When in London, stay at a hotel as famous as Buckingham Palace (but without those pesky corgis). No offense to Buckingham Palace, though – we are good neighbours. Drop off your suitcase at citizenM London Victoria Station and go wave at the Beefeaters (trust us, they love it), try on some outrageous outfits on Carnaby Street, and find the Seven Noses of Soho. After all this, your eyes will need a rest. It's a good thing you booked the most comfortable bed in London. Kick back in our designer living room filled with inspiring art, books and cosy Vitra furniture for relaxing, reading or surfing the superfast free Wi-Fi. Reach out to the 24/7 canteenM kitchen for good food, great cocktails and our famous breakfast. Upstairs, our Vitra-filled bedrooms are ultra-clean for your peace of mind. Enjoy going from the amazing shower to an even better XL king-size bed to watch free movies (or stream your own entertainment) on the smart TV via the superfast free Wi-Fi. Download our app for a touch-free contactless experience in the room (and the hotel) - or use the bedside MoodPad tablet. Our hot & cold breakfast buffet comes with unique local treats, familiar favorites, and healthy options for everyone — including vegans and vegetarians. Pile your plate with warm pastries, scrambled eggs, fresh fruit, and more.

Nestled in a prime location near Victoria Station, citizenM London Victoria Station garners acclaim for its modern and quirky atmosphere, with many guests enamored by the hotel's stylish decor and innovative in-room technology controlled via iPads. Though the high-tech rooms are celebrated for their functionality, some reviewers have called out their compact size. The friendly service stands out, despite a few hiccups, and while opinions on value vary, the overall cleanliness and quality amenities receive high marks, even with a few mentions of missing in-room kettles.

CitizenM is still my first choice wherever I go. However, they used to offer free movies in rooms and were proud they avoid all the usual BS hotels do. They are going the wrong way. The latest disappointment is using charity as an excuse to boost profits. They are now asking guests to give up their prepaid room cleaning in return for a measly 3€ in a form of a donation for Africa. This is mean and dishonest. I’m fine with donating, but only if you donate the entire cost of cleaning my room (maybe even adding some of hotel’s money so I’m not the only one giving), not only donating a small fraction while pocketing the rest.
You are better than that!

We loved our experience at Citizen M London. The breakfast buffet is delicious, the best rolls and bread around! It was well worth the price. The hot meats and eggs were great. In the evening, the bar is open for snacks, coffee/tea and alcohol. The staff there....wow! Alex (Alec sp?) was so very helpful. His suggestions for places to eat were spot on. He truly seemed interested and helpful.

The room itself is small. The bathroom isn't a separate room, it's an area blocked off with a plastic barrier, so your roommate can see the lighting and hear everything in there. However, the water was hot, the shower had several settings and the provided shampoo was luxurious.

The bed itself is placed up against 2 walls at the ends, and the window on one side. I was concerned I'd feel closed in, but I didn't. The mattress was incredibly comfortable. I had no trouble going to sleep. The room itself was very quiet, even though it faced a busy street.

We appreciated the plug in for US electrical items, and the plug-ins for electronic devices. The housekeeper comes by every 3 days, but we could ask for additional cleaning or linens.

The location was VERY convenient to Buckingham Palace, the Victoria Station, several little shops and restaurants and 2 live theaters. A Catholic cathedral was nearby. The shopping area in Victoria Station was very, very convenient and had numerous places to shop and eat. We definitely recommend the transit system, it was economical and we felt very safe.

We are planning another trip to London in a year or two and will definitely stay here again.

My wife snd I had a wonderful time at the Victoria Station Hotel. The location ist perfect: Buckingham Palace and all major points of interest are either a few minutes walk or a few minutes drive with the tube or bus away. The room design is intelligent, providing you with all essentials and the latest technology that a hotel room can offer. The bed is perfectly cozy and you will feel like sleeping in heaven. There is a fridge which you can use too cool your own drinks, snacks (no minibar!). There is the possibility of a breakfast which looked delicious, but we have eaten elsewhere as the surrounding provides you with plenty of cafes, bars, restaurants and even a little supermarket which is just one minute away. Ohr tipp: the Stone & Grill Restaurant Victoria which offers you the best Italian food for reasonable prices. If we ever should visit London again, we will definitely stay here another time! You will not regret it :-)

