kettle with tea bags etc. The room had a hairdryer but there was no fridge. We had breakfast which was £8.75 per person. Due to COVID, instead of a buffet you order via the waitress who brings it to your table. All very good for the price with friendly staff. The only thing I was surprised about was a family came in just after us and ordered apple juice for the two small children but the server said they had run out. It was 9.55am and breakfast closed at 11. If driving, park in the Windsor Yards car park and the hotel will stamp your ticket so you pay £12 for 24 hrs.…
