We booked this hotel an hour before we arrived after an awful experience with The LEGO hotel just up the road. We were tired and really worn out after an early start and whole day in the park. The staff were fantastic, friendly, welcoming and professional. Our room needed the sofa bed making up which was no problem as we did give them next to no time to prepare the room for us. The lovely staff member came to make the sofa bed and he was very lovely and professional, ensuring we had everything we needed. The fans being on when we entered the room was very welcomed. Most importantly this room and the hotel its self was clean and quiet. We had a very comfortable nights sleep, the room a good size for 2 adults and a 6 year old. The breakfast was also very lovely with a great selection. We would without a doubt stay here again.…
We arrived after a 9 hour drive from Aberdeen, no parking available on site and there is only one disabled space, which was taken up by some one with no badge displayed. So we parked on the road between the hotel and Police station, it has double yellow but they are not clear. So its a gamble. Anyway, the welcome was fantastic, thanks for that. The room, 307, nice and clean, nice and cool, decent air con, very small TV and not in HD. Only one bath towel, called reception and they were there within 4 minutes. The following morning we parked on the concourse, look at the pictures, we parked to the right, where the orange cone is. No mention of a charge, if you park in the hotel car park,(Under the hotel) its limited spaces and £13 per night. For me this is horrendous, I was up until 2019 an Espire elite, Thats the top tear, which means I have spent £XXXX in one calendar year, or over 55 nights. Now, we got a deal for this three night stay, £439, yes thats a deal, remember this is just bed and breakfast, while we were there they were advertising £299 per night, again, see picture. . So our three nights should of been £897. plus parking, total £936 for a bed and breakfast. Sorry IHG, your about to loose a customer. Anyway, in for breakfast, a very strange bizarre queuing system due to COVID, but they did not clean the tables in-between use. Returns to the hotel after a trip to the castle, and again, very clean room, and just the one towel. Day of departure, and my wife was putting stuff in the car, and was hounded by reception star as we had not paid for parking. Wife came to me, I went to reception. I argued I was not told I had to pay for the concourse parking, and I was certainly not in their car park, and to charge a customer £13 per night when you potentially charge £299 for a basic bed and breakfast was in my opinion daylight robbery. Manager was called, same argument, then she decided as a good will gesture I would not be charged, for not parking in the car park, and I was the first to complain and she would take on board by comments. Now, before you all think Im just a moaner, remember this, up until this point, I have never paid more than £90 per night for a holiday in express, apart from a Airport stay, £140, one night accommodation and 8 nights parking for a stay and park. The bad out weights the good on this stay. I will close in saying once again, the staff were fantastic, the prices were totally unacceptable.…
THE STAFF WAS VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL .WE HAD A VERY PLEASANT STAY. EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT. Housekeeping staff did a good job of keeling the rooms clean and hygenic. Hope to see you all again thank you .
I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express for one night in July, together with my husband and our son. Pros: - Staff were incredibly friendly. Not just polite but also genuinely nice. They made us feel welcome from the minute we checked in until we left. - The room was nice enough, nothing special but it had everything we needed. - The location is great! It's a 10 minute walk to the high street, 15 minutes to the castle and only 5 minites to tge nearest restaurants. - Breakfast included! Tye breakfast is nothing special but if you're happy with a bowl of cereal or a bacon bap it's really all you need. Cons: - This is not the hotel's fault at all but the family that stayed in the room above ours was extremely loud. The kids were running around for hours and it sounded like a herd of rhinos was having a break dance contest. It's jist the way the hotel is built I guess but it wasn't very pleasant. Then again you can't expect them to tie their kids down but next time I'd probably ask for a room on the top floor. - Breakfast staff were wearing their masks underneath their noses and chins which wasn't great as you had to get quite close to let them know what you wanted. - Parking was a bit on the expensive side. - The bathroom was clean but the shower could have done with an update. I wasn't sure whether to give 3 or 4 stars but we had a good time, the staff were very incredibly welcoming and the pros definitely outweigh the cons. …
Best service I have received in a long time - Tanita (sorry if spelling wrong!) has a lovely manner with guests and couldn’t have been more helpful. Recommended if staying in Windsor - bar open until 2am a bonus!
