The London Marriott Hotel Kensington is celebrated for its stellar location, nestled in a tranquil neighborhood yet conveniently close to attractions and tube stations, according to numerous guests. While the rooms are regularly commended for their spotlessness and modern flair, opinions on their size and value are mixed, with some guests questioning the cost-benefit ratio. Although the service is generally regarded as amiable, a few reviewers have pointed out lapses, particularly in the dining service. Amenities are plentiful, yet the ambiance in common areas has room for improvement.

We booked an executive room which meant we had access to the executive lounge which was great we really enjoyed that, and breakfast was also nice with lots of choice.
We were given room 249 on 2nd floor with a view of the houses that backed onto the hotel so not much privacy or a view for that matter. Our room was interconnecting which meant we heard everything from next door even there phone calls, so I wouldn’t recommend an interconnecting room (unless you actually need one).
We stayed for 3 nights and paid £200 a night, for that price we would expect free wifi but you have to pay for it… which isn’t ideal when you also don’t have great phone signal in the hotel.
You can’t connect your phone to the smart TV also I tried several times.
Hotel is in a good location around a 20-30 min walk to harrods and 5-10 min walk to two tube stations.
All staff are very welcoming and helping from reception to executive lounge, restaurant and housekeeping so thank you!

The Marriott Hotel Kensington was a nice surprise. We stayed for nine days and used the Kensington as a central location for our vacation. The room was smaller than we are used to in the USA but honestly we were seldom noticed since we were out all day. Our room was cleaned each day and offered a small refrigerator, in room coffee/tea and air conditioner (we didn’t need it, but good to have for the unexpected hot day or inability to open a window). The staff throughout the hotel was friendly and attentive (except for the bartenders who could use some service fine tuning). We particularly want to give a shout out to the desk, concierge and restaurant staff; they were wonderful and helped us through out our visit. We thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast buffet each morning and thought the room with buffet breakfast price was “reasonable” considering the enormous food options. The location was great for all our needs; it was an easy walk to two underground stations/bus stops, restaurants, and across the street from a grocery store and laundromat. We highly recommend the Marriott Hotel Kensington!

A one night stay: we arrived around 1pm couldn't find anyone to help with our luggage, but were able to 'borrow' the concierge's trolley. As our room wasn't ready we briefly used the Exec lounge (we're Bonvoy Titantium level) which was in need of a clean and replenish, and is on the basement level with no windows, so a bit dark and gloomy. Having to go out before our room was ready, we had left our luggage with the front desk, who had said we would be upgraded as per our Bonvoy status.

On returning to the hotel at 6pm, we went to get our key - our luggage hadn't been taken to our room (the lady on reception actually said "Oh, did you want it in your room? You didn't ask." I'm not too sure what our response should have been!)
Although we had been upgraded to the top floor, this amounted purely to a coffee machine being in the room. Entry level rooms are quite tiny, especially for two guests with luggage (24 sqm), although the recent refurb has been very well designed within the limitations, with a spacious shower (no bath) and single basin. The room was beautifully clean.

As we hadn't been given any details for the timing of the exec lounge (yes, perhaps we should have asked but we were rushed and are used to being given pertinent information on arrival), we missed the drinks and food by half an hour. Can't comment on the breakfast as we had to leave just as it opened.

Stayed at this Marriott hotel to attend a concert at the nearby Royal Albert Hall. The hotel was in a great spot, just 5 mins away from the venue in an uber. Uber cost was approx £5 each way.

Location wise there was a couple of nice pubs within a 5 minute walk of the hotel and we were able to get to the hotel by tube easily as there was a station just a couple of minutes walk away.

I won't say too much about the hotel as it was being refurbished while we were there so the restaurant was being operated out of a function room and there were clearly public areas that were closed off to the public.

The bedroom that we were allocated was really lovely though, clearly had been refurbished already. Very clean, comfortable and felt very premium.

Staff were all super friendly, especially the breakfast staff who couldn't do enough to help us and even gave us some much needed tourist tips for London.

It was our first stay at a Marriott hotel but after our Kensington stay it won't be the last.

