Cute little townhouse 3 min walk from Kings Cross Station. Amazing friendly and helpful staff, from writing to them before arrival and chatting throughout the stay. Neil & Yanni are fabulous guys and can't do enough for you. Note: you need to look out for your email from Kingscrosshotelsgroup for your entry code to the front door and to your room. There is no lift, you could be on the top floor, be prepared to carry your luggage up tiny stairs.
Nicely decorated, super clean and well looked after.
Rain shower was lovely, but be warned, there is no hand held shower head, so bring a shower cap if you don't want wet hair every wash. Comfy pillows. Mattress was too soft for us as we are used to firm, but I suspect this will be super cozy for those that like it softer. Fresh clean bedding.
Beware if you have large suitcases, the rooms are very tiny & it's tight for moving around, always stepping over the cases. We were lucky with our bed, it was a high one and we pushed the cases underneath, but my sister's room didn't have that option.
It was our 5 yr wedding anniversary & brother in law's 49th birthday. We were greeted with mini bottles of Prosecco & glasses on arrival. We had a gorgeous hand written card and a vase of 8 red roses. Towels in the shape of swans too! Our fridges were stocked with chocolate, water, energy drinks and tea making bits. We asked for oat milk and there it was in the fridge. Also, both rooms had little gift box of L'occitane goodies, shower gel, shampoo and other small bits. Such a gorgeous gesture. Every day we had fresh towels, chocolate chip cookies & a daily newspaper.
Sadly there is no breakfast, but it's London and there are local brekkie cafes in the surrounding streets. The most amazing cafe is the Sandwich St Kitchen. You'll find it on maps, 5 min walk from hotel. 5 star food and presentation.
This hotel location is excellent, fast travel to the West End & Camden. Busses everywhere and of course the underground is right there for further afield. We are Londoners, returning for a weekend, so most of our adventures were done on foot because we know the back roads, however, awesome for those who are new to the area.
On check-out, Hossain came to our room to collect our luggage to store for us in the main hotel reception. We weren't ready at the time, so we took our cases to Neil for safe keeping till we were ready to leave.
Thanks to all! Dawn, Chris, Naz & Jules.

Hello Dawn, Chris, Naz & Jules, Neil here! 😄 I couldn't help but smile when I read your fantastic review. It was truly a pleasure having you celebrate your 5-year wedding anniversary and your brother-in-law's 49th birthday with us. I'm thrilled that you appreciated our little surprises, from the Prosecco and roses to the handwritten card and swan-shaped towels. We wanted to make your stay as special as possible. Great thinking! 😅 Your kind words about our location and the Sandwich St Kitchen are much appreciated, and we'll definitely pass on your compliments. From the booking of this room way back when, to confirming we had checked out, the experience and facilities at this hotel was great.

We were given a key code to enter the main door and the room. Let ourselves in, found flowers and little notes and gifts on the room, a reasonably well stocked fridge and facilities for most types of break. There was a large TV, hairdryers that dry, coffee pod coffee machine, safe, microwave, I’m sure there was more but it it too much to remember.

The room quirky, the shower was lovely, the bed was comfy, and it was all clean. It was 5 mins walk away from St Pancras & Kings Cross, so excellent links with public transport. Nice and quiet area, and green space out front. Every morning, a trolly appeared with fresh clean towels, and some biscuits on a plate, which was a lovely touch.

We explored the facilities whilst there, there was some brilliant eclectic artwork on the walls, arcade machines to play retro games on, and a session on the Peloton bike made my stay even more special.

Any minor things that we still required that were missing, we’re provided within minutes of us enquiring if we could have more, for example teabags, no teaspoons there was only 1 mug and 4 cups (we’re northern, so fight over a decent sized mug, and why does anyone nick teaspoons???) . I had forgotten my iPhone cable and this was even provided (thank you).

We had a brilliant experience here, we will definitely come back, it’s location & VFM is enough to ensure that, but all the added extras, the Rokxy Townhouse is definitely the best on the block.

Suggestions for improvements are minor - if not really petty sounding; I’d suggest some sheets of kitchen towels to dry crockery if used, and a hand towel maybe for wrapping hair up after a shower, but really…..!

See you next time we’re in town!

