The JW Marriott Grosvenor House London garners commendation for its sophisticated atmosphere, complete with live piano music, and a myriad of amenities like an Executive Lounge and diverse dining options. While the service is often hailed as attentive, some guests note occasional lapses. The hotel's prime location near Hyde Park is a highlight for many travelers, although a few have mentioned noise issues. Room experiences vary, with some finding them to be spacious and others citing maintenance concerns. Opinions on value are mixed, with some guests finding the pricing reasonable for the area and others deeming it overpriced. Cleanliness is generally praised, yet there have been rare mentions of oversight.

Stayed here last weekend and had a lovely time. The hotel goes out of their way to make your stay good. I had an executive room which gave me access to the club room which at the moment isnt like it used to be, but I had everything I wanted. My room was lovely and spacious and well decorated with a lovely huge bed. Breakfast is now served in the restaurant and was lovely. There was a small covid friendly buffet on where everything is served in individual dishes then a large menu for hot food and everybody is catered for. Hot/cold drinks avialable all day in the club room and at 5.30 canapes and alcoholic drinks were served. The hotel is 1st class with its Covid cleanliness, masks and sanitisers all over the hotel for guests to use and everything cleaned thoroughly. Felt so sorry because the hotel itself was nearly empty mainly due I think largely to overseas tourists not about. Hope things pick up soon for them and if you want a nice weekend away in London then this is the place. Also going around London everything is Covid friendly, nearly everyone wearing masks, shops adhering to policies. Will be back soon.

This is definitely our hotel of choice when in London. Great location on Park Lane with a lovely view out onto Hyde Park. It’s a short stroll to Oxford Street and the nearest tube station is Marble Arch.
The staff here are simply superb and will go out of their way to ensure your stay is exceptional. We were checked in by Vivienne who was extremely helpful in allowing us to both check in early and check out late.
The Executive Lounge is a good space to relax with a good selection of soft drinks available. In the evening they do serve red and white wine (self service) and there were snacks to help yourself to such as crisps, olives, peanuts etc. If it were not for COVID-19, I think there would have been even more options available.
Our key card was not working on one day but Christina was on hand to let us into our room after diligently making security checks which we found professional and reassuring.
Housekeeping were absolutely fantastic with the lovely Mihela providing us with additional toiletries upon request.
My husbands Titanium Lifetime Bonvoy membership was recognised during our stay and we were upgraded to a wonderful Executive Suite on the 5th floor which had a separate lounge and dressing room so we were extremely happy and will definitely be returning the next time we’re in London.
Finally, don’t miss the JW Steakhouse on site, it’s a wonderful restaurant and their signature cheesecake is just heavenly!
Thank you to all of the staff for a fabulous stay!

We usually stay at the Marriott Park Lane for our Xmas shopping trip to London but it was full & we opted to stay at the JW. We will be back.

Nice check in from a lovely Italian girl. Just loved the rooms (so spacious) even though they couldn't honour our suite upgrade request. Big bathroom with walk in shower & lovely big bed.

Club lounge is the best we have visited, even in comparison to the amazing club lounges in the Middle East. Food on offer was delicious & more than snacks & drinks were flowing for 4 hours every night. Staff were very accommodating & refilled food & drinks even near to closing time. Great breakfasts too.

We have enjoyed 3 visits to this hotel and on each occasion, the Management (under the excellent leadership and guidance of Jasper Anderegg) have made our stays wonderful memories!

This very convenient and centrally located hotel is within a perfect short walking distance of Hyde Park and Knightsbridge, and an even shorter distance to Oxford Street, so ideal for some pre Christmas Retail Therapy!

The hotel room and bathroom was immaculately clean during each stay and the House Keeping Team work so hard and do a wonderful job of ensuring every request is satisfied, from additional supplies of the luxury toiletries & in room refreshments, to their vast variety of pillows to suit different 'comfort' requirements and timely room cleaning services.

Another Team who simply cannot go unmentioned are the always friendly and polite, hard working Restaurant Team, who do all they can to ensure Breakfast (& Lunch & Dinner) Services run smoothly (special thanks to Kuh). The Chefs provide a delicious and extensive range of healthy fresh food products and the standard of their culinary skills is incredibly high. Coupled by the Bar Team (special thanks to Joao!) with the delicious range of freshly made super healthy Breakfast smoothie's and vast range of alcoholic drinks, this is a lovely space to enjoy an afternoon tea or champagne on a special (or just any!) occasion. Alternatively, you can spend some time in the piano bar - excellent for meetings or post shopping relaxation!

The friendly and helpful, super accommodating Reception Team and the Management clearly work very hard - consistently - to satisfy the Clients' needs. They 'listen' and 'hear' the client and they do all they can to ensure you feel so well looked after throughout your stay. Thanks again to Jasper, Anna, Leorndes, Gian Franco, and the remainder of the Team whose names I did not catch!

We very much look forward to our next stay and we wish you all a wonderful Festive Season!

Kind Regards
S&D

Horrible customer service. Assigned room reeked of cooked food odor - completely overwhelmed the minute we opened the door. Front desk staff insisted there were no other rooms nor suite upgrades, despite both being available for booking on their website. Zero appreciation for loyalty (Titanium member). We also hired a car from Heathrow and they emailed while we were in flight to say the cost was actually double because of the holiday. Totally unprofessional. This is an old, tired, rundown property living off it's reputation and getting away with it. There are cleaner, more updated properties within walking distance much more willing to help loyal Marriott customers.

