I had a great time here. It was lovely, especially the Portuguese restaurant that offers 10% off on food to guests staying here it was delicious. After a long day it was heaven to sleep on their beds so soft and clean, the manager Thelma gave us a bigger room on the top floor so kind also suggested loads of activities in the area which a all walking distance like sky garden, Liverpool Street market, Truman market it was a great tourist area really full of life

We were in London with family for our sons wedding at St Stephens church and reception at the Oyster Shed both of which were within walking distance af the hotel. The service we received was excellent which helped make a wonderful day excellent. The staff were extremely helpful getting extra towels and a travel cot when requested and the quality of the rooms and location of the hotel were just what we needed.

I recently stayed at Travelodge and I can not complain one bit, it’s located in such an amazing area close to literally everything.Gabriela at reception was more than helpful informing me and my partner of the closest attractions in the area as well as bars, theatre shows, sky garden, Barbican and more most of which are walking distance!! The room smelled nice and was very clean if we needed any extras it was available at reception, shower has body and hair soap with very good water pressure. Beds are very comfortable and spacious too. Overall great stay

The staff were lovely, there was a coffee machine in the lobby easy to check in and out. But there was also no hot water bed bugs broken toilets a noisy street and rarely anyone at the front desk.

I always go with Travelodge when I can, because you always get a consistent room and service. I have stayed in these hotels in Liverpool, Manchester, Wales, Greater London and never had an issue, always left feeling really good about my stay and recommending to others - continuing to book a Travelodge for my further trips.

Check in was as seamless as it always is at Travelodge and the staff lovely and welcoming. I got into my room and the room was a typical Travelodge room. The only issue was that the toilet wouldn’t flush properly.

On my first night I found a bed bug in my bed - there’s no doubt in my mind that it was a bed bug and I have several photos of it. The young lad on reception was lovely and didn’t make me feel like I was overreacting by asking to switch rooms and sorted me a new room there and then he is a credit to the hotel and one of the only reasons this isn’t a 1 star review.

The new room was nice, however there was rubbish from the previous guest still in the bin, less towels and the noise from the street was very loud. I had a shower before getting into bed as the bed bug situation left me feeling very unclean and uneasy. Only for the water to go ice cold at the end of my shower and the hot water wouldn’t return until the final day.

I tried to talk to a manager throughout my second and third day at the property- however the 7 separate time I went past the front desk there was nobody to be seen, much less a manager.

As of writing I haven’t received any correspondence regarding the bed bugs in my room, any apology, any compensation or any assurance that they will be deep cleaning the rooms or getting the fumigators in!

I always look for a Travelodge first whenever booking a trip, however there’s no way I’d be staying at this individual location again. Im not even sure I’ll be returning to Travelodge full stop!

We knew a Travelodge wasn’t going to be the height of luxury, the rooms were small but the location was good and all we needed was a base to sleep and wash.

Unfortunately we arrived at 3.20 and were told our room wasn’t ready. When we got in, the room was small but seemed well appointed.

It was only on closer inspection we realised it wasn’t especially clean.

There were beard shavings around the bathroom sink, the toilet was stained. When I went to use a towel it had three spots of blood on it, I showed an employee and asked for a replacement, whilst I was given one immediately she didn’t seem at all concerned about the towel that had blood on it nor apologetic.

We asked for a hairdryer and were told they had been removed from the room for “safety reasons” and so couldn’t help - even though website states they are available.

The shower was surrounded with a grubby shower curtain and the drains blocked so water overflowed from the tray and into the bathroom.

Definitely won’t be choosing a travelodge again!

I paid £115 per night to stay at the Travelodge near Bank in London. The room and bathroom were tiny, the basin so small just running the tap meant water slopped over the sides. No hairdryer in the room and none available through reception as, according to staff, guests are taking them home and no replacements brought in. No black out curtains. WiFi is an extra charge but the speed and connection are poor so not worth the price. ‘Budget’ is done so much better by other chains.

On arrival to the hotel the reception was empty and had to call a number displayed for the receptionist to arrive, the room was small, being a double bed room it was hard to move around and every step was greeted with a creaking floorboard, you can hear the other guests walking around and talking in the hallways. Only USB ports at the side of the bed. Our shower leaked and had water on the floor at first entry, the bathroom was ok but for the price we paid I expected a little more, its location is good though central to most things and short walks or short tube stops away from others, overpriced for what you get.

Came with my friends and stayed for 3 nights. If you are coming here be aware that this hotel does not offer breakfast as they only have a to-go box, if you are going out to eat I would recommend Wetherspoon which can be found inside, if familiar and affordable. It’s hidden in a little alley away from the busy streets, at night it still is quite busy and during the weekend it only gets busier so it’s a great location if you want to be close to the things in London but still want a good nights rest

Travelling for business and failed to meet the basics. Expect access to a steam iron to get ready for meetings, I had to track down an old electric iron and board via reception. No glasses in the room, my small water bottle didn’t fit under the tap and had to use a mug to siphon the water in. The bathroom only has a single soap dispenser, no shampoo, shower or conditioner.

If you’re on a break and want a cheap, basic place to crash for the night I’m sure you’ll be happy enough. If you need a bit more look elsewhere. The staff are great, friendly and accommodating but won’t be coming back

Telma and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. We loved our stay!
Very close to the city center, walkable to the Tower of London and near to subway and buses, the room was very nice , perfect to rest after so many hours of waking 😊 - we had breakfast: cereals a pan of chocolate, orange juice and a oat bar!
I would definitely repeat this place.
Thank you 🙏🏻

There's only limited storage in the staffroom - no dedicated bag store. So get your bag into reception as early as possible - even if you're checking out a bit later.

There are about 6 steps up to the lobby at the entrance, with a wheelchair lift. This area is not covered over so it would be awkward in rain or snow. I am guessing that you could access all rooms via the lift (which does not require your key pass to operate it). But I would advise a room on the ground floor in case of a fire. I think that it would be best to phone the company on 0371 984 6485 to discuss this.

Wife borrowed a hairdryer from reception on checkin no problems. Best to take a small pot of shower gel and shampoo as in room may not be to your liking although I used and was ok
