Rooms are unique. The building is 1000 years old and has always been an Inn . Today a hotel and for the age of the bldg incredibly well kept. If you’re looking for up to date character , super location, designated private parking( important) good food, did I say perfect location! The changing of the guard happens right in front of the hotel... The staff are top notch. Five star service and effort. The answer is ‘yes’ to your requests and needs. Rooms are quiet/ thick walls in most rooms. We were upgraded to a suite due to a shower door issue and that was great. We stayed for 14 days so a suite worked out really well. Did I say perfect location! Only a 5 min walk to The Long Walk, food, Windsor Castle, Eaton, train station, shopping, Magna Carta Memorial (5mindrive) Driving into London is easy (relative) from this location and the return isn’t too bad. But we’re from Houston, so spending an hour getting somewhere is the norm. London central Kensington 1.5 hours one way. The Service made the stay pleasant. Super helpful staff. Well managed.

First time at the hotel, great location, very clean in all parts of the hotel and our room and warm welcome . The staff at all levels we came into contact with were very friendly , helpful , polite and gave excellent service at all times during our stay. I had read poor comments about breakfast which gave us some concerns, we found it good each time at 8.00 and 9.00 with plenty of choices. However, we were very disappointed with our room a Superior Double Room which was big , clean and with a comfortable bed , but it was only suitable for a single business person, very limited storage , the half of the wardrobe was taken up with a safe , the fridge , coffee and tea making and hair dryer, which left two very small drawers and space for 8 hangers , not suitable for a couple or family staying more than one night or a week and the bathroom was very small , limited space and a very small sink. It was very annoying as there was plenty space in the room for a set of drawers. Also the room was cold , with no form of heating only air conditioning , not helped by a fire exit door just outside of room , which created a draught and the corridors were cold leading to the room.

The hotel looks great on their website - a grand Georgian building opposite the castle. What they don't tell you though is that all of the classic rooms are located in a rundown 60/70s building at the back. The facade is falling apart and the ceiling is uncomfortably low. The corridor is uninspiring and borderline depressing. The room itself is fine - the bed is excellent, the decor is ok but it certainly isn't luxurious. Considering the price which is nearly £200 a night, we were expecting slightly more than a standard business hotel like room and a view of a blank wall. Service was professional and all the staff were very helpful. We will probably stay there again if we need to be in Windsor but it certainly isn't a hotel for a treat.

We’ve stayed at this hotel before and enjoyed our stay. However this time we were given room 111 which was tiny, more suited for a single person. The toilet and sink were tiny like in a shoe cupboard and it was impossible to wash your face in the sink without the water going all over the floor.
