We had the most fantastic long weekend staying here. The decor is absolutely beautiful, very modern and well thought out in terms of accessibility. I didn’t encounter any problems with access, as a wheelchair user, the corridors were wide, there was so much SPACE and just lovely to explore. Although we didn’t use the gym downstairs, it was fitted out with everything you could possibly want or need.

We stayed in the Accessible studio apartment and it was stunning. I’ve never stayed anywhere that thought about design AND accessibility. It did not look like a hospital room (like many disabled access hotel rooms do), but instead like a show room.

There were emergency cords where needed, the bathroom was enormous with plenty of space to wheel about. It was kitted out with an entire SMEG kitchen which as a really nice touch, wheel under sinks, fridge, dishwasher etc. Eric made sure we had everything we needed, including dishwasher tablets, fairy liquid, and when we ran out of milk and coffee, within seconds of me asking via WhatsApp, Eric was at the door with what we needed.

The bedroom was perfect, huge comfy bed at a good height with TV to relax after a busy day, lots and lots of storage which we appreciated and little treats like biscuits and nespresso pods to just give it that extra touch.

The view was beautiful. You can spot lots of the famous sights from the rooms large window, including the Shard, Gherkin, Tower Bridge etc. and all of the heating, lights, blinds etc are controlled by little electric panels on the walls with buttons - felt very cool! We ordered room service on one night and it was lovely - lots of choices and very well priced - much cheaper than a deliveroo and organic/local produce too.

The location was brilliant. Just off the main road but as it’s so well insulated we couldn’t hear a thing even with the Chinese New Year celebrations going on. It’s about a 10 minute walk from the apartment which was great.

Thank you Eric, Julia and Luis! You made our stay so enjoyable and we will definitely be back.

Emily and Ricardo

My experience with this apartment hotel was fantastic. I would like to call out these distinct advantages with this stay -

Conveniently located and has some good restaurants and shops in close proximity but at the same time, it will not make a serious dent in your pocket.

New and sparkingly clean property. Rooms are well equipped with a cooktop, oven, cooking utensils, dishes, and cutleries. It also has a dish washer and fridge neatly stacked under your cooking counter. Fantastic wifi and tv. and has great breakfast options as well.

The staff is polite and very friendly. A big shout out to Augustc and Lazarus who ensured I have a pleasant stay.

I think you have all the right reasons to book a stay here and I would highly recommend this for people who are moving to the UK and are looking for an initial stay until you find something for yourself.

I cannot fault anything about this hotel. The room was lovely. The beds were extremely comfortable. The decor was nice and modern. There was both milk and water in the fridge, coffee capsules and tea bags, and small wrapped treats. We really appreciated the fact that there was wooden flooring in the room because it's much more hygienic than a carpet. The aircon worked really well and wasn't at all noisy.

Also worthy of mention are the staff. Each person we talked to was extremely friendly and helpful. An effort was even made to find a room for us even though we arrived far too early to check in and just wanted to leave our luggage until later. That was much appreciated.

The only thing we maybe weren't so thrilled about was the immediate area around the hotel. Our room looked onto what I would call a derelict building. But it wouldn't stop us from staying here again. You're only a few minutes walk away from the nearest tube station and that is a big plus. Also, we didn't feel unsafe walking on the nearby streets or anything like that.

Stayed in a studio room with my wife and 10 year old daughter for 10 days.
The room was quiet, comfortable, clean and modern.
There is no official front desk at the hotel, but there are helpful and welcoming staff members present in the lobby for any matters. There is also an option to contact them via whatsapp, their response is fast and efficient.
The hotel also has a small gym and washing facilities.
We ate breakfast in the lobby one morning. The meal consists of a small buffet and a main course which was very nicely served.

On the down side: the room is rather small. With both the double and single bed open, there was very little room to manouver around and barely room for 2 of us to have a meal at the small table. The double bed is very close to the window on one side which requires climbing into it from the far edge. This is clearly visible in the photos but we didn't take notice of it.

As for the location:
The Aldgate East tube station is about 500 meters from the hotel, the walk to the station takes a good few minutes. There is also a bus stop outside the hotel which was temporarily closed during our visit.
There are a few supermarkets in a relatively short distance from the hotel, but other than that, many closed shops on the street of the hotel and not much culinary options in the surrounding streets.
The sky garden is a 20 minute walk from the hotel and tower bridge is one tube stop away.

In our past visits to London we stayed in the Holborn area which was much more lively during the day and night, however, prices there this time were very high.
The Wilde Aparthotel was a nice and modern alternative, however, I think we may choose a different area for our next stay.

Extremely good value, well appointed rooms in a great location for exploring some great parts of London.

The note is right next to Aldgate East station so an easy trip on the District Line or Hammersmith & City Line into central London, or a short walk to Shoreditch and the City.

