After reading other reviews I was a little worried, but I needn’t of been. The staff were very helpful, room decor a little dated but was clean and fulfilled its purpose. Bus stops just outside the hotel for getting everywhere we wanted to go. All in all a good stay.
Our room was clean, spacious & airy, but my most wonderful surprise & delight had to be the view from our window on the top floor, you could see straight across to Wembley Arch. It was just fabulous lying in bed & seeing it lit up in the evenings, especially as the Euro's were on. The bar & restaurant area was nice & very modern, we enjoyed a Cocktail in there whilst watching the world go by. We decided to order room service one evening & the quality of the food was fantastic, all piping hot, fresh ingredients & made to order. Location wise, this hotel is just perfect to get around London on the underground or even to Westfield shopping centre on the overground. There are several restaurants on the doorstep & the area itself feels very safe & well equipped. The staff always greeted you with a smile & couldn't do enough for you, they even upgraded our room free of charge! We had such a fantastic time that we changed our train back & stayed on an extra night.…
Although the hotel is about 15 minutes walk from the underground, it was in a nice area and close to lots of places to eat. Staff were friendly and helpful and the room was quiet, clean and the air con worked well. Three small issues which weren’t particularly bad. 1) If you’re taller than about 5’8” your head would hit the ceiling in the shower (didn’t affect me as I’m short). 2) Had to play hunt the sausages and bacon at breakfast as they were in a different part of the restaurant and 3) There seemed to be an awful lot of security guards - 2 at the front door, 1 at reception and two at different parts of the stairs.
Hotel was in a nice location. We were able to check in early after a long journey with a plane and two trains. I wouldn’t fly into Stansted again. Lesson learned. The staff were nice and the hotel was fine for our family of five. We booked a family room and connecting room with double bed. It was ideal and the breakfast included was perfect for us since the kids can be well fed before we hit the town. We went walking, jumped on double decker buses, rode the underground, even added a pedi bike to explore London. Loved the city. Everything was perfect except the bar/restaurant “Society”. It seemed like everyone was on their first day of work. They were super nice but it was painful to just go get a drink. And ordering dinner? Forget about it. I would stay at hotel again for location and breakfast. Just have dinner plans in town.…
The hotel needs a serious renovation. The room was dirty, the carpet smelly and old, curtains also smelly. The shower was from early 90s and needs to be changed. The only positive was the super service-minded staff which was so helpful and nice, especially the ones working at breakfast buffet. Also, the location was very good. But I would not recommend to stay at this hotel.