We have just come home from a fabulous week at the citizenM London Victoria Station. The staff were exceptional and extremely helpful throughout our stay. My daughter and I always felt safe and welcome.
The reception/ lounge/ bar area is fabulous. Such a clever space - loads of room to work or just relax with friends. We always felt welcome and spent time people watching/ playing cards or looking at the fabulous books. The staff made us feel like part of their family.
The rooms were great and I will try to address some of the points raised in other reviews. The beds are enormous! Some people have said that it is a problem that the beds have a wall on 3 sides, as someone has to climb over. That is not a problem at all as the bed is so big but, as suggested in the app, it is possible to sleep either way, so you can turn 90% and then neither has to climb over the other.
There is a small fridge in the drawer in the vanity unit which is very useful.
The vanity unit/ sink is in the main room and not in the bathroom but we found this useful as I could shower whilst my daughter put on her makeup etc.
There is a huge drawer under the bed for storage, along with a hanging rail. We had a large suitcase with lots of clothes and there was plenty of room.
We were able to cast programmes from our phones to the TV which meant we could watch Disney+ and Netflix.
Check in and check out were so easy, and the app that controls the room is very great. We were able to control the lights, mood, lighting colour, TV, room temperature and ventilation from our phones (although they also provide a tablet).
We will certainly be back - we have stayed in a number of hotels in this price range but this is by far the best!
PS - this is not a paid review. My views are my own.

I planned a trip to London for the first time in May 2023, including a 6-day stay at the citizenM Victoria Station. I enjoyed the cleanliness, technology (e.g., control room lights, windows, and shades from a mobile app), and environmentally conscious aspects of the hotel.
The rooms are tiny - I didn’t mind as the bed was large and comfortable and the blackout shades were great. Probably not very comfortable for 2 people unless they are an intimate couple. There is not much closet space and only one drawer for storage.
The majority of the staff were quite friendly Malachi was fantastic and helped with great suggestions for things to do in the city (he was “on loan” from the London Bridge hotel location).
Unfortunately, one bad experience at the end of my visit has left me determined to avoid staying at a citizenM hotel in the future.
One of the primary reasons I chose this hotel was the 24/7 bar/lounge service. Visiting London on a 6-hour time difference, it was wonderful to stay in my timezone during my entire visit and this feature helped accommodate that. At 5 am (11 pm my time) on 5/14/23, I brought a family member to the hotel bar/lounge so we could have a late snack before ending our trip and parting ways. We had done the same thing the two nights prior and very much appreciated the routine.
I was denied service (quite rudely) and told the bar/lounge area always closes at 2 am. Mind you I noted we had no problem waiting if they were busy. I explained that I had been there (same time) the two nights prior as served AND pulled up their website AND scanned the food menu QR code (on the bar) to show that all of these noted 24/7 food and drink were available. I asked them to confirm they were refusing to provide service…. and they did. I asked to speak with the manager and was told there was no manager on duty. I tried to walk a bit and find a place to get a quick takeout meal. Nothing was open.
I also tried to reach out to the hotel’s 24/7 chat functionality. They were not able to help with the situation and simply provided an email to send a request for assistance.
Later that morning, I located and spoke with the manager on duty, Alex, in the lobby. Alex confirmed their lounge/bar is, in fact, always open for food/drink 24/7 and that they also always have a manager on duty (ironically, the manager who was on duty when I was denied service was sitting right next to Alex and I while we spoke. I let Alex know, in front of her, that I had seen her dip into the kitchen when I asked to speak with a manager after being denied service).
Alex was very receptive to my feedback and apologized (as expected and warranted). He noted he would also give some thought to a way they could make this right for me and get back to me. I haven’t heard anything yet.
I had enjoyed my stay until that final horrible experience, especially given how much I spent on my stay, The other perks and benefits were irrelevant by comparison.

