Overlooking a tranquil garden square in Mayfair, The Beaumont embodies the spirit of the grand hotels of the 1920s, while surrounding guests with the feel of a private club. The award-winning hotel houses 101 discreetly luxurious rooms and suites, Antony Gormley’s ROOM, an inhabitable work of art and the presidential Roosevelt Suite. The hotel’s chic Art Deco interiors have been refined by leading designer Thierry Despont working with architects Reardon Smith, while its expanding art collection inspires both nostalgia and excitement for the new. The Colony Grill is a New York-style restaurant of old-world glamour serving transatlantic cuisine, and the Terrace brings al fresco café culture to Brown Hart Gardens. Afternoon tea is held in Gatsby’s Room, while classic cocktails and canapés are served at Le Magritte Bar. The spa offers relaxing and regenerative treatments for guests and locals; and there are three private rooms for meeting and entertaining.

I have meant to review this hotel since our stay in June. My family, which includes three teens, only stayed for one night in June before traveling to Italy. Our flight from the states was delayed several hours, so we arrived very late in the evening. We were thrilled that when we arrived we were able to order dinner and nothing was too much trouble. I have celiac, and even at midnight they arranged to make gluten free food! Breakfast was delicious, too. The rooms were impeccably clean and modern, and the bed is one of the best we've slept on. Everyone here was friendly and simply outstanding, from the front desk to the drivers, and we were sad that we hadn't booked a longer stay. My sister and parents are visiting London in November and I won't let them book anywhere else! We look forward to our return next year.

Having travelled to London many times and stayed at various 5 star hotels, the Beaumont is now on the top of my list. The hotel room was spacious, clean and cosy. Every staff at the hotel made us feel very welcomed, and most of them remember our names! The location of the hotel is just a minute walk from Oxford street where Selfridges is located. The location is very convenient and we were able to walk to many places. If you need a cab, you could find them easily too. The housekeeping service is top notched. They tie a ribbon around each of our charging cables and leave a full bottles of water on our bedside tables nightly. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back.

Just returned from 2 nights at this amazing hotel. I was there as part of a large party celebrating a birthday and this was the perfect choice.

Location - Honestly this couldnt be better, 30 seconds from Oxford Street, you are in the heart of London yet somehow the hotel feels tucked away and even with a busy road outside it was quiet at night. There is more places to eat than can be listed within 2 minutes of the hotel and Selfridges is just a minutes walk away.

Hotel - The hotel has a lovely boutique feel whilst still managing to provide a 5 star service you would expect of any of the larger famous hotels in London. The staff are friendly and the hotel doesnt feel stuffy. Guests seem to be a mix of international business travellers and those on vacation. We had a mix of ages including babies, toddlers, teenagers all the way up to family in their 70s and it suited us all very well. Tipping isnt required as its included as a service charge with the price of the room. This is nice as its one less thing to consider especially when I dont tend to carry cash.

The room - The room is a nice size for a central London hotel and had everything you could need. The bed was incredibly comfy and the sheets were to die for, it was hard to leave the bed and explore London. Every part of the room had been thought about and it met all our needs. Soft drinks and snacks were free and were refilled twice a day. I had a small problem with my tv and the engineer arrived within 5 minutes of calling reception to report the issue. The bathroom was lovely and I liked the speaker that played the sound from the tv, however none of us could figure out how to turn it off. The shower was lovely and towels were plentiful. The miniatures were of a high quality however I am glad I had taken my own shampoo as I tried the shampoo bar which didnt really work with my long dyed hair.

Turn down service was also included and the small gestures such as leaving water by the bed made me feel very spoilt.

I had room service one evening which was fast and nicely laid out etc. A few more vegetarian options such as a veggie burger would have been nice on the menu however with so many food options close by it wasnt really an issue.

I cant recommend this hotel enough, whatever your reason for staying there you will be well looked after.

I stayed at The Beaumont in Mayfair for two weeks in September shortly after it reopened in late August after a refurbishment during the Covid lockdown. The hotel is more luxurious and beautiful than it was before and it was already gorgeous. The Art Dec lobby with newly upholstered sofas is so inviting and warm. There is gorgeous art everywhere in the hotel that adds so much richness and pure beauty! The service at the hotel remains remarkable and superb . The staff , many of whom have returned, take such good care of you and recognise you by name. They gladly assist you in making your stay in London very special! The gracious staff is truly great asset of the hotel!

Rooms are ao relaxing and are whisper quiet. Love the comfortable king bed with beautiful and luxurious linens. The room are well designed with two full closets and lots of drawers. The is a beautiful desk and a flat screen TV with lots of channels and movies. The marble bathroom is very large and luxurious, and includes a wonderful and relaxing rain shower. The room is cleaned twice a day service and water and snacks are provided at no charge.

The hotel includes the fabulous Colony Grill Room that serves the most delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner. There is a new chef and he has enhanced the menu. For dinner one night, I loved a beautifully grilled Dover sole and it was perfectly prepared and so delicious. The Colony Grill Room itself is even more classy with bright murals on the walls.

There is also the Gatsby Room for lighter fare and tea service. I enjoyed The Beaumont Cheeseburger that was so moist and flavourful--truly one of the best burgers in London.

Finally, there is the Magritte Bar where you can enjoy classic an wonderful cocktails. The martinis are not to be missed. In addition, there is outside patio seating to enjoy when the weather is nice!

My stay at The Beaumont was sheer perfection and greatly enhance my vacation in London! I highly recommend The Beaumont as the best luxury hotel in all of London!