Highly recommended 👍🏻

I chose this hotel because of its good location and because i expected it to be similar to other Marriotts around the world. Unfortunately, I found this hotel to be different to what is expected of Marriott hotels, as it has only kept bath/shower combos for the suites. Shower in standard rooms is poorly designed as is the overall shower room. Several of the toiletries in the shower area (eg bath wash and hand wash) were half empty, making me think that the hotel does not replace them after each guest. I did not discover there was almost no bath wash until in the shower. The renovated rooms are very tiny. The 2 Apple computers in the renovated executive lounge did not work. The offerings in the executive lounge are the most scant and poorest quality I have come across in a Marriott executive lounge.

Booked a 7 night stay at this hotel to celebrate my third anniversary with my partner. The hotel staff kindly decorated my room with rose petals + gave us a platter of fruits and macarons which we really enjoyed. Front desk team and technician readily helped me with the tv server issue. despite them not really knowing how to solve it, they really tried their best and I’m so thankful for that. Housekeeping staff who cleaned and tidied my room (438) on 16 February 2022, really went above and beyond to pack my room. I understand that the housekeeping team generally have a very busy schedule but the fact that they even arranged my shoes / makeup / skincare products neatly and even drained the shower shows that they really put utmost care in making each and every guest’s stay comfortable. Marriott is good but it’s really all thanks to the staff’s hard work that the Marriott brand is so reputable and well established.

Stayed here for 3 nights last weekend in a deluxe queen room.

Excellent location
Rooms are excellent and very clean
Rooms have a large hairdryer in the room. (not the typical small wall mounted ones in bathrooms you find in many hotels)
Quality toiletries refreshed each day
Quality bedding and comfy beds
Quality iron and ironing board in Rooms.
Plenty of drawer space and coat hangers.
Safe, secure hotel.
Great concierge and reception staff.
Excellent location for Earls Court, Gloucester Road and Kensington.
Earls Court and Gloucester Road Tube Stations 5/8 minutes walk.
One of the best hotels we have stayed in London. Stayed many times over the years and service consistent.
Certainly recommend.

Only negative is the Bonvoy Members App. Did not get notified when room was ready and had an issue with room cleaning service so used the chat facility on the App and took over 2 hours for a customer agent to answer and sort the issue. Not good.

The hotel is about 10 minute walk from science, natural history and V&A museums. It is just finishing a refit, so our room was modern and clean. We had an executive room, not the biggest one but perfectly fine. We were disappointed to see it had an interconnecting door, rightly. These doors are not sound proofed. The first night the child in the next room screamed a lot. I asked reception if they were checking out before us and we were offered an alternative room. Didn’t think it was worth the hassle, but that night about 6 adults chatted very loudly. To be fair they quietened down once I knocked on their door. The lounge provides food and drink. One last point, why when they know two people are using a room, do they supply one robe?

We were checked in very quickly having used the app.
Used the executive lounge for drinks and snacks staff there very helpful, polite and generous.
After returning to our room we were welcomed with a tray of delicious sliced fresh fruit and a large bottle of water.
I first thought it was champagne 😂😂
We were given a superior king bedroom but not a Cromwell Road view
I wonder why we we were not offered a room on a higher floor ?
The concierge could have been more welcoming rather than staring like a security guard
We know London very well but I think it would be intimidating for a tourist

Thank you to staff and management at the hotel.
Happy to come for repeat stays.

I stayed at this hotel for three nights on a business trip and it was a “decent” hotel. By this I mean that the location was central and easy to reach the Earl’s Court or Gloucester Road stations on the Piccadilly line and the room was big enough to set out luggage, there was a desk to do work, there were USB ports by the bed, and there was access to a gym that was attached to the building. There is limited food options available (limited room service) as the restaurant is currently under renovations. Good value for the money but don’t expect many bells or whistles.

I was very pleased to read that our Hotel and services meet with your approval even though we are currently finalising the full renovation of our Bar and Restaurant, set to open end of March 2020. Whilst those works are ongoing, the service we usually offer in those outlets has been relocated to our conference space. We hope to be able to welcome you back in the very near future and showcase the new Restaurant and Bar. Assuring you of the best of our intentions at all times, I remain Yours Sincerely,
