Reasonably priced with excellent staff. I had a room with a river view. The room was quite clean, basic but adequate; nothing fancy. I didn't give the hotel a 5*rating as the standard of the breakfast was very poor. Buffet food was tepid, the coffee was filthy and poor orange juice. Suggest Management looks into improving significantly the standard of breakfast. James on Reception was particularly helpful.

Hotel's Favourite
Just stayed on a Friday night and we were blown away about how good our stay has been. As we walked in blown away by the vibe, receptionists super friendly, modern decor, great staff dress code ,a real buzz about the whole hotel.Loved the mural and the colour scheme gives hotel a young fresh ambience.Checked in early hoping just to leave bags but they had a room ready so checked in straight away blown away by our room a corner room great size perfect amenities, bed huge, shower fantastic, views superb. Slept well after a late night that ended in the hotel bar.Huge shout out to resident DJ absolutely brilliant added to our stay loved the music both evening and at breakfast it made the energy in the hotel and was a definite bonus so much so we will definitely be returning regularly as we loved this touch. Breakfast was outstanding everything you wud need and great staff. The hotel is definitely a bonus to the quayside accommodation ,if u want a relaxed weekend with a great upbeat vibe in a great setting then the Innside Melia is definitely the place to be 2021. Well done to the management for a superb stay and excellent service even though it was busy they managed to pull it off.

Dear 565dawnk, I really enjoyed reading your review! We really have a unique product and the vibe is amazing from the lobby, into the bedrooms and of course into our F&B spaces - I am glad that you enjoyed it! Annie, our resident DJ, will be delighted when I share your feedback with her - she is amazing and we are so happy to have her here - its great that she also plays a set over breakfast at the weekends! Don't be a stranger! Thanks Calum

This was a little piece of heaven for us in Newcastle. After a lovely welcome at reception, the rooms did not disappoint. Lots of room, a massive cloud bed, refreshments, hairdryer, lovely toiletries, and a great bar and restaurant downstairs to go to. We walked along the river to find a food marketing on Sunday morning and the rest of the town is just a minute walk away. I would definitely come and stay here again. I've signed up to Melia rewards as I want to use this hotel chain again.

Perhaps we just stayed here on an off day, but in general we found this place rather disappointing. Firstly when pulling up to the barriers to park, the intercom doesn’t work, so you leave your car parked across the path to speak to reception. I would be leaving once parked and joining my wife at the hotel around 5pm. I think on the day of our visit there were some laundry issues as the room wasn’t ready to check in at 3pm, my wife was advised to grab.a drink at the bar and they’d give her a shout (no complimentary drink mins- YOU PAY). Our friends who stayed had to wait three hours and when they got to the room the bedding was dirty and unchanged- on threatening to walk out and get their money back they were upgraded. When I did finally arrive the room was very much like a Travelodge Hub, compact but well designed. Nothing fancy but just adequate. I made the fatal error of having a cup of tea when in the room- no biscuits provided- as there were only two tea bags and so had to make two cups in the morning from the one remaining tea bag. The towels which were provided were poor and the type you may use to dry a dog after a walk. When checking out we could hear the girl apologizing to another couple and refunding them for something. Overall a little bit chaotic and unorganized.

We managed to swap to this hotel after booking a 2 night break at the Station Hotel and being completely disappointed with the quality and cleanliness. This hotel was a completely different story the place is immaculate the rooms are very well setup and a bit quirky in a good way, the restaurant is clean and the food is outstanding. The staff are helpful and knowledgeable about the area and are always on hand to help with anything requested. I would highly recommend this hotel for a weekend away in Newcastle as its only a minutes walk from the city centre or the quayside
