Hilton London Hyde Park fully completed its multi-million pound extensive refurbishment in June 2016. The work included a full revamp of meeting space, common areas and guest rooms. The number of rooms offered by the hotel has increased and there has been extensive restaurant expansion. All 136 bedrooms offer contemporary spaces with a classic twist, keeping in line with the rich history of the Grade II listed Edwardian building to cover the needs of the modern traveller. The plan also involved adding a new room type for families to reflect the increase of guests coming to visit London for leisure, looking for more space and comfort. The four new rooms are built so they can be accessed via a private door on a floor of their own and can be hired exclusively for larger groups, giving guests the comfort, personalisation and flexibility they need. The hotel also redesigned its restaurant space and turned what used to be tanning studio and hairdresser into Aubaine Hyde Park Restaurant, offering true blend of cosmopolitan style and French cuisine. All dining options are designed with you in mind. Start the day with a hearty breakfast or nutritious light bite or relax with a cup of coffee in the Aubaine Lounge Bar. From business brunches to pre-dinner drinks and everything in between, the options at Hilton are catered especially for you. All 136 guest rooms and Coburg meeting room for up to 30 guests offer wireless internet access. New Hilton Worldwide Cancellation policies: no cancellation charges until 1 day prior to arrival, 11:59pm.

Terrific service - especially Daniela at the Front Desk in the afternoon and evenings. Great food all day, the breakfast buffet, room service and dining in the evening. Wonderful room overlooking Hyde Park.

The hotel is in a fantastic location right next to Hyde Park and situated right next to Queensway underground station. You couldn't ask for a better location.
The hotel is an old building so this will not be like your standard Hilton. The rooms are all different shapes and sizes so if you can check in via your phone and select your room you can get an idea of the sizes available to you. Also be prepared to take the stairs. There is one very small elevator in the lobby and it is faster to take the stairs. My husband and I took up the entire elevator when we arrived with two checked bag suitcases.
We ran into a problem on our second night where our toilet would not stop running. There is no onsite maintenance at night so we were quickly moved to a new room and given a complimentary breakfast.
The beds were a tad firm and not the pillowy beds I have experienced with other Hiltons, but I was able to sleep easily.
The hotel is on a busy road so if you have a park view room and you are a light sleeper bring earplugs to drown out road noise.

Think the extra you get in a deluxe room must be the view of Hyde Park hidden partly by the trees because the room is compact. You wouldnt want to stay too long then probably few would as it seems to be stop over from the airport. However the place is clean and soundproofed- just try opening the windows and the full force of the Bayswater hits you. Luckily the aircon is effective. Very expensive restaurant is attached so walk around the corner to Queensway and you'll be spoiled for choice- and reasonably priced. Staff friendly and helpful

Our stay at Hilton Hyde Park did not reflect the standard suggested by their 4 star rating, this rating establishes an expectation of near perfection when it comes to customer service and cleanliness. However, to our disappointment, this standard was far from achieved.
Upon arrival to our room we were greeted with a pungent smell of weed, clearly unclean surfaces, food mess in the fridge and hair left in the bath.
Myself and my partner are not normally one to complain but with us working in customer service ourselves, and with one of us working in a different 4 star hotel, we knew this was unacceptable considering the price we paid.
We brought this to the attention of one of the hosts at the front desk, politely asking if we could change rooms or have someone clean the room while we went out for the evening. He assured us as they were fully booked, and that they would send someone to clean the room immediately.
When we then left the hotel for the evening we decided to check this was definitely the plan with a different member of staff who was very confused but agreed that the room would be cleaned that evening while we were away and made a note.
Coming home that evening we were greeted with the room in the same state that we found it - smelly and unclean.
This was not okay and especially with covid, not reassuring in the slightest. So we resorted to wiping down the room ourselves in order to make it comfortable for our stay - not something you should feel the need to do after forking out a large amount of money mainly due to there “committed to cleanliness” advertising.
The staff were unhelpful, unreassuring and condescending.
After three complaints, it would have been nice for some sort of action and responsibility.
The room was not up to standard and we have been left feeling utterly disappointed.

