We arrived in January for a four night stay for my husband‘s birthday but unfortunately he was taken ill when we were out for a meal on our first evening. Fortunately, we managed to get back to the hotel but we ended up not being able to leave the room for several days due to his health. I cannot thank all in the Lion & Key enough for the fantastic support that we were given at a very distressing time. Unfortunately, due to the situation, we were unable to travel back home early but they really went over and above to ensure that we were well looked after and supported in every way. A huge thank you to Giorgio ,Kanti and Steph for their unwavering Kindness and help, not just for my husband, but for me also. Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts

What a great find! I had an excellent 2 night stay here. Room was large, comfortable and very clean. Spacious bathroom with an excellent shower and everything in excellent condition. The staff were helpful and all the communal areas were really well maintained. Also parked my car here for £15 a day. Genuinely can't find fault and will definitely stay here again.

This hotel was a good place to use as a base during our anniversary break and convenient for getting around. We found our room to be clean and spacious and the bed was extremely comfy. We ate in the hotel restaurant on one night and the food was delicious. We would recommend it.

First of all let me say how spotlessly clean and good smelling this hotel was! Easy service from the front desk to check in even accommodated us 45 mins early. Breakfast was included with a voucher to use during our stay. It was limited to one breakfast each from a set menu with a tea or a coffee. The quality of food was great! The eggs benedict was perfectly poached eggs. Congrats to the chef. Very quiet hotel during our stay no noise issues considering it is surrounded by a main road both sides. On checkout the manager at the desk even let us use the printer to print a document we needed for our travels. We would seriously stay again when we are back in London. Thanks everyone at lion and key hotel.

On entering the hotel I can’t really say the greeting was friendly, just didn’t really welcome us, just needed to do the essentials and he sent us off to the room. The room was an adequate size, it was clean but you don’t expect to see paint falling off the walls. I had a discount through wowcher and glad we didn’t pay the full price! The room was cleaned the next day but they failed to top up the tea/coffee tray which surely is a basic requirement, and they didn’t leave any extra complimentary shower gels. The mattress was rock hard and for that reason would not return to this hotel.

This is a family run hotel and they really take great pride in providing a first class service and stay every time we visit. They genuinely want all guests to have the perfect stay and there is always somebody on hand to help you with any issue you may have . I have lost count of the number of times over the years that they have helped me when our plans have changed and they sort things out on the Internet for me, re-print tickets or rearranged bookings etc. This has been more frequent since Covid and with all the different train and underground strikes as often, the best laid plans are ruined. Perfectly situated as 4 buses are available literally two minutes walk from the hotel entrance, only five minutes on the bus to Leyton underground which is on the central line so so quick and easy to get anywhere and everywhere in London. Rooms are excellent , lots of storage space and room, lovely big showers. Excellent views over Leyton and depending which side of the hotel you are on, can see some of London’s historic landmarks. They have an excellent selection of food in the restaurant, and all produce is of high-quality, cooked fresh in the open kitchen. Of course, the staff are the most important, and you cannot fault the teamwork in this hotel and a big thank you to Giorgio, Kanti and Steph who, along with their staff, make this the best hotel in London, that we have ever visited. We would give them six stars if we could because to consistently provide the high level of service and accommodation and food is exceptional. Well done all and we can’t wait to return

Great hotel that was clean and comfortable. Next door bar and grill was convenient and tasty. Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were nicer than four star places that I’ve stayed at during my holiday . Would come here again and highly recommend

We stayed here as part of a red letter day voucher that we had. This included a 2 course meal for 2 in the hotel restaurant. The room was nice, but missing certain basic amenities. There was no hand wash, no bath mat for the shower and only one towel for two people. The restaurant was ok, but the tables were so sticky you couldn’t even put your hands on them without getting stuck. The hotel has potential to be amazing, but just needs some tlc

We stayed July 23 for two nights and used the hotel as a base to tour London. The hotel is finished to a very high standard, with rooms, bar, restaurant and reception being modern, smart and welcoming. The staff were excellent and friendly and although we required very little they were very much on the ball. The walk to Leyton tube takes about 10-15 mins with trains running every few minutes with the added bonus being that Leyton is on the central line so you don’t need to change for allot of the main tourist locations. Breakfast was excellent and we would have no hesitation to recommend this hotel.

The staff (Kanti and Giorgio), the bar staff and housekeepers are fabulous. Very engaging and communicative. Their customer service is exceptional. They're friendly and organised. They give a personal service which is why we go back to this lovely little hotel! The bedroom was clean and comfortable. There's very little outside noise bearing in mind you're in a busy suburb. Breakfast is very good value so too are their homemade burgers! Good wine list. Good access to interesting local multicultural shops, cafes etc and the bus and train stations are a 10 min walk away.
