This recently refurbished boutique hotel is housed in a 400 year old listed building in the heart of Stratford upon Avon. Located opposite Shakespeare's school, among the ancient half-timbered buildings the town is famous for and only 2 minute's walk to the Royal Shakespeare Theatre. This is THE place for a pre-theatre supper - local pianists play at 5.30pm daily and the atmosphere is great. The 12 funky en-suite bedrooms vary in size, cost and view. Try for a room at the front of the building for the perfect view. Great food is served all day, through till 10pm in this buzzy neighbourhood bistro with Afternoon Tea a particular favorite. Champagne Happy Hour is every Friday at 5pm and the bar is packed with a great, upmarket local crowd. The staff make the place and nothing is too much trouble.

Stayed here for one night over New Years while we visited the theatre and brought in the new year. Lovely staff upon arriving. Told me everything I needed to know including parking, which is available at £8 an night at the NCP multi-storey down the road. Room was nice and

What an amazing hotel in the middle of town. Close to all attractions :). And hotel by itself was lovely. Room was very clean and bed so comfortable. Few small touches like coffee machine, water in fridge and port with glasses made it special. Staff was extremely nice and

We stayed here for one night at the start of the year, we booked this from a voucher which was given to us as a gift and we were very pleasantly surprised with the standard of the hotel. It is in a great location with just a few minutes walk to everywhere we wished to go. The

Sadly disappointing. Thai Veg curry was a thin green sauce with little evidence of any veg! & the “flatbread” was just toast!! My husband ordered mussels for main & only was told there were no mussels when we were eating our starters. When we got the bill we were charged for 3

We had a lovely stay in the hotel which was great in all aspects but made perfect by two fantastic staff members. I think we asked lots of questions and moved rooms, but all was met with smiles. Both their names escape me but they could not have taken more care of us. The lovely

I'd like to know about car parking too please.
As we are so fabulously central, unfortunately we do not have our own car park. We do, however, have great reduced rates with the local NCP car park on Rother Street. Come and see us first on arriving in Stratford-upon-Avon. You can then drop off any bags that you may have and we can direct you around to the car park. Our rate for hotel guests is just £4.50 per 24 hours.

Yes - there are hairdryers and hair straighteners in each room at the Church Street Townhouse. Our check in time is usually 3pm and check out by 11am, but, if the room is available, we may be able to arrange early checkin or late check out. Of course, you are always welcome to drop off bags early or leave them to collect them later. If you have specific times in mind, why not drop us an email us directly or ring on 01789 262222?
