Adam's is a guest house, not a hotel, and it is in keeping with this style of accommodation in UK. There is no reception area, no porter, no lift and no 24 hour service. It is more like staying in someone's home. The bargain price is a reflection of this

We were met in the hall and given our keys in a pleasant way. Breakfast service was also done with a smile. Leave your keys in the hall when leaving.

Adam's is easy to find on one of the main roads into Oxford. There is a bus stop just a few yards away with a frequent service to central Oxford which can also be reached by an easy 20 to 30 minute walk. There are shops and eateries around Adam's in the suburb of Summertown.

Decor was dark and old and the towels, although clean , had obviously seen a lot of service. The room was cold and one bed blocked the heat from the radiator reaching the rest of the room. Water in the shower was warm but water pressure low. The kettle had to be boiled on the floor due to the short lead and plug position. Everything seemed to be clean,

Breakfast was self service for cereals and drinks with cooked breakfast served at the table after an order was taken. Service was quick enough but quality of food matched the low price point of this establishment.

Parking on site is actually for only 2 cars so expect to be parked in a side street a short walk away. The problem was when arriving and having no residents' parking permit which resulted in a walk of several minutes from the closest legal parking space. Once checked in we moved the car. Adam's gives guests a parking voucher for the residents' parking area close to the guest house which lasts for 24 hours, so we could leave the car and explore Oxford after checking out.

Adam's Guest House served our purposes for a bed for the night and somewhere to leave the car. The experience matched what we expected for the low price paid. This is as inexpensive as it gets for Oxford accommodation.

Where to start. The whole place smells of cooking - not nice.
Nothing nice to say. I had to leave early before breakfast. No money was deducted.
Mirror cracked in room. Wallpaper peeling of walls.
The outside needs a lick of paint
Not worth £68 to stay here.

Very clean and comfortable accommodation. I was staying for one night for a uni reunion and it was perfect for my purposes. Welcoming check in, room very clean, towels and shower gel etc helpfully provided. Breakfast 8-9am, hearty fry with cereal, toast and yogurts available. All in all great value and very clean.

The room they gave me hadn't been cleaned in years. You can tell by the amount of dust on the floor. Sure, the bed sheets get changed but they hang on the floor in years worth of dust against the walls.

I saw 2 bed bugs on my pillow, 1 crawling on my hand. Took pictures as proof.

Left immediately.

It is that kind of laziness and neglect that puts people's health at risk.

UTTERLY DISGUSTING.

I had a single room here for one night. Very handy for going into the city centre, just 10 minutes on a very frequent bus. I managed to get one of the two parking spaces outside the B&B. Check in was simple, very friendly staff. I had a single room on the top floor. It was a quiet room day or night. The room was small and basic, but I expected that. Bed was slightly firm, just how I prefer it, so I found it very comfortable. Bathroom was also small, but quite adequate. Everywhere was clean although the decor was showing its age.
Breakfast was basically cerial & toast, although there was also yogurt and limited choice of fresh fruit. For a few minutes there was an unpleasant smell in the hall. I think they may have a problem with drains.
Considering the low cost, this is a good value B&B.

I don’t usually put much reviews online but some of the ones I’ve read were so negative that I would just like to say it is decent: you get what you pay for and by British standards (quality & price) it is perfectly ok. Of course not perfect, the rooms are small and so is the shower, but we were pleased with our stay. If you’ve got busy days out and our not here to spend your days in your hotel room then it’s just fine. Room facing backyard silent enough and got a warm welcome unlike some comments mentionned.

This guest house is absolutely disgusting!!! No-one to greet you, had to phone for code, room was very dated and dirty, shower so so tiny, didn't use it. Only had cereal for breakfast, that was the only time we saw someone. Stayed in Oxford all day as we didn't want to go back there, left at 5am the following morning. I DO NOT recommend this place!!!!!

The guest house had basic facilities, but was clean and did the job for an overnight stay. The show was tight in one of the rooms we had, but was of a bigger size in the other. The bustop was very close by, so access to Oxford was only a short journey. The breakfast was good