It seems like having a Diamond status is basically pointless at this hotel.

It was not made clear whether I received an upgrade, but I am guessing that I have received a room with a King size bed rather than a double bed.

The room was very dark and it did not have any view (just a small partial-courtyard with another building in the distance).

The Nespresso machine in the room was not working well (one capsule exploded) and while the room itself was clean, I’ve managed to find several long hairs in the bathroom (tiles, floor, however head).

The breakfast was the best part of my stay. It takes place in the restaurant attached to the hotel which is nicely decorated and provides breakfast menus for the guests. The service provided by the waitress was outstanding. The choice of food was really good and the food arrived very quickly.

A late check out benefit was unavailable during my stay as the hotel was fully booked out for the following night. It was disappointing not to receive at least an hour extra. From my experience, Marriott Bonvoy treats its members slightly better – I hold a Gold Status (not the highest tier) and I always receive a 2 pm checkout, even if the hotel is fully booked out, and when the hotels are not fully booked out, sometimes I receive a complimentary 3-4pm checkout (note: Marriott Gold is an upper mid-tier status, unlike the Hilton Diamond status which is the highest status in the Hilton programme).

I've been a Diamond Hilton Member for years, and have been completely loyal. Several weeks prior to arrival at the Hilton London Hyde Park, I asked for an early check in and an upgrade to the Dome Room. However, I was not given that option with e-checkin, and chose room 611. When boarding the plane in the US, to travel to the hotel, I received a message that our request for early checkin was denied. When we arrived, there were no rooms ready, and we were told we had to wait. After approximately 6 hours of sitting on the sofa in the Aubaine lounge it was strongly suggested by Vladmir, the manager, that we should take a room on the second floor. We were told it was the same class of service and it would be best. I declined and asked for room 611, as was granted by mobile checkin. After waiting another 2 hours, we were in fact given room 611. During the week, the Dome room was shown to more than one guest, and I was not given the option to move. Very painful New Years Day and disappointing stay. While we were there, we experienced some very unsettling things that happened in the hotel, and didn't feel secure. Due to this experience, I will be breaking my years long loyalty to Hilton. I don't expect Hilton will even attempt to make it right, even though I have international stays already booked at Hilton Resorts.

Dear 928JoeK, Thank you for staying with us at the Hilton London Hyde Park and also for taking the time to complete this feedback relating to your recent visit. As a valued Hilton Honors Diamond member, we certainly do appreciate your loyalty and patronage and your feedback is very important to us. I was deeply saddened to hear about your disappointment regarding your recent stay in our property. Here at the Hilton London Hyde Park we strive to deliver the very best of guest experiences, it would appear however, that this time we have fallen short of this commitment and for this I offer my sincerest apologies to you. After reading of your experience with us I have both investigated our records and spoke to the team about the issues that you wrote about. I can see that you did in fact request an early check-in on your arrival date. However, this is always subject to availability upon check-in day. As I am sure you will understand, we were on a period of high occupancy due to the festive period and it was not possible to guarantee an early check-in to you as we would have gladly done free of any extra charge had we had the availability. Once you arrived to our property the early check-in option was still a standing option for you as my colleague informed you. I can assure you that the whole team put an effort towards delivering the requested room to you as soon as it was possible As my colleague informed you we would have been more than happy to assign a fresh room to you in the same category which you had booked thus allowing you to check-in before the standard time of 3:00 PM when the check-in is guaranteed. At that moment we had a room ready on the second floor which you choose not to consider. I was moreover sorry to read about your frustration on not having your reservation upgraded to our Dome Suite. Unfortunately, this room was occupied by another guest on the first two days of your stay. As the room was not available for the full rest of your stay the front office team did not thought it proper to offer you the option to move into the suite only for a section of your stay. Once again let me express my regret in regards to the unfortunate and disappointing experience that you had with us. As I mentioned already your loyalty really means a lot to us and we would love to have you back as a guest. Should you decide to visit us again please let us know and we will do our best to give you a different vision of our hotel. Please do not hesitate to contact me should you need any further assistance Luca Golzio, Asst. Night Manager

This particular hotel is situated on Bayswater road W2, which affords lovely walks around Hyde park and surrounding area. The hotel its self has an alluring facade which generates curb appeal, the reception area is tiny but smells divine with the freshly placed bouquet of flowers.

