Fantastic overnight stay in Windsor thanks to this lovely hotel. Perfectly situated for the local sights and amenities, and of course, Windsor Castle. What made this stay really special was the incredibly helpful and polite staff in the hotel. Everyone from reception, concierge, restaurant and bar staff as well as domestics were polite and kind, as well as efficient. Given the incredible challenges of the past year and a half, it was quite humbling to see staff who clearly enjoy their work, and who perform so well as a team. Rooms are modern and have all facilities you will need. Reception and bar area welcoming and comfortable. Breakfast included continental and cooked options with service buffet style. Huge range of choice of fresh produce and service was faultless. Would definitely stay again.

Having taken the trouble to book our proposed three night stay at least 4 months in advance, and then recently having requested (and had confirmed) our parking requirements, it was very disappointing to have our booking cancelled unilaterally, with two weeks to go. We of course recognise the challenges facing the hospitality industry in these difficult times. Our main objection is that there was absolutely no explanation or justification, just notification of cancellation. The cynic might think that a more profitable opportunity had arisen. It is very unlikely indeed that we will use the MacDonald Hotel group for any of our stays or trips in the future, as this is not the level of customer service that we expect.

This hotel has a great location being directly opposite Windsor Castle. The lobby and bar area and clean and tidy. The rooms are very modern and the bed comfortable. What really made this for us was the staff. All were very, very helpful, friendly and simply could not do enough for you. Everything was covered. If this is how all MacDonald hotels are run then they are now at the top of my list.
