We were so looking forward to our stay in London so it was unfortunate that we were greeted at the hotel reception by insolent, discourteous staff. Our room was located in what we referred to as 'The Dungeon'. We were apparently an afterthought. The bed...More
Had a nice room and enjoyed our stay there, staff were helpful and the location excellant. Probably the only thing that disappointed us was our included breakfast. Supposed to be a continental breakfast but turned out we could only have cold breakfast cold meats and...More
Stayed in a room on floor 5, the lift stopped at floor 4! then we walked up with our cases!

Lovely hotel, a warm cozy atmosphere, lacking in many corporate hotels. Bar lounge area is comfy and staff are helpful.
Staff put on an early breakfast for our party as we needed an early start.
Rooms are cozy and well equipped.

If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are
highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.

Hi. The hotel does offer a laundry service. I know this because an item of clothing went missing from our room and we queried if the maid had taken it to the laundry by mistake. The manager said she hadn't and we never had the item of clothing returned to us, nor did the hotel replace or refund our loss.
I don't know about a supermarket.

The area this hotel is in is one of the nicest in London. It is a straight shot down a major street to get to and from the hotel to Victoria, there shouldn't be any fears what so ever with the area. Or to be honest, London as a whole for the most part. I stayed in this area of London for quite some time the last time I was there, one night at the Grange Rochester. Was out on the street walking between Victoria and locations in this area as early as 5-6am, and as late as 1-2am. Never had a single problem, or saw anything to worry about.
