The Pillar Hotel London is a 4* boutique hotel, comprising 56 luxury bedrooms and versatile conference facilities ideal for ceremonies or events. The building dates back to 1893 and stands in 2 acres in the centre of Hendon in North London, boasting a beautiful green garden around the whole hotel. The Pillar Hotel has successfully kept the history and old-fashioned Victorian charm but with an added contemporary design and style that the modern traveller expects. All rooms have a 32" LCD television with satellite channels, hypoallergenic pillows & duvets and the Pillar Hotel signature bed. All this combined delivers a uniquely luxurious Hendon/Golders Green/Wembley hotel. Though we are one of many hotels in London, our overall quality and beautiful surroundings make us unlike any other. Attractions just minutes away include Hampstead Heath, Middlesex University, Kenwood House, RAF Museum, Alexandra Palace and Barnet Copthall the famous home of Saracens.

Property's Favourite Review
We just completed our summer vacation and spent a week at The Pillar Hotel. We had an amazing time.
The rooms were clean, modern, roomy. The location was amazing (especially if you are kosher). The hotel was classy and have everything you need.
The staff was very helpful from beginning to end. The (kosher) breakfast was delicious and filling. There was room
around the hotel to relax and read in quiet. They have a room with constant free snacks and drinks (until late at night).
For those who are kosher and need Sabbath meals, they were very accommodating. (They set up a
a beautiful Shabbat table and provided refrigeration and a hot plate for the meals.).
We absolutely loved staying there and would recommend anyone to stay there. You will love it.

This place is a hidden gem. I spoke several times with Hakim before booking, and it was a real pleasure to get such friendly and efficient help. We were concerned about road noise, and asked for rooms at the back. We could not hear anything! Every single member of staff we came across was friendly, pleasant and accomodating. They only serve breakfast, but were happy to let guests eat takeaway in the dining room for other meals. My only criticisms are that the wifi was either lousy or not working (which is an even bigger problem when there is also bad cell reception) and that the room (even though we had an executive) was cramped. Very comfortable bed, nice bathroom, generous quantity of quality smellies.

+1
We had one night stay, we were blown away by the location being so close to the amenities and also the beautiful building. The staff were very helpful and bent over backwards to accommodate us. My wife asked for decaf tea which they didn’t have but by the time we got back to our room after going out for a meal they had left a whole box of decaf tea in our room. The room was lovely but on the downside my wife’s pillow was very lumpy could’ve done with a better quality one. Having said that, top marks for everything from the breakfast to the helpful staff.

We booked day before, were told we could view available rooms and choose. On arrival the receptionist was very unfriendly, begrudgingly showed us rooms, which we didn't like sand did not justify £275 a night. While we were waiting in reception a guest complained about a problem in his room. We decided to leave; but we were not told would we be charged anyway. Afterwards found out that hotel took £275 off my card. I complained to the hotel and explained all the above and requested refund - not one bit sympathetic - no good will. My opinion: money grabbing rip off

The Pillar turned out to be many times better than expected. In a converted old monastery, a listed building full of character, but with up-to-date bathrooms and super soft towels. . The staff were amazingly helpful, even lent me 5 pounds to pay for the taxi as I did not have enough sterling currency on arrival. Sumptuous breakfast. There is no restaurant for mid day meals but snacks and hot drinks provided free of charge all day long. They provided a hot plate and urn for Shabbat meals that we bought in ourself. The location couldn’t be better in relation to Hendon, Golders Green, Brent Cross Mall, all within walking distance.

Charming, comfortable hotel. Rooms set around a grassy courtyard. Immaculately clean. Staff polite and helpful. Coffee, tea and cold drinks available all day. These are in the lounge which is off the Courtyard... So when returning from a hot, tiring day of sightseeing, one can revive yourself before going to your room.

Great communication via email, during booking for my wife’s graduation nearby. On arrival we were fortunate enough to have a room upgrade because of the special occasion.
Spacious room in the actual top Pillar part. The room had a microwave, fridge with a ice box which was really handy for the cool bag ice blocks.
Massive bed which was well comfy.
Staff were really attentive and accommodating.
Thankyou all for everything.

Overpriced, false advertisement due to wrong television which has ruined my birthday weekend chilling out which staff didn’t even try to resolve absolutely disgusted. Before displaying how good you are and putting antique vehicles outside the front maybe sort the service out to fit the customers needs. Won’t be staying here again.

Wonderful hotel. The rooms are beautiful, the staff is courteous and the ambiance was lovely. There was just one major issue. We were a family of 12 adults and we were there from overseas for a wedding. It's a kosher hotel, so you would assume they expect Sabbath observers. Shabbos was over at around 10:00. We were socializing quietly in the lobby but it seems there's a curfew! At 11:00 we all had to leave the lobby, which was then locked. We were told we can sit outside for a bit, but then we need to go to our rooms! This was completely unacceptable to all of us. We never heard of a hotel that doesn't have some sort of common area that is open to guests all day AND night! Since we were jetlagged, being locked in our rooms from 11:00 pm was a punishing experience.
