Neighbourhood
Marylebone
Marylebone offers what so many London neighbourhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.

We just completed a 5 night stay here and it was perfectly acceptable. We had trouble with our luggage at Gatwick and concierge was great at receiving our luggage and keeping it in our room even before we checked in. Check in was smooth. The room had 2 queens and was a good

The hotel has a very good location for a weekend shopping in London. It is close to all the shops and there is a lot of A-list restaurants and cafes within walking distance. I will go back for sure when I visit London!

We took the Heathrow Express to Paddington Station. Very easy and quick comfortable ride. We walked to the hotel but on our return to the airport we took a taxi back to Paddington. Very fast. If you purchase your Heathrow Express 30+ in advance of your travel date, the price is much cheaper. Plus you can hop on the train without having to stop in the terminal and buy the tickets. We ended up arriving on a Sunday and departing on a bank holiday so the tickets were very reasonable. Had the tickets on my phone so it was very easy. Signage directs you through the terminal.