The owners and staff at Rokxy Townhouse exemplify what’s good about the hospitality industry in this country. They communicated leading up to my stay so I had clear information about access and parking options. Loretta miraculously appeared as I arrived and helped with bags and both Yannis and Hossein made my departure stress free, collecting bags from the room and storing them until I was ready to leave. The rooms are small - they don’t pretend otherwise, describing them as crashpads. Lots of small touches, chocolate, water, fruit juice etc. in the fridge, were thoughtful. My dog was made equally welcome. The bed was very comfortable, the shower hot and efficient.
The decor in the rooms and common areas was unusual and gave the building personality. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. The location is great, a couple of minutes from Kings Cross, there is reasonable parking nearby and places to unload outside the hotel (though it is in the congestion charge zone if that is an issue for anyone). For me with the dog, the little park in Argyle Square was also really handy.

We stayed in this hotel as we were traveling from Scotland to EU by train and had a layover in London. The location of this hotel is amazingly located near the two train stations we needed. As we needed to be at the train station at 06.30, this hotel seemed the perfect spot. The host of the hotel was genuinely friendly and made us feel at home. Our room was a really small room on the second floor. Even though small in size, our room had its own fridge (filled with some complementary chocolate, juices, and water), microwave and kettle. Cutlery, thee and coffee can also be found in the room. We also got a little gift, which was a very nice touch. As this is London, we didn't expect a spacious room and the room was cleverly designed with a small table and chair hanging on the wall to use when needed.

We stayed here during a very hot day (31 degrees Celsius) and though are room had a ceiling fan and a desktop fan, the room remained hot, way too hot to get a good night's sleep. Furthermore, the bed was uncomfortable for two people as if one person moves, the other person feels this too (a lot).

The very small bathroom is basic, but has everything you need. Due to the small size of the bathroom, the shower has a shower curtain. Ventilation is bad and the whole place smells damp, so you don't feel nice and fresh after a shower. The shower drain seemed to be clogged. Water in the toilet kept seeping the entire time (thus also during the night).

Not sure if I would stay here again given the bathroom (and the lack of air-conditioning during hot days). That being said, the room was clean and as mentioned before, the staff is genuinely friendly and pays attention to little details such as the gift and free snacks.

On the positive side, everyone was nice and helpful, and we appreciated the extra touches like the F&M cookies, water in the fridge, and tea/coffee, though the water reservoir for the coffee machine needs to be cleaned as it had calcification on the bottom.
We were very disappointed with the bathroom. First, the amount of mould/mildew on the walls and the ceiling. It needs a serious and thorough cleaning and disinfection. When I raised this and most of the other points with the property, they just said that they clean it every two weeks and they have a high hygiene score. That all may be, but then they need to clean it more. The walls and ceiling were not acceptable. Second, be aware that there is a number of steps to get to the bathroom and the door is partial/glass so there is zero privacy. May be relevant if you are traveling with someone else and want to keep your bathroom time to yourself. Third, it would have been nice to have more towels. We only had 1 larger one and one smaller one for two adults - nothing for the hands or the face. Two more towels arrived the next morning, but it was too late (we shower in the evening and early morning). Fourth, the water in the tap in the bathroom runs cold only and there was nothing at all to make the bathroom usable - no cup for toothbrushes, nothing. Fifth, be aware that there is no door or anything separating the shower from the rest of the bathroom and it does not drain very well, so you will have water on the floor. It felt like being in a small and not very clean hammam.
One of the bedside lamps did not work. This is not really a suite, as it is described. It is just a room with a bed and a sitting area. There is a small kitchen space one-two steps down, on the way to the bathroom (and further steps).
I would suggest doing a bit more work to bring the property to the standard that would justify the prices charged.

We loved our stay here in Queen 4 on the ground floor. Spotlessly clean, the decor was both fun and quirky (tiger wallpaper feature wall, bright orange Smeg fridge, orange cushions), one of the most comfortable beds I’ve slept in. The room is small, the bathroom very small, but there were so many extras — beer, wine and soft drinks, Kit Kats in the fridge, a morning trolley outside the door delivering freshly made tea, biscuits, the newspaper, fresh towels, extra toilet paper. Quiet at night even though we faced the street, a ceiling fan to keep the room airy without having to open the windows. Such friendly staff, especially Yannis who is so lovely to talk with and keen to ensure we had a wonderful stay. Very close and easy walk to the Kings Cross underground and train station and St Pancras international train station. Several very nice restaurants and cafes in the streets behind the hotel, including The Lucas Arms Hotel at the end of the street serving well priced pub food. It’s a breath of fresh air compared with other grotty, overpriced hotels in this area (which we unfortunately experienced). Very happy to recommend. We’ll stay here again when in London.

