We have just stayed at this beautiful boutique hotel it’s amazing it is so quirky and tasteful decorated the hotels outside seated garden is a must it’s beautiful we had a wonderful breakfast too -the main reason why I am also writing this review is the most lovely welcome we had from Becca nothing is to much trouble for her she goes above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable she is so friendly and helpful her knowledge of the industry shines through she is a credit to the hotel -on that note we can’t wait to return thank you to all the staff at the hotel too you all do a great job!

A gem of a place in every way. We enjoyed a mid week stay . Only 10 to 15 min walk to the city centre in a quiet residential area. A lovely relaxing garden area to chill with a drink from the bar. Only negative is the price of parking which unfortunately is the norm in city areas . We would not hesitate to rebook or recommend to anyone

What an absolute gem of a place. The whole Town House ooses class and quirkiness with a perfect mixture and measure. The staff were all so friendly, tentative and went above and beyond to make our stay marvelous and memorable. The food was delicious and all served with an element of art in its presentation. Comfortable bed and excellent room. We will definitely be back.

The pictures and descriptions are lovely but you don't really get an understanding for how nice this place is until you're there. The rooms and facilities are gorgeous and the staff are amazing. The location is pretty great too, it's a 5 minute leisurely flat/level walk into town where you're greeted almost immediately by the Minster itself.

I stayed here alone whilst on a mini trip away to York and loved this hotel! Everything was decorated wonderfully, especially the lounge area. My bed was comfortable and I liked that there was hot chocolate in the room. Cream tea was nice and I enjoyed the passionfruit martinis on tap. Friendly staff and good breakfast. Will definitely stay here next time I visit.

This was by far the best hotel stay we experienced in a while. Apart from wonderfully designed and extremely clean (!) rooms, we were impressed by the general friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. It truly felt like meeting old friends and coming home. A great surprise for us was an upgrade so we got to enjoy the spacious and luxurious After Eight suite. A special shoutout to Becca here for being the kindest and most helpful host, you were wonderful. Also, all of your team, especially the Kiwi night porter whose name (I am embarrassed to say) I have forgotten, were splendid and everyone provided the best customer service. We felt so looked after and it was the perfect place to celebrate our anniversary. Anything we could have wished for was provided. We loved the touch of fresh milk and water for our coffee in the morning. Also, the bar and lounge were lovely places to while away the evening. The hotel is easy walking distance from the city centre which made the stay even more comfortable. We will 100% be back.…

Perfect stay at this modern, opulent hotel. Luxurious room and attentive staff made this a great little getaway. Just a short walk to the Minster area. Big comfy bed for a great nights sleep. I opted for a continental breakfast which was more than adequate. Would highly recommend Clementine

Stopped over here the night before a job interview so a very short stay. Absolutely loved it though and will recommend to family members visiting York. Room was spotlessly clean, well decorated and the whole hotel just had a lovely, modern vibe. Can’t comment on breakfast as we had to rush off but would love to visit again to have a try. Bed very, very comfortable and shower was wonderful!
