We had booked a private room to celebrate a number of birthdays, this was the first time we had all been able to be together in over a year. The service was fantastic, we had Linda looking after us all day and nothing was too much trouble. She did a super job and really made sure all we had to do was enjoy ourselves!

My wife and I had a very pleasant stay for one night in the Hotel-Du-Vin. The staff were extremely pleasant and welcoming and made our stay very special. We booked a standard room but it was still beautifully decorated with an enormous comfy bed and great bath/shower. We didn't eat at the restaurant for dinner but the moue looked great. Breakfast was not included in the booking but was discounted when we added it at check in. Absolutely delicious and relaxing to sit in the courtyard in the sunshine for breakfast was a real treat. I would definitely recommend this hotel and we will be returning to stay here again.

I visited this hotel this weekend as I was walking a section of the Thames Path over two days with my family. The good points: 1. Great location in Henley The bad points 1. Horrendously overpriced - we paid £400+ per night per room for two so called “duluxe rooms” which were anything but. 2. Poor quality staff - disinterested in customers. 3. One of our two rooms smelt damp and musty. I suspect it is rising damp. No one made any attempt to identify the problem when I raised it. 4. The food served at dinner was average. Not bad just very average. 5. We were serve a cooked breakfast which had raw black pudding (not cooked) and raw sausages ( very undercooked). 6. Decor and fixtures/ fittings a bit old and tired. I raised all of the above points with staff at the hotel. My primary concern was the room we were given which fell short by a long way what we had been sold online. The reception staff were largely uninterested. The referred me to the restaurant manager who was kind but had no ability to help. I was told to contact the The General Manager which I did. He emailed me on Saturday night to say that he was too busy to help me with my concerns about the room because he was “our for dinner with his friends”. That just about sums up the quality that HDV has fallen to. His managerial method of solving my legitimate concerns was to tell me that if I did not like the room I could check out at no cost. This was late on Saturday evening. I can only assume that he trained in his managerial skills at Fawlty Towers. I have been a loyal customer of HDV for many years. I can only assume that post pandemic and post their sale in April 2021 that standards have fallen dramatically. This is a rather tired hotel currently staffed by very poor quality staff. I would advise you to avoid it. For the price you could not do worse and I am sure you could do much much better.

Waited 20 mins for a table. The waiter said someone would come out but no one bothered. We walked round the corner to a pub in the square where the staff were charming and welcoming. So sad that a once boutique and upmarket brand can’t be bothered about serving customers anymore.