Really friendly staff, extremely clean rooms, and incredible service. We stayed for a month at the same time the Euro Cup craze and Wimbledon fans were taking London by storm - and the covid safety measures taken at the hotel are unparalleled. Everyone on the staff wears masks indoors, breakfast buffet was covered, served, and portioned so as not to expose food to the air (or strangers breathing!), and rooms were cleaned very well. Cheesecake at the Steakhouse is a must-try!

I have spent over 1,000 nights in hotels worldwide and am Lifetime Titanium. By far, this is the best hotel I have ever stayed at. We had a great experience with every staff member we encountered. They are professional, gracious, attentive and caring. The best part is you can tell their smiles are genuine. Service is top notch. We returned one evening with way too many shopping bags in our hands after visiting Fortnum and Mason. (HINT: F&M will ship your goods for 25 GBP which we should have done) Anyways, the concierge noticed we were struggling a bit with all of our bags so he offered to deliver them to our room. So we were able to go grab a glass of wine in the lounge and relax…how great is that. The hotel is spotless, and our room was too. The room...oh it was beautiful. From the high quality sheets and towels to the décor, our room was fantastic. I had submitted my suite upgrade request and couldn’t believe I actually got it. Room #469 is like a small apartment with everything you could need. One of my favorite things about this JW is the large executive lounge which offered a nice assortment for both breakfast and dinner. The wine was wonderful as was the espresso machine and the high tea offerings set out in the afternoon. We still cannot believe how luxurious of an experience this was.

Diabolical service! I came here with a date for a coffee at 8pm and Sat down in the park room lounge near the piano. Not a single member of staff came into the room for atleast 10minutes, infact not a single member of staff even looked into the lounge area. They all kept walking past like there was nobody there. Even though it was full.

After 10mins of waiting I had to wave someone down. She came over and asked if her colleague had spoken to us. I said no. She explained there is a £35 cover charge for non residents. Absolutely shambolic but I didn't want to make a fuss as I was on a date. Coffees arrived and after this the staff were never to be seen again. Nobody bothered asking us if we're okay or if we need anything else. I had to wave someone down and ask for the bill.

Bill came and he said £96. Can you believe it? £96 for a coffee and English breakfast tea. Apparently cover charge was £35 per person which we were not told about. She only said "£35" which we presumed was the total cover charge. I reluctantly paid as didn't want to make a fuss infront of my date. I won't be coming here again. Total rip off and shambolic service.

Dear Marcahmed88, Thank you very much for taking the time to share your feedback regarding your most recent visit to the Park Room. It saddens me to learn that your experience did not meet your expectations especially regarding the quality of the service that you have received on the day. In no circumstance, guests should feel the need of waiving for service at the moment of ordering neither at the moment of requesting for the bill, service must be instead present and consistent. This does not match the level of standards and service that we pride ourselves and is truly something that I will take the time to address together with the team. Thank you for bringing this to my attention. With regards to the cover charge, I would like to apologize if you felt that it was not properly explained from the start. When guests arrive in the Park Room, we always try to direct them to the hostess desk prior of sitting to ensure that the arrival experience is aligned with our standards and to guarantee that guests are correctly allocated to a vacant table as per the plan of the room. Precisely to avoid a situation of misunderstanding, our team ensures to take the time to communicate the message in the most clear way possible to avoid later disappointment. Shall you wish to discuss this matter further, please feel free to reach out to me at andre.gouveia@marriott.com I hope to have the opportunity of welcoming you again in the Park Room in the near future. The Park room is a beautiful lounge with very comfy chairs, and nicely spread out so that you are not close to other tables/diners.

The staff were all excellent, and the service was perfect. They were very accommodating. We were served mainly by Tsampika, and she was lovely. We had our 3 year old son with us, and she went out of her way to make sure he was happy and had everything he needed......this was really appreciated as it made it a more relaxed and leisurely experience for us.

The quality of food was very good, and although it's expensive, we were able to have sandwiches and scones (and cakes if we had wanted) replenished as much as we wanted.

It's very much a treat, but I wouldn't hesitate in recommending, and we will be back again for another special occasion.

The JW Marriott, which is known by the taxis as Grosvenor House, is in a quiet and out of the way area in London. There is a lively area about 5-6 blocks from the hotel, but it is a decent taxi ride into the heart of London. The front desk is somewhat disorganized, and what is promised on the website is not exactly what you get in the rooms. We had a family room, which was a nice size, but the shower is incredibly strange with a step-up and super slippery. The toilet system is very old and makes groaning noises. The bed was soft and mushy.

The housekeeping department is iffy, as they rarely replenished soap, shampoo, and conditioner, and left the empty bottles. When we called down for shampoo, they brought lotion. We called again, and they brought lotion, again. Nutty.

The bellmen were delightful as were the concierges. The lounge food was marginal, and the lounge attendants have zero idea what they are doing and are in DESPERATE need of training. The toaster in the lounge was broken and there was zero effort to get it fixed or assist any of the guests with getting their bread toasted. There were supposed to be cocktails in the lounge but not one server had any idea about this, and it took repeated requests by many guests to get a manager out to assist with getting cocktails. And, even when he came, it wasn't really cocktails...just a juice mixed with a spirit.

I think this hotel is trying to save money and cut back unnecessarily, making it hard to get assistance at times.
