Cleanliness is a standout feature, with guests repeatedly commending the spotless rooms and facilities. Staff members receive accolades for their friendly and efficient service. While the rooms are celebrated for their cleanliness and comfort, some guests mention they are compact and lack certain features like blackout curtains. The Motel One is ideally located, next tube only 2 minutes away , the check in was quick room was ready when we arrived around noon. Rooms are small, but it is London. Breakfast was very good, good selection , high quality. The only down side of the hotel is the bar, service is very slow as there is not enough staff , around 60 guests but only 2 waiters, so expect to wait or you good in one of the surrounding bars. So in general I highly recommend Motel One , in particular for the location in combination with a for London very reasonable proce

I am very pleased by this hotel. The location is perfect (close to city circle underground) which means you can travel around the city easy and convenient. During my stay the hotel was very friendly by greeting and asking if my stay was okay. The room as such is pretty small but big enough if you don't expect too much space. The shower was nice and spacious and the bed was big and comfortable. I was positively surprised that there were UK and EU wall outlets in the room. As a point of feedback I would say that housekeeping was pretty eager to start cleaning the room (a bit too much, have had them almost each day knocking on my door), but that is a minor point which I did not really bother me at all! Whenever I will visit London next time this will be the first hotel I would check for availability!

We visited london for a 2 day break chose this hotel mainly for the price it gave excellent value and a central location. Staff were all friendly and helpful first impressions great it looked very posh for an on budget hotel lovely vibe when you walked in. Rooms were lovely a little a small but had everything we needed and the king size bed was amazingly comfy! I often struggle to go to sleep on the 1sr night in a hotel but we slept like a log both nights! Aircon that actually cools the room and the fire on the tv was a nice touch.
We didnt have breakfast here as it seemed a bit pricey for what was offered but there were plenty og places near by to get food!
The slug and lettuce next door was lovely!
5 minute walk to tower bridge and very local to two underground stations. Tesco and sainsburys in walking distance. We travelled around on the undeeground and managed to remain in zone 1 for everything sp location of this hotel was great!
Thankyou motel one!

This hotel isn't the cheapest but considering London prices is one of the more affordable. The rooms are very clean, well equipped and laid out, but not particularly large. The staff were efficient and friendly, they allowed us to drop off our bags and stored them for us until we could check into the room. Breakfast didn't look very inspiring and was very pricey, so we would suggest checking out some of the local options. It is in a high-rise building, so some of the rooms are very high up. Well located, not far from Spitalfields Market and tower hill with good connections to both the tube and DLR.

We have just returned from a 2 night stay. We booked through Booking.com and requested a room with a city view and it did not disappoint. We were a corner room so we had a view of the gherkin, the shard and Canary Wharf.
The room was spotless and a good shower. Although the room was relatively small, we knew that when we booked and it was fine for 2 people for 2 night. We were rarely in the room!
Paper cups are in use so bring a mug if you are not keen. Extra milk is readily available on reception,
We didn’t really need any assistance however all staff we came into contact with were friendly.
Location is fantastic. Near 3 tubes and only a short walk to Whitechapel or Tower Bridge.
We didn’t have breakfast as not a fan of continental and it always looked very busy. If you fancy a cooked breakfast I highly recommend Peter’s Cafe directly opposite Aldgate Tube station.

Room Tip: We stayed on the 13th floor room 7 which was a corner room and had fantastic views. Also very quiet.

This is the second time that we have stayed we found it good value for staying in London and the location for what we was doing was perfect. The location is also near places to eat, Catherine‘s wharf, Tower of London, London Bridge and near the tube stations.
The rooms are not large but okay for sleeping and you can walk round the bed easy the bathrooms have sink toilet and shower. The towels get changed daily. There a coffee and tea supplied. And we paid slightly extra to have a view which was well worth it as we had double aspect windows.
Checking in was simple and efficient as was checking out. We did not have breakfast there as it’s only Continental. We have also stayed in motel one in Manchester which has the same ethos. Would use again in London.

After arriving at Heathrow Airport, I took the train and subway to the Aldgate station and walked a couple of blocks to Motel One. That was a very convenient way to get to the hotel. I arrived before the 3 pm check in time, but they had a room ready for me. They required payment up front, and that was the first time I ever paid for my room before I stayed in it, but it did make checking out pretty quick. Actually, I probably didn't even need to stop at the desk when I left a couple of days later. The lobby area was sleek and modern and provided a cool ambiance. The room was pretty compact but it had what I needed. It was clean and the bed was comfortable enough.

The hotel is in a good location as well. There are plenty of restaurants in the area, the underground station is only a couple of blocks away, and the Tower Bridge isn't far away. This was a reasonably priced hotel, and I had no complaints. I would definitely stay here again if I'm ever in London.

We stayed here for a long weekend and found it to be quite central to the tower bridge area. Quite quiet nearby but close to nice restaurants and pubs as well as the the and bus. The bar area is quite nice but sometimes can be a wait. Breakfast was basic with machine coffee not fresh. We also found ourselves in the background of a business zoom meeting in the lobby whilst checking out which was a bit weird. The room was well appointed but not easy to navigate, its like the architect didn't consider people would be in the room. The bathroom is a reasonable size with hot water and a hairdryer. reasonable wardrobe space. We stayed here after we enjoyed the Manchester hotel but this hotel is not to the same level as the one in Manchester unfortunately. Its nice enough but I would consider going elsewhere.

Stayed here for two nights on business. The room was booked by my client on a room only basis so I didn't get to sample the breakfast.
However, the room ( 525) was very clean and very quiet which is important to me as I'm a very light sleeper and easily disturbed by people walking around on the floor above or slamming doors.
The bed!!! Wow!! I sleep on my side and have had many uncomfortable nights on firm mattresses in other hotels but Motel One mattresses are the most comfortable I have slept on in ANY hotel. I know it's a subjective thing but if, like me, you also sleep on your side or just prefer soft mattresses you won't be disappointed.
The TV was a little 'glitchy' but not enough to make it unwatchable.
Would most definitely stay here again if only for the comfortable mattress.
Friendly staff, comfortable room and good location all made for a great, if short, stay.

Recommended.

I have to say I really enjoyed by recent 3 night stay at this hotel. Firstly and probably most apprecaited was been able to check in early as I had been travelling from 3am and had an event booked at 4pm so getting some much needed shut eye was welcome. Centrally located

The hotel itself was very nice inside in terms of design definitely looked a lot fancier that the 3 star rating. Room simple, a little small but I didn't mind as I only needed it for sleep as I was going to be out all day and evening. It was quite at night which helped in terms of sleep. Very tidy and clean in public areas and rooms refreshed daily

Breakfast was continental self service and had plenty of options on food if I had one quibble an evening meal option would be nice if you didn't want to venture out. Bar had a decent range of drinks perfect for a night cap.

Overall very happy, will be back one final thought staff knowledge on local area would be helpful in terms of recommending places to eat for example given hotel lack of lunch or evening meal service

Good morning. My family is in SC! Welcome to Motel One .... check out our website as detailed instructions are there. Very easy. From Gatwick no need to take the Gatwick Express, take the first departing train to London Victoria. About 30 minutes. At Victoria, follow the signs to the District (green) or the Circle (yellow) lines going EAST. About 30 minutes. EXIT at ALDGATE (not Aldgate East) Come out of the underground criss the street, walk through the open air bus depot, it veers to the right, turn LEFT at the street and we are just past the construct site on the left. (3 minutes)
