The Wellesley is a lovely boutique hotel. The room I stayed in (201) was beautifully appointed. The bathroom floors have radiant heat and a full size hair dryer is provided. The staff is extremely accommodating. The only issue was that there is a cigar bar that is located on the first floor and the ventilation is not sufficient and as a result the the odor permeates the bar and restaurant in the evening .

This luxury hotel is located in the Knightsbridge near Hyde Park Corner Tube station and a few minutes walk from the Hyde Park. It is also a short walk to Harvey Nichols, Harods and Victoria and Albert Museum.
The Oval Restaurant is where guests can dine, while the Crystal Bar and Cigar lounge have amazing atmosphere. Rooms are uniquely decorated with rich furnishings. A 24-hour butler service is available. A nightly turndown service is provided and housekeeping is offered daily. The staff performance was exceptional; butler, front desk, house keeping, and door men. WiFi was perfect in general.
I can say this Stay was one of my favourite in London.

Perfect!!! In a nutshell.
My wife and I have been fortunate to have stayed in some lovely hotels both in London and worldwide and the Wellesley is one of those gems.
The staff are courteous, extremely professional very friendly and meticulous in the finer details even presenting my wife with a bottle of champagne to celebrate.
The building is beautiful, spotlessly clean and just gorgeous.
We were lucky to receive a room upgrade looking across Hyde Park wow it didn't disappoint and for any cigar smokers, take a visit to the biggest humidor in Europe, it's breathtaking!
Many thanks to everyone at The Wellesley, we will be back.

Prominently selfstyled a luxury collection hotel, the luxury was rather patchy. So near to be really good but lots of details let it down. Beautiful art deco rooms but plastic lamp shades and a tatty splintered coffee tray. Preset lighting modes only, all far too bright to relax, air conditioning turns itself off repeatedly so the room too hot to sleep. Breakfast service a disaster. Despite the insistence on booking to get in and out fast for Covid, slow service by clearly inexperienced staff meant we all sat there for ages unfed. No apparent knowledge that its wise to bring milk with the coffee not 10 mins later, or that the juice and fruit come before not with or after the cooked course. Eggs with the palest of yolks indicating the cheap battery hen provenance. Oh dear. We were on a deal but if I had paid full price I would have been fuming. Such a shame this hotel could be outstanding with just a little more effort. Unlikely to return

The Wellesley offers unmatched service with their incredible staff and simply perfect at every level.

We were booked to stay at The Wellesley for four (4) nights and ended up spending almost two (2) weeks at this gem in Knightsbridge.

I am super picky about everything and the team at this hotel did everything right. I could not find a fault to make note of.

From the check-in staff, concierge staff, the staff in the cigar lounge, the staff at breakfast, the chauffeurs, the butlers, the doormen, security and the housekeeping staff.

Just to mention a few names:
Niko, in the cigar lounge was so personable and professional. Thanks for the nice inventive cocktail.
Micheal at concierge was brilliant in finding us great dining experiences for lunch and dinner every single day.
There was a gentleman at the front desk who assisted us when we had an urgent medical scare at 3am. Thank you and forgive me for not remembering your name.
Chris, at front desk was always very helpful
The Italian lady at breakfast was always super bubbly. She changes your damp mood to a brilliant one when she greets you.

Absolute luxury and an authentic 5-star boutique hotel.

Thanks to everyone and the management team for a magical stay.

Boutique hotel in superb location in knightsbridge. Can literally walk to all attractions and restaurants/ shopping. They also provide individual transportation in a BMW 7 series to restaurants, shopping on demand.
Rooms are beautifully decorated, and the hotel only has 38 rooms so you get individual attention not experienced at any other large city hotel I have stayed at. Dedicated butler will bring you any amenities you need and will even unpack for you is you wish.
Richard, our concierge was unbelievable, when we arrived, he remembered each dinner reservation he had made for us 2 weeks prior.
Alice who served us breakfast every day, remembered which flavor yogurt we liked after day 1. They truly make you feel as if you matter.
Will definitely return next time I am in London.

Average luxury at best. The welcome at the door is kind and friendly. That was the best part of our stay. It stops there. As soon as you get to reception, the welcome become condescending. The rooms are okay, the Junior Suite no bigger than our friends’ double room. Water restocked sometimes once a day, sometimes twice, sometimes not at all. Breakfast below average at any standard- all four of us were underwhelmed by the taste of pretty much everything. And waiting 45 minutes for some French Toast is suboptimal, too. Location is great. Cigar lounge, too, though careful you don’t get charged the £55 minimum spend pp even if you’re a hotel guest. Average. Just really average.

