The DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel London - Chelsea is often celebrated for its inviting ambiance, modern decor, and exceptional service that adds to its charm. Its central location near public transport is a boon for sightseers, though views on value diverge, with some guests considering it a London steal while others question the cost. While rooms are typically found to be clean and contemporary, noise and cleanliness can occasionally disappoint. The amenities are modern and convenient, yet guests have noted some inconsistencies with housekeeping and breakfast. Overall, the hotel's service and cleanliness receive high marks, with the staff's friendliness standing out.

Stayed here this weekend and was astonished by the lobby of the hotel - it looked so amazing, beautiful decoration of the walls, showing ancient pictures of London, I recognised Chelsea Flower Show and St. Paul’s cathedral, St.James’s Park and Kew Gardens that are located in the area so close to the hotel! I was very impressed by the lobby of the hotel, a pleasant atmosphere with an updated interior, as well as fresh flowers bouquet at the reception - everything creates the atmosphere of comfort and home. We were pleasantly surprised by the reception staff - they carefully offered their help, quickly and successfully checked us in, in general Bani made a positive impression during check-in - she told us the information we were interested in, professionally conducted the check-in, was polite and proactive. The room was spotlessly clean, the staff of the housekeeping department was at the highest level!

The Doubletree brand by Hilton is a more economical option but this hotel delivered not only on price but on everything else.
Hotel is only 50 yards from the train station giving you access to the rest of London via overground and underground services, bus routes are also nearby.
This was a short stop over trip as we were attending nearby Stamford Bridge football ground for a Chelsea game.
Check in was quick friendly and efficient.
Room was decent size, warm clean and welcoming.
Double bed was not king size but it was comfortable and gave us a good sleep.
Bathroom, was compact clean and adequate, with the shower over the bath.
We were room only so cant comment on the food offerings but we did use the lobby bar and again the staff were friendly and helpful, drinks were also good and average price for London.
So overall would have no hesitation in useing this comfortable hotel again.

The hotel room was a little cramp (for a family of 4) without much living area or bathroom space. We had a single room with two twin beds on the 4th floor. This is a "very British" hotel (...no frills - no gym or business center). My room was clean and the staff/service was very good. Very helpful with information, tours, traveling and room service. The hotel is not a new construct nor modernized. It has mileage in a reasonable way. The view is not good as the area is mostly commercial but it appears to in the mist of modernization with new residential buildings around. It is a short overground ride to Central London. There is a train station (Imperial Wharf) just right around the corner and Chelsea FC is appx 15/20 min walk away. There is even a very good Lebonese restaurant (somewhat pricey) nearby and is a short walk away (opens Xmas). They have a cheaper take our shop next door but no eating area. Overall, I had a very good experience and I recommend this hotel for your trip.

Dear ylecoyoteesq Thank you for taking the time to post on your review of your recent visit to us here in Chelsea. I am really happy to see that the service provided by the team was so great and helpful as well as the room cleanliness also being so good. Great to also see that you enjoyed our location here at Imperial Wharf - having the train station around the corner does make travel into and around the city very easy whilst the local area is quiet as we are out of the hustle and bustle of the centre. To see that you would recommend us is wonderful - we hope to hopefully see you back with us here in Chelsea when you are next back in London Kindest regards Anthony Barrett General Manager

Booked myself for two nights, due to have business in the area. Received a call a night before in regards to my booking to ensure I was staying at the hotel for a valid reason due to the UK lockdown. Whilst on the phone call the person confirmed my notes about needed a late check out which was appreciated.

Whilst checking in, two front desk ladies were there. Also received a cookie and asked if I wanted a bottle of water when checkin in.

I want to say thank you to Nefrin, I believe her name is and her colleague. Very helpful throughout my stay.

Wifi was strong, was given a room on the 5th floor which is their HiltonHonours floor. Bathroom in the room was a bit old fashioned which is why I would have reservations staying there again unless I needed too. A bath curtain in 2021??
Room was spacious. Head Bedboard was definitely wear and tear. Tv is very small, if need a big tv id suggest another hotel or most Hampton By Hilton Hotels.

Tesco express is literally across the road which is good and many fast food delivery can deliver to the hotel.

I had parked my car on the side roads, parking is free on Saturday afternoons and all day Sunday so parking in the car park isn't needed if staying over the weekend.

Overall a decent stay, thank you to the staff.

This was my first hotel stay at this hotel; transport connections to the Hotel are very limited, although it is very close to imperial wharf overground station. Sadly the hotel is definitely not up to the standard I have come to expect from Hilton. I certainly was not appreciated as a diamond member. I received an indifferent welcome from reception at check in given the signature cookie and although as a diamond member I am entitled to 2 bottles of water I was told none was available. The quality of the rooms is perhaps more akin to a Garden Inn rather than a 4 star hotel. They are equipped with A/C, TV, and a Kettle for tea & coffee facilities, with bath & shower. My room was clean but the box with face tissues in the bathroom was nearly empty, the bed dipped in the middle, and the walls are like paper you can hear everything from the adjacent room, the banging of other room doors and noise from guests in the corridors make it impossible to get a good night sleep. The a/c in my room was defective and noisy. I had to call reception as the TV did not work and there was no plug for the bath. (This was sorted) The breakfast is a buffet service very average, the coffee more like ditch water certainly not what you would expect from a 4 star hotel. Not the kind of service I have come to know from Hilton. The wifi in my room was slow, but adequate for emails etc. What is currently being offered by the Hotel is certainly not good value for money.

