We stayed Saturday- Monday and couldn’t be happier with the accommodation that was provided. Upon arrival we were greeted and shown a map, giving suggests and directions of great places to visit; I was also given the choice of room. The room had everything we needed and had great tea and coffee facilities. The accommodation was just a short walk to the centre, which meant that we were able to pop back to the room to drop off any items we had purchased during the day; it was a great location, and nice and quiet for a great nights sleep. We would recommend and hope to come back again soon!

Great value money, lovely room and bathroom very tidy, staff were great and friendly and a great location only a 10 minute walk to city centre. The only minor issue is walls were very thin and could hear people coming in and out rooms. Would stay here again when we come back to York.

My daughter and I had a very friendly welcome when we arrived. We were in an attic room which was lovely and quiet. Very clean accommodation. Lovely bedding. Had everything you needed. Very convenient location.

Close to City Centre for exploring, a Victorian Guest House. No car park but they do give you a permit for on street parking. Original floor tiles in the hall welcome you in, as does the bowl of boiled sweets which were a refreshing treat after a long car journey. The hosts were lovely and nothing was too much trouble. We requested a ground floor room for our friends as they can’t do stairs anymore and their room was a really good size. A king size bed and large bathroom. We were up two flights and our hosts took our luggage up for us, but the room was great. A twin room with a good bathroom and the shower was powerful. Both rooms had tea and coffee facilities including an espresso machine. Hairdryer and fan in each room were also a welcome find (esp for ladies of a certain age!) also available was an iron and ironing board. The beds were clean and comfortable as were the rooms. There is no food available at Vikings accommodation but there is a well equipped kitchen for you to use with oven, fridge and microwave. We made sandwiches to take out in the day and had breakfast there in the morning and ate out in the evening. All in all most things have been thought of and anything lacking the hosts are willing to put right. We suggested a shower mat for the showers as the floors can get slippery and I’m sure they will have already been purchased. All four of us really enjoyed our stay and look forward to a return visit.…

From the moment we arrived to the time we checked out, our stay was awesome the owners couldn't do enough for us, warm clean comfortable rooms, with kitchen facilities, nothing was too much trouble ,made our stay in York so much nicer , Highly recommended will definitely stay again

Lovely and clean the rooms were well equipped very friendly. Easy walking distance to amenities . Well worth visiting as there is plenty to do in York. Lots of lovely eating out places and some fantastic bars.

Very helpful and accommodating at short notice. My mum had concussion and needed to stay somewhere after being in hospital. Made sure she was comfortable before sorting payment with my dad! Lovely room and great facilities. Would highly recommend!!

Nice hotel, very clean, well presented and only a 10 minute walk to the city centre . The owner was really accommodating, arranged a taxi to collect us, he was very friendly and couldn’t have done more for us, great guy! I would definitely recommend.