Dear NCSFrankfurt_Germany, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback on your recent stay here at The Wellesley Knightsbridge. Naturally I am disappointed to hear that various elements of your stay did not live up to your expectations. Clearly there are some instances here where we as a team have let ourselves down and not delivered our usual high standards of service and for that I would like to apologise wholeheartedly. I will be sharing your feedback directly with our Head Chef so that he can monitor the breakfast service more closely in coming weeks to ensure that we consistently maintain our usual standards of service. I certainly understand that this in no way changes your experience and should you be in a position to return to The Wellesley in the future I know the team would relish the opportunity to make amends. If you do plan to return, please contact me directly (james@thewellesley.co.uk) so that I can personally oversee your reservation and ensure that we take the best possible care of you. Kind regards, James O'Keeffe Hotel Manager

How do I begin. Let' start with the doors. The doors to the rooms are heavier than my car. The bath towels weigh at least half that much. Those are two really, really good signs. But the staff really made our stay enjoyable. Richard and James at the concierge desk. David and David at the doors. I don't know how many rooms there are, and I assume they were booked during our stay, but it had such a deliciously uncrowded feel the whole time we were there. Like there were no other guests but us. The breakfast room was quiet and felt sunny. The papers were out for us to grab. There was a car frequently at our disposal to take us places. And the absence of a fitness room, perhaps the only flaw there, was compensated by the great location that gave way to sightseeing and shopping trips on foot that ran from 15,000 to 30,000 steps in a day. And to do some work outside of my room they allowed me to work in a closed dining room where they continued to ask if they could bring me anything to eat or drink. When we left, they replaced the water bottles in the airport car with cold ones. Anyone who considers this average isn't paying attention to what it offers.

My husband, son, and I checked into this hotel on the day of Queen Elizabeth’s funeral. Getting to the hotel ended up being very challenging, but the hotel staff went out of their way to help. Two staff members met us blocks from the hotel to help us find our way through the barricades and to help with our luggage through the crowds. All of the employees we interacted with throughout our stay were similarly helpful. The concierge had great recommendations for adult- and child-friendly restaurants, all in easy walking distance from the hotel.

While the employees are what really stuck out about this hotel, the room was also beautiful. It was luxurious, comfortable, spacious, and spotlessly clean. The room service menu offers several delicious pastas. We loved the location, as it was easy to walk to the Natural History Museum, Harrods, Hyde Park, Piccadilly, and more from it.

The only negative was that our room only had a shower, no bathtub. This wasn’t ideal with a young child, but not enough of an issue to prevent us from going back.

We’ve already booked a return stay and can’t wait!

Dear Jtp262, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us and for posting this wonderful review. We are delighted to learn that you had such a pleasant stay with us, especially during such a memorable and unique time as Her Majesty's, The Queen Elizabeth, funeral. We will certainly pass on your kind comments to the two gentlemen, Alexander and Richard, who assisted you upon arrival through the barricades and the crowds and also the rest of the team who made your stay a special one by ensuring your family had a wonderful time in London. The Wellesley team really goes above and beyond for our guests and I am most proud to receive your feedback. We are pleased to know you enjoyed our location, our well-appointed and spotlessly clean rooms and the Food and Beverage offering. We also appreciate your feedback regarding the shower-only room, we will ensure to allocate one room with a bathtub on your next stay. The team and I are thrilled to learn you have already booked a return stay with us and we all look forward to welcoming you and your family back in April. Very small room
Bed not comfortable
Room ceiling height less than 200 cm only!!!
Air conditioning vents in front of the face while you sleep.

The price of our room is 760 pounds. We asked them to change the room according to the picture and specifications, and they were refused, unless we pay an additional 200 pounds to take a larger room.

I suggest that this room 603 be for children and not for adults.

Dear saadik1, Thank you taking the time to share your experience with us. I was however most disappointed to learn of the shortcomings you experienced during your stay with regards to the room allocated to you. Due to the historic nature of The Wellesley, our rooms feature different layouts, size and ceiling heights depending on their location in the building. The room category you booked, Deluxe Queen room, comprises of two accessible rooms (wheelchair users) and one non-accessible with a different layout which picture is not displayed online. I do understand your concerns that the layout and the height of this room were not to your satisfaction therefore we attempted to meet your requirements by offering two upgrade options at greatly reduced rates. Unfortunately due to your room being booked on the same day of arrival on a period of extremely high demand prevented us for having the opportunity to offer other room with a different size or layout on a complimentary basis. I realise that this does not detract from your experience on this occasion and for that please accept my sincere apologies. Should you have the occasion to return please do not hesitate to contact me directly at pdafonte@thewellesley.co.uk prior to your arrival so that I may personally oversee your reservation to ensure that all of your expectations are indeed exceeded this time. Thank you once again for bringing this matter to my attention. Sincerely Kind regards. Pablo Dafonte Front of House Manager

I recently spent 6 nights here and overall the hotel was nice. I was in a suite and would suggest that it was average (you can read my review on TA). It overlooked Hyde Park but it did not have a balcony. The Lanesborough is right next door and I have stayed there pre pandemic and I feel it had a greater "wow" feel to it (and the price point reflects that as well). My biggest issue with the Wellesley was the cigar smoking. Fully understand that their clients like it but I found it an annoyance.