Response from Francesco Laera, Owner at citizenM London Victoria Station

Hello there citizen, First of all thank you for sharing your experience about your stay. What a pity that this is referring to a stay of almost 9 months ago as we could have definitely helped you differently and recall better the time as we love feedback as they help us to grow. With regards to the episode that have happened from what we can see, indeed it looks like the information was not shared properly. We at all times offer 24/7 food and drinks however, we can see now that on that night looking at our records one of our night team member had an emergency situation and that meant that the night team on duty could not support 24/7 with food or drinks. As you mentioned Malachi on loan from the Bankside location was there to support as well. The message was definitely not shared to you in the right way and we are definitely sorry for this as we can imagine it made you change the plans and we are sure that this was an unfortunate event that will not happen again. Once again thank you for the understanding and sorry if my colleague did not follow up with you immediately as we should have. Safe Travels, citizenM team

Very good for the single traveller or travelling on business. Rooms are a little long and narrow but well laid out with aircon, iPad control for lights and blinds, comfy beds, excellent Wifi and reasonable storage. Good shower and body wash too. No coffee or tea making facilities in the rooms but a much better 24hr bar in the lobby which makes great coffees etc. Breakfast was good too. Compared to the conference hotel nearby that was overbooked this was £150 cheaper and overall, I was impressed. If you are planning to visit as a couple be aware that the bed is right up against the window so one of you will need to climb over the other to get out of bed. It's a nice bed though. Help was on hand immediately when needed from friendly human beings at the efficient automated checkin and checkout. Being greeted by Howdy Citizen <insert your name here> is a bit quirky and probably not to everyone's taste. It grows on you though if you let it!

High-tech, comfy and fun hotel full of thoughtful details, from the cute notes on the shampoo bottles to the allergen info on every breakfast item. Every staff member I met was so friendly and helpful, and the breakfast, although a bit pricey (17 euros) was amazing and worth the price. For anyone traveling to London for a short vacation, the location is ideal and a walkable distance from big attractions like the Buckingham Palace, the V&A, the Big Ben, and Westminster Abbey. I wished I could stay longer and would absolutely book again!

Ideal location from which to explore London, It's possible to walk to many of the most popular attractions, and close to Victoria Station if you do need to access public transport. The rooms are well-appointed, have comfortable furnishings, and decent sound insulation. The comfy bed and blackout shade really helped to ensure a good-nights-sleep. I'm usually not a fan of "smart rooms," but the tablet system here was simple to use, and functioned well. I especially appreciated having controls for the lights and the climate control next to the bed. Lastly, I want to commend the staff. Every staff member I interacted with from the front desk to the maintenance staff was pleasant, professional, and helpful.

This is one of the citizenM hotels. They are fun places with big, comfortable public spaces to hang out in, with food, great bar, fabulous breakfasts, etc. This one was open 24/7, nice for the workaholic insomniacs. The rooms are fashionable, a bit smaller than some, but so well designed to have space for everything, including a drawer/safe under the bed, and a mini mini fridge. If you use the space well, it’s pretty comfy.

The Tube and Victoria station are up the block. London busses stop right in front. Chelsea is a 10-12 minute walk out the door to the left. Sights are also very close by, including Buckingham Palace, Parliament/Big Ben, London Eye, etc. What you can’t walk to is a short Tube ride, in the same travel zone, which works to your advantage, in terms of budget. They’re also at the end of the Gatwick Express (Victoria Station) which saves you a bunch of money. Heathrow is a mess and transit is always very dear. Nordic Air, Norwegian, Easy Jet, and RyanAir all hit Gatwick. Which is great because citizenM, likewise provides you a quality stay without emptying your pocket. I got two great rooms for about half of what I would pay an equally quality hotel.

Bed were firm but very comfortable.

Only complaint was housekeeping was on holiday that week, and the temp staff weren’t very good. One room had a dirty bathroom, which they never came to fix. The other was clean, but we needed bath soap, which turned into four days before someone could figure out how to get it to our room.

Everything in the room runs off of a small iPad. Lights were a breeze, although getting rid of the hot pink light in the shower, by turning the color wheel, took a bit of getting used to. TV was pretty easy to use.

Minor annoyances. We enjoyed the public spaces and the rooms throughly.

Located less than 5 min walk from London Victoria tube, overground and bus terminal, the hotel is in a great location.

Food options are within east walk all and the London tourist sights are easily accessible as are theatres.

Whilst the hotel setup might not be to everyone’s taste, funky LED lighting in the bathroom pod makes a refreshing change to often dull hotel rooms.

Can’t really fault this venue with the price point being pretty good for a central London stay, and this is also the second CitizenM we’ve stayed in, so they must be doing something right, it won’t be our last stay either!!
