We enjoyed our five night stay at the Grange Rochester. It was conveniently located and within walking distance of Victoria Station and underground. There are plenty of restaurants, bars and pubs in the area. Our ground floor room was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was...More
Even though the room was extremely cramped, that was relatively obviously going to be the case from the booking information. However, the condition of the bathroom (room 416, shower, toilet and tiny sink) was inexcusable. The shower cubicle doors were off their runners, the ceiling...More
Working in Whitehall and looking for a hotel under £200, my colleague told me to book here instead of the Strand Palace which was £15 less.
Room was tiny, poorly decorated with worn out furniture, tiny cupboard, no fridge and a safe not big enough...More
On the ground floor everything is well presented and comfortable. The room however was a grave disappointment. Small, cramped and very stuffy, it lacked any air conditioning other than a small fan. The decor was well past its best with frayed carpets, grubby walls and...More
Nicely decorated, clean. Very helpful staff. We were able to walk to many of the sites we wanted to visit. The restaurant on site was expensive but there were many places to eat within walking distance.

If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are
highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.

Hi. The hotel does offer a laundry service. I know this because an item of clothing went missing from our room and we queried if the maid had taken it to the laundry by mistake. The manager said she hadn't and we never had the item of clothing returned to us, nor did the hotel replace or refund our loss.
I don't know about a supermarket.

The area this hotel is in is one of the nicest in London. It is a straight shot down a major street to get to and from the hotel to Victoria, there shouldn't be any fears what so ever with the area. Or to be honest, London as a whole for the most part. I stayed in this area of London for quite some time the last time I was there, one night at the Grange Rochester. Was out on the street walking between Victoria and locations in this area as early as 5-6am, and as late as 1-2am. Never had a single problem, or saw anything to worry about.