Our room was a corner room on the 9th floor with floor to ceiling windows so offered great views.

Strongly recommended based on the price which is extremely reasonable for London, and the location which while not attractive was extremely convenient for my needs

Hey Murkle, “I have the simplest tastes. I am always satisfied with the best.” – Oscar Wilde It was an absolute delight having you stay at your home from home. We appreciate you took the time leave such a lovely review too. We too love the location, we take pride in always having our finger on the pulse of the hottest new and emerging locations, making Aldgate Tower Bridge quintessential Wilde territory, as it’s one of London’s most interesting and exciting up-and-coming areas. We particularly love its proximity to the increasingly cool East End, with its thriving arts and culture scene. We look forward to welcoming you back again soon and are delighted you have become a raving fan.

We are so pleased to have found this gem. We picked it based on previous good reviews and for the fact that it was in the right area of London for what we needed for a weekend.
The rooms are very well designed. We had a one bed apartment so we could have a separate bedroom and Lou he area. The bedroom is tight but the bed is very comfortable with good quality cotton bedding. The kitchenette was useful with mugs, plates, wine glasses and even pots and pans if you were inclined to cook a meal. There was also a little dishwasher with tablets left to use and a cloth and washing up liquid so you don’t have to pack all of that. There is water and long life milk in the fridge. But we bought fresh milk from the corner shop opposite which was handy and seemed to stock a lot of food items. The whole apartment was well designed with good use of space and plugs everywhere so you could easily charge all your devices. It all felt quite new as well and certainly very clean. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. We didn’t pay for breakfast as the rest of our group wanted to eat at a local health food cafe up the road . But the hotel breakfast did look and smell good!
All in all we were very pleased and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

This was our first stop in the UK after a long haul flight from downunder. We timed our arrival for mid afternoon which gave us time to get our bearings and stock up for self catering.

Staff were very friendly and helpful and although we had checked in online before arriving we still found ourselves regurgitating the same information again above the music so I'm not sure we saved any time.

The facility is very new so everything feels fresh about the place. Its very clean too. Breakfast is served in the lobby everyday but we were self catering so can't comment on this. We did love the complimentary cookies and cake that were available to all guests during the day - a nice touch having something to have with a hot drink after being out exploring.

This hotel is close to everything East End has to offer. Brick Lane, Shoreditch and Spitalfields are close by and the tube is a short walk to take you everywhere else. There are some small supermarkets on the same street and a Tesco nearby.
The hotel is on a corner so go for a room facing the side street if noise is a problem for you.

The room itself was quiet and had everything you needed for a comfortable stay but here was too much furniture and stuff and we felt like we were climbing over each other for five days. There is a single sofa bed in there and it just takes up too much room - three people staying in that room would be bearable for one night only as there would be no where for luggage for a start. There is a king bed when a queen would suffice to free up a bit more room. There were dinky shelves on the walls that were only for display really as there was no width to put anything on.

The kitchen was good for cooking; there was a dishwasher, toaster and washing gear supplied and a tea towel, all items that were missing from the Gate Hotel up on the next block which we stayed at before flying home. It was a surprise that all of the snacks in the room were complimentary. There is a self service laundry down in basement; so handy in a pricey place like London.

As flagged we stayed at the Gate Hotel at the end of our trip. We got a bigger room but there was no toaster or dishwasher. A miniscule sink and no tea towel. A bit of a trade off really. I've reviewed this separately.

The people who furnished these rooms need to stay in them for a few days with luggage. Wanted to give this place four stars as there are alot of things to like but the space component was challenging for us.

We have three adults and this is one of the few five star hotels that allow 3 to stay in a room. We like the location as it is just five minutes walk to the train station and for those who can’t walk a lot there a bus station taking us to the station with 15, 115 and 135.
Buses also take us to the city Center stopping at London Tower and all the way to Charing Cross.
Staff here are super efficient. They respond to our requests at super fast speed making our stay very relax and comfortable.
The kitchen though small is very well equipped. With so many supermarkets nearby, we buy our daily breakfast and have very relaxing breakfasts in the apartment before we go out.
The bed is very comfortable certainly one of the best we have slept on.
We stayed here for a week and time passes so fast. We will definitely be back again when we come back to London.highly recommended for family and business stays.

Highly recommend this hotel for any extended stay in London. Kitchenette came in useful and helped save money on meals. Spacious room that was comfortable even with two weeks of luggage. Fitness center is small but well equipped. On site laundry was most useful and did NOT require cash. Great location just a short walk from the tube (Aldgate East) and bus lines (#15 into most attractions).

Staff were attentive and kind. Tia did a great job of storing our bags for no additional fee and getting us checked out on time. Be sure to take advantage of the free loyalty program; 10% off the room and a later checkout time as a member.

Will definately keep this at the top of the list of hotels to consider if I return to London.