Myself and my family stayed at the DoubleTree Hilton In Chelsea for one night in December. We booked a room with 2 double beds which was great as a family room usually comes with a sofa bed.

We booked the room through bookings.com and paid £271. This included a buffet style breakfast. I thought this was a pretty good price considering the location and type of room.

The room itself was of a decent size with 2 double beds, a large wall mounted TV, storage, safe etc. The bathroom was also of a decent size with a over bath shower and all the features you would expect of a hotel bathroom. The room and bathroom were mostly clean apart from a few cleaning product marks in the bathroom, but nothing worth reporting.

The location of the hotel is very close to a tube station which is great for travelling into London. I would not recommend visiting the hotel by car though. The area which the hotel is in is surrounded by restrictions which made it very confusing as to which way to go without getting fined. I eventually called the hotel to ask for directions, but that was not straight forward . I was given 3 different routes, but after speaking to the on duty manager I was given the correct route. There is parking close by which was £35 for 24hrs. This can only be accessed if you call the hotel upon arrival as they need to get the barrier raised and take details of your vehicle.

On the Evening we used the onsite restaurant. The food was of a good quality and reasonably priced. The service was prompt and polite. At the time of visit the Bar was under renovation so we didn't get to use it.

Overall a pleasant experience once the stress of actually getting there was over.

Would I stay again? Not sure.

Hi 324AlexC, Thank you for taking the time to share a detailed review, much appreciated. Hope you had a great new year. I am pleased to see that the room was suitable for you and that you had a comfortable stay with us. I am happy to advise that our Bar refurbishment has been completed, it is looking great, so hoping you can visit soon to see the new space. Sorry to understand your difficulty in arriving, that is correct there is a restricted road, but glad the team were able to guide you on the available road. Please note we are also next door to Imperial Wharf overground and close to other transport links if this is more suitable for you for future visits. Thanks again and hope to see you again soon.

Having stayed here many times I have always enjoyed my stay. However most recently I feel more attention should be paid to the cleanliness in the hotel, during my stay I found metal and other things in the bulb in my light, very dangerous and shows housekeeping are not properly checking the rooms (I’ve attached a photo as what ever it was is someone else’s guess as good as mine). The rooms are meant to be covid as arises prior to your entry but i have serious doubts about that now. Staff are generally helpful and nice but it’s a shame that the cleanliness wasn’t what was expected. Breakfast was cold on the first day but nice and hot on the second so I guess it depended on what time you went to eat.

This is my first stay at the Doubletree Chelsea and I was made very welcome and cared for staff here especially Rosella on reception desk. She ensured my stay was comfortable by personality choosing a room that was modern with very care especially with a large shower which I like having in a room.

So if you are looking for a great hotel in Chelsea or near to look no further than the Doubletree and ask for Rosella and if not other staff there a very friendly and helpful. In fact it is one of the friendliest hotels/Hilton’s I’ve stayed in.

Thanks guys

This was the first time I ever had a chance to stay at such a Premium feel hotel in my lifetime, it was also the first time I had stayed for a few nights directly in London, there was a major Football fixture aka The Carabao Final that took place between Liverpool and Chelsea, I needed somewhere to stay that wasn't too far out from Wembley and this came up at a rather reasonable price.

I had travelled down overnight and was absolutely exhausted, upon entering the hotel I was greeted by the rather wonderful and lovely TommyLee, TommyLee went above and beyond to find out if it was ok for me to check in a little early, when this was possible I was really appreciative and grateful to be able to check in a little bit earlier due to being absolutely shattered from my overnight journey. If there is anyone who deserves a Promotion within this hotel it is most certainly TommyLee, very friendly, warm and welcoming. Thank You 😊

The room itself was just fantastic, very spacious, it had a really decent Samsung TV which I will admit I was hoping could have been a little bit louder due to it being capped at 15, however I understand this is most likely due to not disrupting other guests etc.. which I can completely understand. The Bathroom/Shower was one of the best I had ever seen to be honest, all essentials were provided in regards to having a wash. The bed was really nice and comfy, the pillows and duvet could have been a little bit better as felt the quality was not quite there however these were just minor hiccups which I did not let affect my stay here.

In conclusion? The hotel was just absolutely brilliant, the location was very handy due to it being right next to the Imperial Wharf Railway Station so for convenience it is absolutely ideal. Breakfast is available for purchase at the hotel but please bear in mind this will cost in excess of at least £20+ if you wished to purchase it.

If I had a chance to stay here again? I absolutely would. Highly Recommended.

Had a 2 night stay with my wife and daughter, only paid £88 a night which was a very good price, reception staff were very friendly and the lobby was really clean.
Room again was really clean but very dated, carpet was threadbare and the leather on the headboard had degraded and was falling off, not really a deal breaker for me due to The Rona hitting hoteliers in the pockets very hard.
Decided to have a breakfast on the last day and it was up to the usual high Hilton standards for the small price of £10pp which I ate in bacon alone!
Although not my usual choice of being more central it was only a stop on the over ground (which is 2 mins away), a stop on the District line and then you are on the Piccadilly that takes you into town, the travel didn't bother me and a couple of times we took the Uber boat into town which was nice.
In all a very good stay and would do it again.