My husband and I have returned from a weekend stay at the hotel and it was the finest staycation we’ve had. We’ve stayed at the likes of Dorchester, Grosvenor House and several others but this was on another level. The hotel has the old class with all the new amenities. We had fresh fruit in our room everyday, topped up twice a day. Lots of free movies, chocolates, free nuts, biscuits, coffee machine and water. The attention to detail was extraordinary- everyone in the hotel knew our name, all asking if we are enjoying our anniversary celebrations, the doorman insisted upon having the hotel car drop us to dinner when we asked for a taxi, room service was fast...nothing was a problem. The location was incredible- opposite Selfridges, walking distance from Piccadilly Circus. No other 5* hotel in London can compete! A must stay!

London was our last stop during our trip to UK and Ireland, and staying at The Beaumont was the best way to end the trip. Rooms are a bit pricey, but well worth it. Hotel staff are very friendly, they always greet us with a smile, and very accommodating too. We stayed here for 3 nights and our room was kept clean and spotless. Bed is so comfy. But I especially love their linens. They’re so soft and smooth, I think it has very high thread count, 1000 maybe. 😊 Toilet and bathroom is big with high-end fixtures.
Items in the minibar are also complimentary (am not sure though if this is true for all room categories) except for the wine and beer, and replenished everyday, which is really great. 👍
One of the reasons why I chose this hotel is because of its very close proximity to Oxford St, specifically Selfridges, which is just like 1-2 minutes walk away. It is also close to Mount St. Bond Station (Tube/Underground) is also just 3 blocks from the hotel. Hence, location is perfect. Well, at least for me and my hubby. 😆
We’ve had a lovely stay in this hotel, and well taken cared of. Special mention to Janira. 😃 Thank you for making our stay in London quite memorable.

Highly recommended! 👍👍👍

What a lovely property - beautiful and discreet with an Art Deco-private club feel.
Truly everything is as it should be here, from shoes polished and garments pressed overnight, to the little thoughtful touches like a bookmark left on one's novel at the bedside.
The staff shine from the front door to the housekeeping; all friendly, efficient and genuine.
The restaurants are exactly right: a great bar that doubles as a charming breakfast room; a piano lounge where delicious casual dining is always available; and the pièce de résistance Colony Room where everything from a chopped salad to a Dover Sole is a thing of beauty and the service is impeccable.
The Beaumont has it all: superb location, quiet luxury, and the confidence and ability to do things properly.

Our recent stay at The Beaumont was incredible. As Americans traveling abroad, we were looking for an accommodation that would be comfortable and situated in a great location. What we ended up experiencing was much more than that.

The staff at The Beaumont take great pride in their work, and regard The Beaumont with the highest respect. They take the time to show you to your room, learn your name, and help in any way that they can with your travels and sightseeing. We had the chance to be driven to many locations in London from their friendly chauffeur, who gave us explanations to the buildings and history around us. This added ease to our travels while truly embedding us into London culture.

The accommodations at The Beaumont are phenomenal. The rooms were spotless and housekeeping services added many touches to the room to make it even more luxurious and comfortable, including a bed "turn down," a glass and bottle of water at nighttime, and freshly made sheets.

We dined in Gatsby's Room, the dining room of The Beaumont, multiple times throughout our stay. The food was phenomenal, as well as the full afternoon tea experience. We highly suggest afternoon tea at The Beaumont-- the atmosphere was classy and traditional, which was exactly what we were looking for.

After our experience at The Beaumont, we couldn't imagine staying anywhere else in London. We thank The Beaumont for making our accommodation experience exceptional.

We had a "Premier Room" on the first floor right above the hotel entrance. I was a bit nervous that this may be noisy but very pleased that the room was EXTREMELY QUIET not only from outside noise but also from within the hotel. We spent 4 nights here and the hotel was full but we never heard anything from other rooms or guests.

The location is excellent with easy access to numerous restaurants, Bond St. tube station and shopping along Oxford Street.

Our room was very comfortable and beautifully decorated. Most services were as expected with special thanks to Thomas and Angel for being so accommodating.

The only times service fell short was while dining in Le Magritte Bar and Terrace where we had breakfast three mornings and dinner on the Terrace one night. Service during all of these occasions was slow, unorganized and confusing.

Note that the website indicates; "We offer all guests staying at The Beaumont complimentary daily 'Beaumont Baker's Basket' ~ morning coffee, tea, juices, home-made viennoiseries and preserves served in Le Magritte Bar". In reviewing the bill before checking out I noted that we were charged for some of the "complementary" breakfast items served in the Bar. This was promptly removed after I pointed it out. Also on our last morning we had the complementary breakfast brought to our room since we wouldn't have time to take it in the Bar. They added a significant charge for this which was removed after I inquired about it. I understand that room service is typically extra but since they add a 5% "Hotel Service Charge" in addition to the room rate I thought this might have been included.

Final comment: the dead trees on each side of the grand entrance need to be removed.

Dear wanderingways, Thank you for taking the time to write this review having recently stayed the Beaumont for almost a week. I am delighted to read 'The location is excellent with easy access to numerous restaurants' and 'that the room was extremely quiet'. More specifically, it is a great help thank you for pointing out areas we can improve on. We are working on our Terrace service and particularly at breakfast time, linking service buttons on tables to improve service. We will drill down with our Food and Beverage Operations Manager to improve this for your next stay. With your comment on the bakery basket, we do need to show flexibility here as this may be preferred as room service. Thank you for pointing these charges out on check out. With your final comment on the trees, we are told they will become greener in July/August, however these particular trees are perhaps more appropriate for the South of France in the sunshine! There is perhaps too much shade in our courtyard so we are looking into this. I'd love to meet with you on your next visit and thank you for your helpful comments. With my best wishes, Duncan
