Just back from majestic coach tour and have to say Jurys Inn is a great place to stay, room is spacious, clean and comfy beds, as it's in centre of Newcastle expect a bit of noise but shut window and it's fine, Staff all helpful, breakfast is good with plenty of choice as was the evening meal. Glen (evening kp/restaurant) is such a nice bloke who is so knowledgeable re where to go and explained to us about the metro and what stops we needed, he is an asset to the Jurys Inn. Overall a lovely stay and would not hesitate to stay again.

The room was good although we booked a twin and ended up with a double and small single bed. There was no room cleaning service and nothing mentioned about this when checking in or about rubbish collection etc. The main area had no lounge only a large reception area and a bar with no ambiance. The food in the resturant was very bland and certainly not 4 star quality. The biggest problem was at breakfast when the eggs were served half cooked by the staff who obviously could not care less. This was a Shearings coach holiday but not many of the other guests appeared to use the resturant.

Dear MikePexRN, Thank you for taking the time to review your stay, we are glad to hear that you found the room to be good. I am very sorry to hear that you found the breakfast not to be to your preferences, especially the eggs which were half cooked. At the moment, for guests staying more than one night, we do not offer a standard stayover housekeeping service. Upon request we are happy to provide additional linen, towels & toiletries which will be delivered to your door the following morning. This approach supports the Laundry Association guidelines and recommendations, which in turn helps manage supply logistics & shortages. We hope that we can welcome you back to Jurys Inn and Leonardo Hotels in the near future. Kind Regards Jurgen Customer Experience Team

Worst hotel I've had the displeasure of staying in. Booked a 4 night stay stayed for 1. The room was filthy and this was meant to be a superior room also meant to have a full covid deep clean. Booked bed and breakfast only to be told kitchen is closed and breakfast would be a bag of food left outside from 6am next morning items in bag wasn't to bad if the we had a fridge to put fresh juice, fresh fruit and yogurt so if you not up at 6 and it's a hot day be prepared to eat food that's on the turn. The towels were paper thin with holes in and stained the black splodge seen in the photo is sticky and I presume is chewing gum. I had a shower and water was going down plug hole I pulled at lump of hair which is also in photo. Carpet ripped bed falling apart wall all badly marked loads of hair in drawer where hair dryer was. The front desk manager was very nice and handle our complaints really well but did say it's the best superior room in the hotel which over looked a multi storey car park and train lines and a very busy road, but the hotel has room that overlooked a nice courtyard. I can't believe that this company think its acceptable to change just under £100 a night for a room that isn't fit for purpose shame on them

Good Afternoon sally d, Thank you very much for taking the time to review your recent stay and letting us know if the issues you experienced during your stay. Guest satisfaction is our top priority and I wish to apologise sincerely for our shortcomings on the occasion of your recent stay. I am really sorry to hear that you found the room and bathroom not to be of our normal cleanliness standards. Unfortunately external factors outside of our control have made it difficult for us to deliver our usual standard of product and service. As you have no doubt become aware, the impact of the pandemic, the shortage of available labour, and faced with supply chain issues continues to present significant challenges for the hospitality industry. As a result of these factors, in this instance, we fell short of our usual cleanliness standards and for this I sincerely apologise. I very much hope you'll be able to return to a Leonardo or Jurys Inn hotel soon and we'll be able to start to improve your journey as a customer. Kind Regards Melisa Customer Experience Team

Nicely located with a fifteen minute walk across the river to bars and restaurants. Very dispappointed with the room we were given at the back of the hotel on the first floor, with ground floor office staff looking in from opposite. This is the first hotel ever where we have needed to close the curtains during the day and switch the lights on to protect our privacy! There was a water/other wet spillage on the carpet upon arrival at our room. There was no tv control. At 5 in the morning, 2 trucks arrived to deliver goods below our window, with banging and chatter. Before 6 a.m., the refuse truck arrived to empty the bins! Before 8 a.m., a noisy weed/grass trimmer didn't hear shouts from upset guests in the hotel. Breakfast was left outside our bedroom door. consisting of yoghurt with nuts, a tub of fruit pieces, a plastic bottle of juice and a pastry. Staying here was an experience, but next time we'll stay somewhere else

Good Afternoon mikeapeter, Thank you for your recent stay with us and for taking the time to leave a review, I am pleased to read that you found our hotel’s location close to the river, bars, restaurants and many more attractions to be nice and convenient. Meanwhile, I am really sorry to hear that you were unhappy with the room allocated to you. When you return please contact the hotel in advance to request a room of your liking and we will do our best to accommodate. In regards to the breakfast, unfortunately we are unable to provide a restaurant breakfast service due to the impact of the pandemic on staffing, faced with supply chain issues which continues to present challenges for the hospitality industry. We understand this is disappointing for some of our guests but this is a temporary measure and we will be operating a full breakfast service by the middle of this month! We singerly apologise for the noise early in the morning and we really hope that we can welcome you back to Jurys Inn and Leonardo Hotels in the near future. Kind Regards Melisa Customer Experience Team

Just back from majestic coach holiday, hotel located in a great walking distance of everything, our room was good with a comfy bed and clean crisp white linen, due to covid there isn't any house keeping but reception staff were friendly and helpful, restaurant staff friendly but it did get chatioc at times with the number of coaches turning up at same time, food was decent, breakfast was served to you if you wanted hot food, bags where provided of yogurt and fruit and juice which I thought was very wasteful because I saw many discarded yogurt and fruit left in the bags, bar staff were friendly but shut early-ish,card payment only!!! overall we had a great time and loved Newcastle and what it had to offer, definitely would return
