What makes us a cut above the rest is the way we do things. We have designed the pentahotel Reading to be simple and pentastylish, to provide excellent value for money, create a pentafun and relaxed space with service that is welcoming and personal. All of this not only makes us the newest hotel in Reading, but also your neighbourhood lifestyle hotel. The perfect place to eat, drink and relax is the pentalounge, our „lifestyle lobby“ that multi-functions as a reception, bar, and cafe, perfect as a neighbourhood hub. And we have spacious air-conditioned rooms each feature a 38-inch flat-screen TV with Google Chromecast connection and free in-room movies. No matter what brings you to Reading, there is always time to have a look around. There are the medieval Abbey ruins, historic rivers and of course the majestic Thames Valley countryside to inspire you. If that doesn’t tickle your fancy you could also try out some of the local restaurants or pubs or the fabulous shopping malls.

We attended a wedding here then joined our family for morning breakfast ( wish we had gone elsewhere), upon arrival was shocked to find out it was £15 pp for a breakfast/Continental buffet, we went ahead and paid £30 as we wanted to be with family the morning after the venue. Well we were unsatisfied with the upkeep of the buffet, to be waiting around for AGES for hot food to come out along with many other guests who also looked very disappointed!! I then gave up and went to the Continental and AGAIN nothing no bread, no Croissants no spoons for the one yoghurt I had managed to get, the juices were empty and the milk in the Starbucks coffee machine had ran out so ended up with a black coffee !! I believe that charging guest for a service they never received is absolutely disgusting and would like to take this further as myself and partner lefty the restaurant feeling hungry and disappointed! Many thanks

When we arrived we received a warm and friendly welcome, Mary the receptionist explained where everything was in the hotel. Before going to our room we had a drink in the bar which clean, very tidy and well presented. We went to our room which was a penta play room which has a games console or arcade machine in we had a arcade machine. The room was very spacious as was the bathroom, the bed was very comfortably the whole room was clean. We will be returning and the next time will be taking freinds with us

Next door made so much noise for hours, I called reception who sent security up who did nothing about it. They were screaming and blasting music through the night. We had to change rooms into a freezing cold room at 2 am. Both times I rang reception, they did not once apologise for this. The hotel manager said he would resolve this but has not contacted for over a week now. The lift floor was covered in alcohol. We were inconvenienced for someone else making noise, the people making noise weren't told off or fined or kicked out. This is more of a party hotel where the staff don't care if you don't get your sleep.

Gloomy dark atmosphere. Staff under trained, not rude, just clueless. Had to ask for cutlery and missing food items from breakfast buffet. Door key cancelled on us twice during stay, had to haul back to reception to put right Major faff trying to check out. Bar bill charged twice to different cards. Not all sockets worked in room. Pillows very uncomfortable. BUT good central location and clean.

Sadly I have to say this hotel has gone down hill . The evening menu is shocking ! Burgers or chicken wings ... Rooms as they were but no fridges ... Such a pity as this was in par with novatel as best hotel in town Now , just a run of the mill place to stay with an expensive bar Koppenburg bottle £5.70 !
