I stayed here ahead of the Great North Run and was visiting Newcastle for the first time. The reception team were really friendly and helpful and the room itself was amazing. Lots of great little touches such as a good luck message for the run. The hotel is lovely and looks great, there is a nice courtyard for outside drinks as well as a great little bar. The restaurant looked really good too and I'd definitely dine there if/when I return. Location wise it's really good as it's nice and quiet but you're only a short walk from bars on the quayside. Big thanks to the manager Andy and his team for a great stay and will definitely be back in the future.

First time visitors to HDV Newcastle and well impressed. The top floor room was perfect with great views towards the bridges. Considering the recent impact of Covid on the hospitality industry the staff were very pleasant and accommodating. We were attending a festival in Newcastle so we didn't enjoy the Bistro until the next morning but breakfast was well received (Granola and fruit is recommended!) It's hard to believe that we could enjoy a G & T in the courtyard post midnight in very pleasant September temperatures. We look forward to future visits.

We recently got married at hotel Du Vin and we have never experience such a high level of organisation and customer service. Our wedding was cancelled 3 times due to COVID and the hotel and staff were unbelievably accommodating throughout the whole process. Our wedding was very complicated due to the amount of guests coming to stay and needing specific rooms but yet again the staff were fantastic. Our wedding day was perfect and this was down to the team at Hotel Du Vin. From accommodating all the guests needs to staff serving drinks late into the night and they always had a smile of their faces. A special mention to Emma who made everything run like clockwork and was so lovely throughout all the process. Andrew was also fantastic. This is a great wedding venue and you can rest assured that the whole team at Hotel Du Vin Newcastle will make sure your day is perfect. One of best all round customer services we have ever experienced. Thanks Emma, Andrew and the all hotel Du Vin staff