This my honest review, first impressions. We checked our bags in at sister hotel in the morning, we finally got back to the rokzy at around 5 pm, walking down the road to the end of the square to where the hotel is and all I can say it was like walking in to a scene from TOPBOY, big Range Rover parked 20 mts down the street from hotel opposite the park full of blokes clearly dealing or handed out drugs to youths coming back and forth from the park opposite our hotel. It left after about half hour. I get it not the hotels fault but I’m just saying. Entered hotel via code and up the very tight stair case to our first floor penthouse room again via code, no problem. Room was a lot smaller than it looks in photo, no where to put a suitcase apart from on the floor or on the bed. Room was clean, but in my opinion again very deceiving from the photos on website, didn’t get the high end feeling that the photos portrayed, all a bit cheap as in furniture like bedside cabinets and fridge which was very noisy . En-suite was tiny it was clean but very small, you bend over to brush your teeth in sink and your arse touches the door, the shower was nice but if you turned round to quick you opened the horrible curtain because you catch with your arms, very small shower, the door was cheap and hard to close with the bottom of it hacked away and all rough. It was really nice the little touches and extras you get, like the little present on the bed which was a fortnum and mason jar of jam, and the drinks in the fridge and crisps and kitkats. There’s no where apart from some coat hangers on the back of the door to hang any clothes, no cupboards to put any clothes. Bed was really uncomfortable way to soft, and every time you moved the head board moved, maybe some people might like that but in my opinion the mattress was past its best. The staff were really nice who we met, the room was clean but not high end at all , looked a bit tacky not like the photos. Our room over looked the park, this isn’t a park like you may think, the park is in the middle of the square with a basket ball court down the far end and just like some waste ground at the top end all very nicely fenced around. Our room the penthouse (penthouse in name but not in nature) faced the road and park , thank god for the ear buds provided, it was quite noisy with music playing really loudly until about 1am then at around 6am a van was outside somewhere on the street banging about unloading god knows what for an hour, all that with the fridge sounding like it’s going to blow up,every hour for 10 Minutes didn’t make a good nights sleep. The hotel tried really hard but in my opinion it wasn’t for me. I mean it isn’t cheap and falls short of that luxurious boutique hotel. It’s a great location for King’s Cross station. Sadly I won’t be staying again.

A really lovely, unique little hotel, just 3 mins walk from King's Cross, if that.

We really liked this hotel and would definitely stay again. The room was comfortable, with some very lovely complimentary sweets & surprises, and we felt very welcome. The location is excellent, although it is located slightly off the main road, so I felt absolutely fine as part of 2 people walking there at night but wouldn't want to do it on my own at night.

Lovely fluffy white towels and comfy bed, and there is a good sized fridge in the room that you can use to cool your own drinks as well. Lovely decor and friendly staff who seemed to genuinely care. There isn't a reception but you can text / call a number if you need anything. There is a games room but we never got a chance to look at it as we had a very busy schedule. A great hotel!

We stayed at in the penthouse suite. We loved the quirky features.

Free mini bar and sandwiches was a lovely touch, as was our gift. I couldn't fault the room at all. Loved the décor and was a brilliant change to the mundane run of the mill hotel rooms.

Location amazing just near kings cross so were able to get about London with ease and also near the main stations it was easy to get off home.

I emailed ahead as I was proposing to my now fiancée and yannis replied saying to leave any decorations to them. Hussain did a fabulous job and was a great host.

You get a code to enter the room which was sent prior to check in all was very easy and smooth. We left our bags at the Melvin hotel and they had moved them to our room for us on arrival.

Definetly recommend anyone to this little gem.

It was an excellent stay relative to what you would usually expect in London. Rooms are tiny and cramped for £200 - but it’s typical for London unfortunately.

In spite of this, major compliments to the staff for being very personable and responsive. Further appreciate the complimentary chocolates and drinks in the mini bar all of which were free. They also left a very personalised and thoughtful note and gift on the bed (a bottle of strawberry jam but unfortunately I couldn’t take it with me) which was really appreciated . Complimentary towel and shampoo and soaps are also in the room and the entire townhouse is tastefully furnished and decorated.

Would return but hopefully I just got the prices on a really bad day as I booked it on the same day :(

Loads of great pubs and bars nearby as well and conveniently located opposite St Pancras / King’s Cross .
