My boyfriend and I stayed here a few weekends ago - the setting is lovely, we had a great view of country fields from our window, and the room was clean and spacious, bed comfortable and bathroom was modern and cosy (heated towel rail!). We arrived late and the staff were really lovely, calling ahead to see if everything was ok and kindly facilitating late check in, taking the time to show us around what we needed to know. I then foolishly left an item behind and the staff have very kindly gone out of their way to promptly post it back to me, many many thanks for all your assistance!

I was surprised to discover on arrival that I had booked an Indian restaurant instead of a pub. Evening meal was average and breakfast is only served in the room. My shower was heavily scaled up and I had to clear a mass of hair from the waste to stop the tray overflowing, not something I appreciated after a long day at work.

Food is very good, not your standard UK Indian offering. Much more authentic than most. The restaurant was very cold the night we dined which made it not as welcoming as we would have liked. Will go back but probably on a warm day.

The staff were very friendly, it was clean and has lots of parking available. The food was good but the menu was a little limited. I had booked for two people (to ensure that I got a double bed) but there was only one very poor quality towel in the room (I did request a second but it didn't turn up). The bed frame was cheap and creaked whenever I moved. The shower head was mostly blocked with lime scale and I had to partially clean it so I could get enough water to come out to shower in. These comments sound very negative - it wasn't that bad and wouldn't take much effort to improve the experience.

We stayed here for two nights whilst visiting family nearby. Rooms and beds were spotless and have been recently refurbished. Sound proofing not brilliant. Would definitely use this hotel again as it is in a convenient location for us. Beautiful views of rolling fields from the two rooms we had.