Once inside the hotel, corridors are dated and annoyingly narrow for the modern traveler, the room is comfortable and pleasingly decorated.

The adjoining bathroom is quite narrow but function-able for one person on a short business stay, the shower & lavatory facilities were clean to satisfactory level however the bathroom would in my opinion benefit from a nice scent rather than stale air.

The bed was found to be comfortable with crisp clean sheets that afforded a nice rest after a long days travel and subsequent long walks around London.

COVID- 19 measures in place are adequate however upon entering the room for the first time I noticed approved cleanliness to current regulations on mirrors, TV & remote control, however the device that is always touched and breathed on is the room telephone which was filthy beyond belief thick with debris.

The overall aroma inn the room was quite musky probably due to being closed for a long period.

We arrived on the 9/8/21 for a two night stay to celebrate our Golden Wedding. On check in there were some confusion, due to the Hotel having information of one night stay, That was later resolved. We are both elderly and I am disabled. No assistance with luggage to our Room. The room was really dark but had a nice view over the Park. We only had half a tube of used shower Gel, however this was resolved. The inside of the bathroom door was tired, the wood splintered and in need of painting. The cooked breakfast could have been better. On the second day our room had not been serviced and a member of the staff at Reception was contacted and informed us that Cleaning Staff were still working and he would resolve it. Two hours later we returned and still no bed made, no new towels and toilet not cleaned. The explanation offered was that the Room Service was only available on a 3 night stay. I found this appalling when one considers the Covid situation. At 7.30pm we received clean towels but my wife was obliged to make her own bed and clean the toilet on her Wedding Anniversary. Sorry this cannot be right. One would get better service at Premier Inn.

We had originally booked into the Hilton London Metropole however having read the reviews we changed to the Hilton Hyde Park and it was definitely the right move! The location is perfect. Literally next door to the tube and opposite the gate into Hyde Park. We parked in Westfield and got the tube however then realised there is plenty of nearby free on street parking after 12.30 on a Saturday until 08.00 Monday morning. Just have to search a little but we spotted lots of spaces.

Check in was very friendly and we even managed to check into our room early (107 which is large and well appointed). Table service for breakfast was very good with a super choice of food and one of the best cooked breakfasts I have had.

Every single member of staff was very kind and courteous. Highly recommend this hotel

We booked this branch of Hilton looking at the high scoring on a booking website. We requested for a twin room. Upon entering the room we realised the beds are joined. The reception was very prompt to say that they are sending to sort this out. We were under the impression that they will change our room. So we did not unpack or even sat on the chairs but made a cup of tea. After at least 10 or so minutes a team arrived to separate the beds. Because of COVID restrictions we had to leave the room. The nice staff guided us to the sitting area where I had my drink. Thank you for that. There were few specialty teas in the room but not the normal breakfast ones. No body wash either. Had to ask for it. Not a big deal but it is when you are in “Hilton”.
We were there for a wedding. In the morning I discovered that the make up light around the mirror does not work. To use the other mirror you have to stand up by the bathroom door with nowhere to keep the make up stuff or look through the tea coffee shelves. The wall was covered by a mirror behind the shelf. This was very inconvenient at the time. My husband reported it and it was fixed but too late for me. And then when we came back from the wedding late at night the sink was not draining. Needless to say that was the another big inconvenience. We have used the shower for washing faces etc. Again we were told that we should have reported at the time. Last thing we wanted is someone trying to unblock the sink at very early hours of the morning. Overall very very disappointed! Not sure we are going to stay in Hilton anymore definitely not in this one. No complaints about the staff but 0 rating for the maintenance. The two problems we encountered would have been easily corrected if regular check ups had been done.

Was given a room on the third floor. Hotels in the UK never provide rooms in the basement and without windows- it’s unheard of, and an up market hotel like Hilton would definitely not do that. I can’t believe you even asked it!
