We booked for one night to go to legoland, when we arrived the 2 reception staff were arguing over who was booking us in the gilt was very polite unlike the man who was rude to us and the other member of staff, we then came down to eat in the restaurant big mistake first they tried to overcharge us as they couldn’t work the till the male member of staff again was extremely rude to the female member of staff and when she said she was going to ring the manager to help he told her “no he will get mad” then we was informed that they was the only 2 staff so they was manning reception the bar and cooking!!!!!!!!!! After waiting nearly an hour for food it came out and we’ll the chicken tikka masala had no meat in it it was all veg, the kids fish was like a rock we didn’t wait for the rest we complained and asked for a refund to be informed that they can’t authorise refunds and we would have to wait till the morning for the manager!!! And to top of an already bad night the rooms were dusty dirty and not equipped for the amount of people in them

** ABSOLUTELY AWFUL - AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!!!! ** The hotel is right opposite a train station with trains passing late into the night. The room itself was absolutely BOILING with no air conditioning and with the noise from the trains meaning we couldn’t open the window. The room has no blackout blinds, only a thin curtain and it couldn’t be any brighter in there! With young children it was impossible to get them to sleep!!! In the morning the staff at breakfast were extremely rude and were even mocking a young mother when she reported to them that the toaster was on fire, this was after they had told her to put a croissant in the toaster! There were NO highchairs in a “family friendly” hotel, the only ONE they had was broken!! All in all, do not bring your family to this hotel!

Room Tip: Avoid at all costs, especially if you have children. All rooms apparently face the train station...

Unlike previous stays, this stay was spoiled by a very much needed replacement mattress and cold breakfasts served by waiters following social distancing guidelines. Also, despite us having to book time slots for our breakfast to avoid overcrowding in the cafe. This went totally to pot the second day when all the tables were occupied. Also don't believe the public car parking arrangements as shown on Travelodge's website. The two nearest multi storey car parks charge up to 9pm but it is then free until 9am every day and then its free on Sundays.

Had a great few days in Maidenhead, this is a fab place to stay if you are visiting Legoland or London is a short 35 min train ride away with the train station a stones throw away. Staff friendly and professional. Would recommend for a short trip if looking somewhere clean and handy
